Arnav storms downstairs, comes face to face with Payal.
- Where's khushi?
- Must be somewhere around. Any problem?
In the meantime, Khushi was getting that creep Shyam incessant calls to come on the terrace where he intimidated her n reminded her the lost she gonna encounter if she goofs up.
A troubled Khushi comes back in the hall to see the entire family looking at her strangely. All the blood drain from her face when Payal tells her Arnav Ji is looking for her. Omg!! He knows about her cancelled engagement!! No it can't be!
She runs from there without a word while everybody is still scratching his head about what was going on. Some minutes later Arnav comes, asks for her again, learns that she is gone and rushes out like a hurricane while Mamiji asks irritatingly: "Hello hi bye bye, why is Arnav bitwa running after phati saree on his engagement day when Miss TipTop is here?"
When Khushi reaches home, she didn't get the time to lock the door. He was there in his SUV. He gets down and walks towards her.
Khushi's heart is pounding in her chest, her hands cold and her feet trembling, refusing to obey her. She turns her back to him; waiting...
What is she going to do now? One thing is certain, Arnav doesn't know about Shyam yet but he is here and this in itself is dangerous. If he finds about Shyam and his disgusting conditions he has just laid...
She shivers thinking of the Tsunami it will raise...Finally
- Arnav Ji, what are you doing here?
- What are YOU doing here? I was looking for you everywhere?
- Why?
- Don't you have anything to tell me about ur engagement?
They stare at each other and Khushi gulps.
- Khushi I'm talking to you and I want to know why you didn't tell me that ur engagement was called off ?
Her silence is killing him and he is on the verge of blowing a fuse. Gosh he hates it when she is in her Khushi "Pigheaded" Gupta mode.
He is getting pissed, he always does when she doesn't answer or ignore him and Khushi knows it. Before he starts yelling and breaking things around, she decides to talk.
- Yes my engagement is broken.
- N you didn't bother to tell me?
- Why should i? Who are you? Why are so interested in a girl who doesn't exist for you?
- Shut up!! You owe me an explanation dammit!!
How dare this whimsical man play with her feelings? Khushi snaps:
- No I don't owe u anything Mr Arnav Singh Raizada. What do you think of yourself? I'm not your property or a piece of furniture which you'll claim one day and discard when you feel like it!! Please leave. I once told you and I'll repeat myself, you are ASR in your house.
He moves towards her angrily, grabs her, pulls her closely and in between gritted teeth tells her not to test his patience. She struggles to free herself from his grip and pushes him away. He looks at her menacingly, anger threatening to overpower him, he clutches his fists till his knuckles ache and closes his eyes.
No!! This is not going the way he thought it would. Why are we fighting? Why am I upsetting her? I've left everything to tell her how I feel about her...
He takes a deep breath and opens his mouth but before he can say anything...
- Fine!! What do you want to know? Why I've broken my engagement? Well my fiance turns out to be a cheater, a cheap guy like you predicted.
He looks at her, shocked and pained. She is clearly very upset and out of herself. He wanted to take her in his arms to soothe her pain, to tell her sorry for all those harsh words but...
- My fiance was a cheater, I broke every tie with him and I'm happy. I didn't leave him for you Mr Arnav Singh Raizada. This poor girl was not waiting for you just like the "Ameer" ASR was not treasuring my anklet and waiting for me.

Just then the Gs reach home and look at both of them. Payal asks with concern:
- Is everything ok?
- Yes!! Arnav Ji was about to leave!!
