Part 3 Continues...
Outside the MO's room...
Somehow Maan and Chandu have found out each other...
MAAN: (shouts) Chandu! where the hell have you been?
Chandu: (stammers) sir...woh...third witness...
Maan thinks that Chandu is asking about the third witness Adi...
MAAN: (st) Adi didn't come yet. I didn't arrange for an alternative 3rd witness too. Now what to do...
Maan tries to change the topic...
MAAN: Chandu! how many times, I tried calling your mobile. why did you switch off it?
Chandu: sir! The marriage officer is having my mobile
MAAN: why did you give it to him?
Chandu: I didn't give sir. He himself snatched my mobile from my hand
MAAN: (annoyed) What is he doing with your mobile?
Chandu: I donno sir
(haha...Chandu bhaiya! we all know what is he doing. he is playing games on your poor mobile...lol...)
Chandu: sir! Shall we go to the MO's room. it is getting late for the marriage
MAAN: Adi will come...
Chandu: sir...i have arranged for the 3rd witness
Maan is surprised
MAAN: what?
Chandu: haan sir...
MAAN: (relieved) teek hai chalo. It is getting late
Both Maan and Chandu are walking toward the Marriage Officer's room.
When they are few feet away from the MO's room, Maan's mobile rings. Maan checks the caller name. it is from Adi. Maan is super duper angry. He feels like killing Adi through the phone itself.
MAAN: Chandu
Chandu: ji sir
MAAN: tum andar jao. Main abhi aatha hu
Chandu: sir...it is getting late...
MAAN: (shouts) I know that it is getting late. I will come in 2 minutes. Now go inside
Chandu is scared. So he turns around and walks toward the MO's room...
Inside the MO's room
GEET: Mera kam hogaya. may I leave now?
MO is shocked
MO : what about the bridegroom's signature?
GEET: (sarcastically) he will come and sign the papers later. do you want me to sign for him too or what?
MO: yesa nahi hai. but...Don't you want to meet him?
GEET: why should i?
Peon, Lachi and Preeto are silenly watching the happenings
MO is hell confused
MO: (st) in my 30 years of service, I have never seen a bride like this.
MO tries to explain to Geet about the marriage procedures...
MO: dekhiye...
By the time, Chandu enters the room. Peon runs to him
Peon: (to Chandu)acha hua yaar! Tum aa gaya. Have you found out your boss?
Chandu: hmmm
Peon: where is he?
Chandu: he is talking on phone outside
Peon: bring him in immediately
Chandu: he will yell at me
Peon; yaar! Here the MO is having a hard time with that Geet. What if he rejects your marriage application because of her torture..
Chandu: teek hai. I will come with Maan sir
Chandu leaves the room
MO: where is he going?
Peon: he is going to bring his boss
MO: (st) oho...this Chandu is Maan Singh Khurana's servant
GEET: may I leave now?
MO: uff... madamji...
Outside the MO's room...
Maan is talking to Adi on phone...
MAAN: Adi! what are you thinking of yourself? why didn't you come yet?
Adi is finding it difficult to talk. He starts to talk in broken voice
Adi: sir...Chandu...marriage...i...taxi...coming..
(after receiving so much of beatings too, our good hearted Adi sir is coming to the court to be a witness to Chandu's marriage)
Maan somehow understands what Adi is trying to say..
MAAN: are you coming to the court by taxi?
Adi: ji sir...aaahh...(Adi moans in Pain)
Maan senses that something is wrong with Adi
MAAN: Adi! tum teek tho ho na?
Adi: no sir
MAAN: what happened to you?
Adi: (stammers) sir...bus...seat...girl...pimp...bag...sardharji...beating...
Maan could not understand what Adi is trying to say
MAAN: Adi! I couldn't get you. say it clearly
Chandu comes to Maan...
Chandu: Maan sir...
Maan is annoyed and yells at Chandu
MAAN: what?
Chandu: (stammers) the marriage officer is calling you
MAAN: tell him to wait
Chandu: par sir...
MAAN: tum ne suna nahi maine kya kaha. Ab jao yahan se
Chandu is scared
Chandu: (st) hey bhagavan! What will happen to my marriage?
Chandu leaves the place with disappointment
MAAN: (on phone) hello Adi...hello...Adi, are you on the line?
Adi: ji sir...
MAAN: kya hua?
Adi: bus...seat...girl...pimp...
Inside the MO's room...
MO: dekhiey! Madam ji...aap yesa nahi ja sakthe
GEET: kyun?
MO: woh...
Chandu comes to the MO's room
Peon: yaar! Where is your boss?
