Chapter 9

Days passed on like this. They would have shoots and hardly get time to talk. Shakti was returning back to her normal self but the difference could be made out. She was trying to keep herself away from Amar as she was not ready to face heartbreak. So she started distancing herself from him.

All this while, Amar grew anxious as to why was she not talking with him. He understood her true value now-a-days, when she was not around. He was missing her like hell and wanted so badly to talk to her. He just wanted to look in those beautiful eyes of hers. It didn't took him long to understand his feelings for her. But now that he understood them, he was scared. Scared of confession.

After a week, Shakti was returning from the shoot to her home, when her car broke down. She called up Sneha for help.

"Hey Sneha. Where are you?" Shakti asked.

"At my home!"

"What. Like already?"

Sneha giggled. "Yeah! Why do you need anything?" she asked.

"Oh yeah. My car broke down and now I don't know what to do!" grumbled Shakti.

"Wait up. I'll see if there's any help available and call you up" Sneha replied.

Shakti agreed and hung up. She sat in the car and looked around. The place was pretty deserted and she felt nervous. She quickly pushed the lock and locked the car. On the other hand, Sneha called up the sets to find out who all were still there. Only Amar and Bharat were there. She quickly told Amar about Shakti's whereabouts and asked him to go and help her.

At first Amar was scared as he thought he wouldn't be able to face Shakti but then thinking about her condition made him agree in a jiffy. He packed up and quickly drove to where Shakti was. As soon as he came across her car, he pulled off the engine and went towards her car. He knocked her window, bringing her out of her daydreams.

Shakti was scared to hear the knock but calmed down on realizing it was just Amar. She cursed Sneha inwardly for telling him but also thanked her for helping her. She quickly opened the door and went with him.

They both had comfortable silence between them throughout the drive. None of them said anything. They would sneak glances of each other and curse everyone thinking that the other did not reciprocate their feelings. Hardly did they know that both were deeply in love with the other.

Amar dropped Shakti off and trying not to appear different hugged her goodbye before leaving. Shakti sighed once he was out of her vision.

"I missed this!" she said, wrapping her arms around herself, hugging her arms.

Next day on the sets, Amar was ready to face Shakti and tell her everything.

"Joh hoga dekha jaayega. Bolkar toh dekh. Kya pata who bhi.." he was struggling with his own thoughts, when he felt two arms wrap around his waist. Thinking it is Shakti he put his hands on hers and squeezed them.
