Maan felt a sledgehammer blow to his chest with just the thought that Ved has proposed to Geet__________ his Geet! And she had been clutching those flowers to herself----- !!! Did that mean-----?

He couldn't even process the thought.

In his desperation, his fear of losing her, all his careful planning, his logical way of thinking and all his self thoughts of giving Geet some time to adjust to this new formed friendship all flew out of his head.

He gripped her arms and almost fearfully asked,

" what did you say in reply? Geet tell me you didn't say yes. Damn it answer me! If you said yes, I will------"

"What ? What will you do Maan sir?"

Geet had her head to one side; she was studying Maan as if seeing a rare species through her microscope for the first time. . If there would have been anyone in place of Geet, the person would have fainted dead away with fright, faced with MSK's renowned anger, but Geet wasn't afraid of him.

"I'll---- I'll---- How dare he proposes to you----- doesn't he know, you are mine! Only mine! You-----."

"I am not a possession Mr. Khurana, I don't belong to anyone. What a ridiculous thing to say! Don't you compare me to one of your acquisitions of property!"

"Compare you to what? What are you saying? Why would I think of you as such---------- do u think I run after properties the way I did after you?"

"How would I know? I don't know what you like or dislike? I don't know you Mr. Maan Singh Khurana. You might very well get focused acquiring a property in the same way as you think you own me for the time we had spent together in Delhi! I have seen you get the glee of the chase when you are after a certain land or real estate----- or when someone challenges you, u might very well have confused me to any of those emotions!"

"You don't know me! That is the biggest lie you ever told Geet! You know me better than anyone else in my life! You understood me better than what I understood myself to be. Do you think acquiring properties keeps me awake night after night? Do you think any challenge has ever made it impossible for me to sleep on my own bed! That riding a simple elevator will become so unbearable due to the memories that I started climbing stairs instead? Can you think of anything in this world which can make a cup of coffee make you feel grief as if someone has torn your heart and put hot coals in its place?"

A calm decended over Geet. She blinked and everything seemed to be very clear all of a sudden. Maan was still livid to say the least and hadn't yet noticed the change in her. But Geet felt her heart straining towards the light of joy and happiness that it sensed almost within its reach. Geet didn't dare hope, didn't dare think ahead for fear she would jinx it, but with the knowledge that almost all woman are born with she knew what Maan was on the brink of____ teetering on.

Very calmly she looked straight at Maan and asked, "Whatever do you mean Maan Sir, I am sorry I am unable to comprehend what you are saying."

"I love you Damn it!" The words exploded out of him.

"You have put some sort of spell over me and I cant go back to being the Maan Singh Khurana that I had been before you came into my life. Everything in my life reminds me of you, everything makes me yearn for you and if you say that you have accepted Ved's proposal then I will very well be charged with murder as I will kill anyone who intends to take you away from me, do you understand?" Maan gave her a shake, emphasizing the words that had poured out of him. He was past caring that he had planned a slow and gradual process by which he would win Geet's heart again. He knew that he might just have finished all his hopes for winning her again when he saw her eyes fill up and spill over.

"Oh my God! Geet please don't cry--- please, I have hurt you again! I will go away, I will never show you my face again, please just don't cry!"

"Can you say that again?"

Maan's heart twisted with pain, "I will go away and never show you my face again."

"No before that."

Maan frowned, "That I will be charged with murder as I will kill Ved."

"No before that!"

Maan blinked, he saw the twin emotions of hope and joy sparkling out of Geet's eyes, the smile that was struggling just at the corner of her lips. And he swallowed and put his heart out in a platter for her to see.

"I love you Geet________ I love you."

The words were beautiful as they rang of sincerity, drenched with Maan's emotion.Geet closed her eyes on a sigh.

"I know you used to love me, but I didn't understand its importance, I ridiculed your feelings. You said that day that you don't love me anymore, but Geet if you can find it in your heart to like me at least than I will do everything to make up for all your heartache, just give me some time. I won't pressurize you, I promise. I will just keep hoping that one day you might just love me again."

Geet's heart seemed about to burst. Can this be a dream? Will it all fade if she opened her eyes?

"Geet say something, anything, just don't keep quiet, you are killing me with your silence."

Geet opened her tear filled eyes and looked at Maan_______ her Maan Sir. His eyes filled with fear and anguish. What a change in a man who claimed he could never love anyone. She remembered that in Delhi, all along her heart had been right whenever it had sensed that he cared for her, he just didn't realize it.

"Geet!"

"You know Maan Sir, I was praying to my Babaji, that if this is a dream, I don't ever want to return to reality.

I never stopped loving you Maan Sir. I am not capable of doing it. My heart had belonged to you from that first time when I had lost it to you."

Maan's eyes roamed her face, he could see the truth of her words now reflecting out of her eyes and her smile and ____________ his eyes filled up as he realized what a gift God has granted him.

Geet saw Maan Singh Khurana's eyes fill up with tears and her eyes grew huge-------

"Maan Sir!" she breathed.

But Maan shook his head and engulfed her to his chest, savouring the feeling of having her so close to him.

"Mine! My Geet."