Chandu: he is talking on an urgent call...he is not coming
Geet gets up from the chair
GEET: (to MO) I am leaving
MO: ek minute madam ji. You can't leave until the marrigage certificate is issued
GEET: then issue the certificate immediately
MO: (st) ye kaise Jodi hai? on the one hand, the bride is not ready to wait for the groom and on the other hand the groom is is not even coming to sign his marriage papers. how would these two will run the family together? Bhagavan! Why are you making such special pieces?
GEET: aap kya soch rahe hai MO sir?
MAAN: aap ek minute baitiye...please
Geet sits..
The MO takes a deep breath
MO: (to Chandu) come and sign the papers soon
Chandu: par sir, my boss...
MO: (shouts) sign the papers
Chandu goes and sign the papers silently
MO checks the papers and gives it back to Chandu.
MO: now go and get the signature of your boss in these papers
Chandu: he will kill me. I am scared
MO: take the peon with you
Chandu: then also he will kill me
MO: listen! It is getting late for my lunch
GEET: it is getiing late for me too
MO: madam ji! Aap please shanth hojayiye
Geet smirks at him
MO: (yells at Chandu) now why are you starring at me? go and get the signature
Chandu leaves the place...
MO: (to Peon) now go and get me a cup of tea and some biscuits. I am starving
Peon: ji sir
Peon also leaves the place
Outside the MO's room...
Maan is still talking over phone and trying to find out what happened to Adi...
MAAN: bolo Adi! what happened?
Adi: sir...woh...bus...seat...girl...
Maan couldn't understand what Adi is saying
MAAN: (yells) Adi! now stop blabbering and tell me clearly what happened?
Adi: sir! I have been badly beaten up
MAAN: (shocked) what?
Adi: haan sir
MAAN: but who beat you up?
Adi: sir..woh...
MAAN: aage bolo...
Chandu comes to Maan and stands infront of him silently. Chandu didn't have the courage to ask Maan to sign the papers. so keeps on starring at Maan with a sad face
Maan notices the marriage papers in Chandu's hand. seeing Chandu's sad face Maan feels bad for him.
MAAN: ek minute Adi! be on the line
Adi: ji sir
Maan softens his tone and asks Chandu gently...
MAAN: ye kya hai Chandu?
Chandu senses the softness in Maan's voice
Chandu: sir...MO asked me to get your signature...
Maan takes the marriage papers from Chandu
MAAN: where should I sign?
Chandu is super duper happy. he starts to show the places where Maan should sign...
When Maan is about to put his first signature, Geet's face flashes in his mind. some unknown feeling is disturbing him. he stops for a while...
MAAN: (st) yeh mujhe kya horaha hai? why I am thinking about Chandu's bride?
Maan is pissed off that he is thinking about someone else's bride. He comes out of his trance and starts to sign the papers without reading it. so Maan didn't notice that his name is mentioned as the groom's name. he signs all the papers and hands them over to Chandu
(so buddies! this is how our Maaneet lawfully get married to each other)
Chandu: thank you sir
MAAN: now go inside and finish the other formalities. I will come in few minutes
Chandu: ji sir
Chandu leaves the place.
Maan continues his conversation on phone with Adi
MAAN: haan bolo Adi...kya hua?
Adi: sir! i boarded a local bus to come to the court. In the bus, a girl called me and offered me a seat...
Adi tells maan everything that happened.
MAAN: adi! how many times i have warned you not to tell your designation as PIMP. You are such an idiot. Now see what happened. That girl has misunderstood you for a pimp and all these confusions. What if she had taken you to police station?
Adi: sorry sir..
MAAN: what is the point in saying sorry to me?
Adi: sir...
MAAN: leave it. how long it will take for you to reach the court?
Adi: I have reached sir
MAAN: teek hai. you wait in the taxi itself
Adi: sir...Chandu's marriage?
MAAN: i will take care of it. No need for you to come. You wait in the taxi. I will come there in 2 minutes and take you to the Hospital
Without waiting for Adi's reply, Maan cuts the call and walks toward the MO's room
Adi: sir...what about the witness? I am supposed to be one of the witnesses
No reply from the other end.
Adi: (st) maan sir has cut the call. what will they do for one more witness? I think i must go there. otherwise chandu's marriage will be in trouble.
Adi tries to get down from the taxi to go inside the court...
Inside the MO's room...
Chandu comes and gives the marriage papers to the MO. The MO checks them and makes necessary entries in the Marriage Register...
After few seconds...
Maan walks into the MO's room. MO lifts his head up and sees Maan.
