Part 24

Geet whispered in the Mare's ears,"Come on Star Light,we can get those guys!"

The sound of the hooves of the horses filled the forest.

It started to rain adding more thrill to the harness racing.

Sometimes it was Geet who led,sometimes Romeo and sometimes Maan.Suddenly,thunder rumbled and lightning flashed across the sky causing Star Light to neigh wirh fear and panic.

For a moment Geet felt herself lose balance but quickly recovered and steadied herself on the saddle.She saw Maan and Romeo race in full speed through the forest.

"shh..Star Light.I am here Okay?we have to win this race at any cost!"she whispered to the horse as it whined .

Geet patted its head and said ,"Good girl!"

Vicky didn't feel like playing the Nationals.Something was not right,he thought.

He wanted to go back to Delhi-at any cost.

He looked around the Mumbai Airport and saw his friends coming up to him.

"Yaar,Sid..I am going to Delhi yaar"he said with his eyes lowered.

"What?"Anant yelled with Sid.

"How can you be so irresponsible Vikaas?You're the vice captain , for heaven's sake!"Sid said angrily.

"I don't know..I feel like something is going to happen!"he said disturbed.

"Kuch nahi hoga!ab chal hamare sath!"Sid said as he pulled Vicky with him.

Geet was trying her best to control Star Light.But it was frightened!

Another thunder rumbled and Star Light gave a sounded neigh and leapt forward causing Geet to fall down from the mare.

She fell down and her head hit the sharp stone that had been lying there!

"AH!"she screamed as the stone hit her hard making her head bleed.

Geet tried to stand up but failed miserably and that was when she realised that she was getting soaked with BLOOD!

Her eyes blurred with images and voices of Brij killing Gurvinder..the way Gurvinder's blood splashed on her face..

Her head started spinning as she felt herself getting engulfed in darkness..

Maan and Romeo were racing in full speed when Maan accidentally turned back to see whether Geet was following them.

His eyes searched for her and when he couldn't find her following him he stopped his Stallion by the harness and turned it around and traced his way back.

"Wow!kithna dreamy hai!"Neha told Annie as they were watching "Mausam"

Neha looked towards Annie who was simply flipping her phone.She nudged Giselle to ask what was wrong.

"Annie?Where are you lost?"Giselle asked waving her hand in front of Annie's face.

Annie jerked out of her thoughts and said,"Don't know..I fell like..Something terrible is going to happen!"

Maan's heart was thudding with fear and anxiety.

Would something have happened to her?

If it does,Then I wouldn't be able to forgive myself! He thought as he yelled her name

He saw Star Light rush towards him in full speed.

Maan jumped off from his stallion and went towards starlight and asked,"Where is Geet starlight?"

She shook her head sadly and Maan felt his heart stop beating.He quickly climbed on Star Light's saddle and ordered,"Take me to Geet."

Maan was quick enought to spot Geet.

"GEET!!"he yelled as he saw her lying in a pool of blood.

He jumped off the Mare and ran towards Geet.

"Geet..wake up Geet..Geet "he said as he patted her cheek.

He placed her on star light and then jumped over the horse and made Geet rest her head on his Shirt and Maan shouted,"GO!"

Maan reached City Hospitald in record time with Geet in his arms.

"DOCTOR!!DOCTOR!!"he yelled as he rushed inside carrying Geet in his arms.

"Maan?"a woman doctor came out.

"Anushka auntie,please save her..please!"Maan begged his family doctor with tears rolling down his cheeks..

"Shh..Calm down..I will!"the doctor said as she signalled for the ward boys to take Geet in a stretcher.

It was five hours since Maan had admitted Geet in the hospital.Annie and he had been waiting for Vicky to arrive.

Maan felt so helpless in front of fate-again.

He ran his fingers through his hair when he saw Vicky come towards him.

Vicky grabbed him by the collar and shouted,"HOW DARE YOU TRY TO KILL HER?HOW DARE YOU?If ANYTHING HAPPENS,IF ANYTHING HAPPENS,I WILL NEVER SPARE YOU!"

Maan jerked Vicky's hand clutching his collar and yelled back,"BAS KARO VICKY..BAHOTH HOGAYA!AGAR EK AUR BAAR TUMNE MUJH PAR CHILLA MUJHSE BURA KOI NAHI HOGA,SAMJHE TUM?"

"ENOUGH OF YOUR DRAMA MR.MAAN SINGH KHURANA,YOU ALREADY KILLED MY SISTER I WILL NEVER ALLOW YOU TO KILL BHABI TOO.."

Maan was about to shout back when Dr.Anushka came out.

Maan and Vicky rushed towards her and asked her in chorous,"How is she?Is she okay?"

The woman shook her head and said ina calm voice,"She is under observation".

.She looked at Annie who was cuddled up in a corner crying her eyes out.

She called Annie and took the three of them inside her cabin to have a private talk with them.

"Vikaas,is she taking her pills regularly?"Anushka asked Vicky.

Maan was confused.Why should Geet take pills?what kind of pills should she take?

His thoughts were broken when the doctor asked annie,"Is she having the nightmares again?"

Annie nodded sadly.

The doctor sighed sadly and said,"I am sorry but I hate to tell you this..Geet is suffering from Traumatic disorder and a part of her brain has been affected due to the bitter experiences of life.

I highly doubt that Geet might be back to normal anymore!"

"Ek minute auntie..what are you all hiding from me?"Maan asked angrily.

Anushka stood up and went towards her window and said to Maan,"I am sorry maan.I asked Vicky to hide this matter from you..Geet..Geet has been abused emotionally and physically earlier."