Geet's arms snaked up and enclosed his neck. The need to get even closer was so great for both of them. It wasn't a passionate embrace. It was two hearts straining to feel each other's beat. Maan crushed her to him and almost lifted her off her feet and Geet giggled. The sound of it made Maan pull his head back and look at her face. He gulped. How dry his throat had been and he hadn't even noticed.

"Geet can you ever forgive me for not trusting in you?"

"I already have Maan Sir. Adi told me about Sameera. But he said I should ask you to tell me the complete story. Will you tell me what had happened? Will you share with me?"

"I will tell you everything. I don't want any more misunderstandings between us ever again. I never want to lose you again. Life isn't just worth living without you Geet."

Just then they heard the elevator phone start ringing and they were both jolted out of the world they had escaped to. Maan picked up the phone and heard a technician asking him whether there is some problem inside the lift as the lift is not moving. Hearing this both of them realized that the lift was still at the same place that Msk had stopped it. Geet placed her hand over her mouth to stop any sound of her laughter escaping and Maan quickly invented a problem to make up for their lift being standard in between two floors.

They both came out of the elevator at the basement parking lot to see many people standing there concerned. Ved came out of the people waiting and rushed towards Geet.

"Geet are you ok? What had happened? Maan are you Ok?"

A look passed between Maan and Geet but they quickly rushed forth to assure everyone how due to some technical fault, the lift had stopped in between two floors and they hadn't been able to get out of it.

Ved looked back and glanced at the beautiful bouquet of flowers that he had handed Geet to hold, which was now lying on the floor of the elevator, totally crushed and ruined.

"What did you do to my flowers Geet?"

Geet felt her face heat up, " nothing actually, I was so tensed inside, and we were trying to get out s in the confusion, the flowers were trampled. I am sorry Ved, we will gift her more flowers."

The day had almost ended and Geet was to accompany Ved to meet Anjali, the girl Ved had fallen for as she didn't want to dine with Ved all alone and so Geet said a reluctant 'bye' to Maan. Maan also couldn't think of anything to say to stop her without disclosing anything to anyone and so even though both of them felt that a lot remained to be discussed, and they both wished to spend more time together, they bid 'goodnight' to each other.

The next morning Maan walked in as was usual before anyone else arrived. He walked straight to Geet's cabin and kept the rose on her desk. He had bought the card thinking he would write 'Good Morning' as he did everyday. But today he wanted to write something else too. He had called her the night before, and they had spoken for some time but it still felt unsatisfactory as somebody or other had kept on interrupting her all through the call. He smiled remembering how she had been strangely shy and hesitant in talking to him.

This falling in love, then the realization and then the emotions after expressing oneself_________ all had such a wonderful feeling of elation, a new meaning to the same person that he had known for some time now. They had been so intimate with each other in Delhi, but the feelings that he was experiencing for her now, the love , the tenderness all were new and so endearing, filling his heart with sunshine.

Standing there in her cabin, surrounded by small pieces that she had scattered here and there, giving her cabin a personal touch, he again felt the wonderment he had felt all night long. Geet was truly his. All the past months and days that they had spent away from each other, the emotional pain that they had endured all now seemed washed off in the glow of the love that he had seen reflected in Geet's eyes.

A strange shyness invaded Geet the next day as she opened the heavy glass doors that led into their office. So much had changed since yesterday. She had been so intimate with Maan before, but now she felt her cheeks go hot with just the memory of him and his declaration of love the day before. Her heart gave some strange little leaps everytime someone mentioned his name. The knowledge that he loved her seemed to have propelled all her senses to an overdrive. She entered her cabin and stood at the threshold staring at the single red rose resting on her desk with a small card next to it. A smile spread over her face. Geet took the rose in her hands and picked up the card

"My day just became more brighter, as you walked in it. Good Morning Geet."

Adi could swear that something was different about Maan Sir today. He just couldn't place his finger on it. MSK was being very calm and quiet as was usual for him and yet at odd times Adi raised his head in between discussing about the next upcoming project that MSK was interested in and he found him looking off at the distance with a smile on his lips.

Maan on the other hand was getting exasperated with Geet. He had called her so many times now, and yet she declined to either let him go to her cabin or come to his. She didn't want any change in their daily routine from the day he had first arrived here, as she didn't want any office gossip or speculation. He needed to see her, didn't she understand that.

"Adi we need to think of a good, solid plan to trap Sasha. I won't feel happy until she gets what is her due."

"Right Maan sir, but we will need Geet for this."

"Hum--- yeah you are right, then______ lets do something, call Geet here and lets plan something big."

Maan gave an smothered a grin, this was exactly the response that he had been seeking from Adi. The whole morning he had seen Adi give him confused and strange looks whenever his attention had strayed from his work.

'Now lets see Geet, what excuse you come up with.'

Adi gave a call to Geet in the office intercom and asked her to come over to MSK's cabin. Geet kept the receiver back in its place and then took a deep breath to sooth her heart which was again behaving as if somersaults were the order of the day.

So here's chapter-32 everyone. I put my heart out to write it and so really hope you all will like it. The declaration of love and its after glow is something so special that i couldn't make do with just one quote as you all can see.