MO: (st) oho...is he that poor Maan Singh Khurana who just now got married to this arrogant Geet Handa? But this guy seems to be very brilliant. Then how come he fell in love with this stupid girl?
MO realises that he is worrying too much about MSK
MO: (st) oye! Now stop thinking about that stupid guy who failed to use his brain while falling in love with that stupid and arroagant girl
Geet is yet to see Maan
MAAN: (to Chandu) Is everything fine?
Chandu: ji sir
Geet turns toward Maan's direction and she is shocked
GEET: (st) hey Babaji! the pimp's boss has come here also in search of me. ab main kya karu? bhag geet...bhag
When Geet is about to get up to run, Chandu introduces Maan to Geet
Chandu: Geet ji! He is my boss
Geet is relieved
MAAN: (st) Geet? why today I am hearing this name again and again?
GEET: (st) oho...is he his boss? Tu bina Geet! you always suspect people for no reason. It is all because of Jugnu mama. Your brain is smitten by his jasoosi brain
Chandu: (to Maan) sir! She is Geet ji
MO is confused
MO: (st) why this Chandu is introducing the bridegroom and the bride to each other?
Maan thinks that Chandu is introducing his newly wed wife to him for the sake of respect. Maan didn't know how to respond. He is blankly staring at Geet
GEET: (st) what is he thinking? Is he thinking about our previous encounter?
Geet tries to break the silence and tries to apologise to him for having misunderstood him for a pimp's boss
GEET: (to Maan) hello! Bhai sahab
Maan's heart breaks for the second time on the same day.
MAAN: (st) phir se Bhai sahab?
This time, the MO's heart also breaks along with that of Maan
MO: (st) why this girl calls her husband 'Bhai Sahab'? it sounds very weird
GEET: (to Maan) bhai sahab! Aap sun rahe hai na?
Maan comes out of the trance
MAAN: haan...woh...
MO couldn't bear to hear Geet calling her husband 'bhai saab'. So he closes his ears with his hands tightly
MO: (st) hey bhagavan! why her husband is not objecting to it? let us first issue the marriage certificate and send them away from here. otherwise these two will drive me crazy in no time
GEET: sorry bhai saab...wo mujse thoda...
MO: ek minute
Geet and Maan are turning toward the Marriage officer
MO: all the formalities are finished. Now you both have become husband and wife legally
Maan thinks that MO is talking to Chandu and Geet. Something is pricking his heart.
Geet and others are thinking that MO is talking to Chandu and Lachi
Chandu and Lachi are very happy. Both are stealing glances and smiling at each other.
Chandu becomes very emotional. He thanks Maan
Chandu: sir! Thank you very much sir... aaj tak kisi ne mereliye itna bada madad nahi kiya...par aap...aap ne mujhe ek nayi zindagi diye hai...bohat bohat shukriya sir. I will never forget this help. I will always be grateful to you for this sir
Chandu is having tears in his eyes...
MO is scratching his head
MO: (st) what is happening here? Why this Chandu thanks the Bridegroom?
Maan is melt by Chandu's touching touching expression of gratitude
Maan pats Chandu's shoulder
MAAN: it is OK...easy..easy...don't be so emotional...it is my duty to help you..
Except MO, all other people including Geet are admiring the beautiful relationship between them
GEET: (st) wow...these two are out of this world. hmmm...this world is still having good people like them
MO couldn't take it anymore...
MO: listen everyone! now let me read the Marriage Certificate
Chandu: ji
MO starts to read the Marriage Certificate and all others listen to him carefully.
MO: Under section 13 of Special Marriage Act. 1954, I, S.M. Chopra, hereby certify that on 8th October, 2011, Maan Singh Khurana(Bridegroom) and Geet Handa(bride) D/o. Mohinder Handa, appeared before me and that each of them in my presence and in the presence of three witnesses who have signed hereunder, made the declaration required by Section-II and a marriage under that act was solemnised between them in my presence
Maan and Geet are shocked to the core and both are standing rooted to the ground.
Maan is starring at Geet. but our super smart Geet is starring at Chandu mistaking him for Maan Singh Khurana. She thinks that she is married to Chandu.
(poor soul! What will she do? she neither knows Chandu's name nor who Maan Singh Khurana is)
Chandu and others are also confused
(buddies, here I have to admit that really I don't know how to explain the reaction of Maaneet to this marriage certificate. I will take a break here and come back after a week..lol..)
MAAN: (yells) now stop calling me bhai sahab
GEET: then what should I call you? Pati Parameshwar?
