Thakka is a ceremony in Sikhs...it is different from Tikka which btw is not a ritual in Sikh marriages. It is commonly called rokka by Punjabi families in general. But in Sikh families it is called thakka.

In a thakka ceremony, a shagun is given to the girl and the boy from their respective in-laws and the match is declared fixed.

Caught up with last three updates just now. You and Shikha both of you manage to easily make me cry or atleast take me to the verge of them. I am generally a very sttong person who sheds mnimal amount of tears. But your interlude to bring me to the verge of tears. Truly it takes only the heart of father . Ilove the Handa's you know. Savitri jee is very smart indeed. But her son is more adorable than her. The way he said that she is generallly an inattentive and insensitive person so openly, I liked that😆. Aha! Haye, the last line about attraction made me feel all mushy...a guy who refused vehemently on getting married is now mystified, nah, attracted by the mere presence of a pretty, young little thing...aah, but its not just that, it is Geet after all.
