Part 24:
Morning:
Maan couldnt open his eyes..as the sunlight was blinding him..his head was aching..he couldnt even move..his body ached..and his head urghhh..it was like someone had
placed a stone on it...he tried getting up but he failed...then he heard a glass being banged on the table next to him...with alot of difficulty he opened his eyes and saw
Geet standing there..he smiled at her but in return he only got a glare...he then looked at the table which had lime juice kept on it...he looked at Geet once again and she said
in anger:'Drink this your head will feel better'
M-Geet...
But before that she left the room...Maan got up and drank the juice..soon Geet came back with a glass of water and medicines..she came and banged them on the table
and said:'For YOUR HANGOVER'
Before he could reply..she had left..he took the medicines and then sighed..he knew he was in big trouble..Geet was pissed off and he was the reason..he didnt remember
what he did..he was angry..then he went to the bar..but had he drunk so much?It looked like it...he banged his head on the wall and said:'You wanted to drink na?..
Now look what that one drink has done...i dont even know if Geet will even listen to me'
He banged his head again and again..but when he was going to bang it again..rather then the wall..his head felt a warm hand there..he opened his eyes to see Geet standing there..and
she was even more pissed off now as she said:'After one mistake you dont go making another..if you get hurt then who will take care of you?'
M-You...
G-Come down for breakfast
M-Geet meri baat toh suno..
G-Breakfast
Then without another word she left...Maan sighed got up..and got ready..he went to the breakfast table and saw Geet chatting with everyone happily but as soon as she saw him
she fell quiet and glared at him...Maan gulped and sat down...After breakfast...
A-Geet beta why dont we go shopping?
G-Yes Aunty I would love to go...
Maan saw his chance here..
M-Haan Aunty even I will come with you guys...
G-I dont want to go shopping today aunty maybe some other time...as I have alot of work today..sorry
A-Okay beta..then I will go...Rahul will you drop me?
R-Sure mom...lets go...Bye Geet i will be back soon
G-Bye Rahul...
Soon they left..now it was only Maan-Geet in the house...Geet was working in the kitchen when Maan entered and said:'Jaan what are you making?'
G-...
M-Jaan?
G-...
M(st)-Acha now she's giving me silent treatment...urghhh..what to do?
Maan moved closer to her and put his hand on her shoulder but she pushed it away...he tried again...she did the same..he tried for the third time and she did the same..
finally Maan got annoyed and said:'Geet whats your problem?Stop acting childish'
Geet turned around furiosuly and glared at Maan...Maan gulped and thought:'Shit Maan...what have you done?Made her more mad'
Geet thought:'The guts he has...after making such a stupid mistake..he says im childish?'
Geet had a knife in her hand and she pointed it at Maan and said:'Acha toh im acting childish?And what you did last night?That was very smart of you haan?You acted
like a grown up?Drinking coz your hurt?
M-Geet...just listen..
G-Maan you listen to me...Im dont want to hear anything..stop bugging me understand?
M-Geet Im sorry...I was angry and the whole staying away from you...
Tears formed in Geet's eyes:'Maan even im staying away from you..its hard on me too..its not as easy as it looks but its okay you dont care about anything or anyone...
do whatever you like'
Geet turned around and wiped the tears...Maan felt really bad he didnt know what to do..so he left..Geet turned around to see Maan leaving she felt really bad...
Evening:
Rahul was talking to Geet but Geet was not listening to a word...all she was looking at was the time..it was 6'o clock and Maan hadnt returned..where was he?His phone
was switched off...and he hadnt returned since morning...She was getting really worried now...Soon 6 turned into a 9...and everyone was off to bed except Geet..
Geet was sitting in the hall waiting for Maan...she hadnt had any food since morning..she was dead worried for Maan...she tried avoiding any bad thoughts coming in her
mind..but she couldnt help them she just prayed to babji that he was fine...finally at 10..she heard the door open and she rushed to it to find Maan entering the house...
she went and stood infront of him and slapped him...Maan stood there shocked...Geet screamed:'Where were you?'
M-...
Geet took hold of his collar and said:'How dare you leave me like this haan?Do you even know how worried I was?I was dead scared..you left since morning and havent even
called me once?
You could have informed me?But no you're the great MSK right?You dont give a damn who's waiting for you or worried about you do you?You're a complete jerk...'
Tears made there way yet again...Maan cursed himself for making Geet sad again...
Maan wiped the tears as Geet slumped in his arms while sobbing...Maan wrapped her in his arms and comforted her while Geet poured her heart out:'Maan do you know
how difficult it is to stay away from you?Its like im dying..I really love you Maan..but all you do is break promises or hurt me...why do you always leave like that?'
M-Geet if you forgot i have an office to handle...I went to the office today after a whole 3 weeks do you know how much work was pending and my phone's battery
died...and you know how I get immersed in work..thats why i didnt get time...Im sorry Geet
G-You're work is more important than me?
M-You're anger is more important than me?
Geet hit him hard on the chest and said:'If it was I wouldnt be in your arms right now'
M-Ouch Geet that hurt and that exactly is my point if it was you wouldnt be in my arms right now...coz if I didnt care about you i wouldnt have come home this early..
G-You call this early?Its 10 Maan...
M-Geet we used to come back at 12 before...I came early because of you...
G-Whatever..im warning you dare you go anywhere without informing like this understand?
M-Okay madam...
G-Did you have your food?
M-Yes Geet I did...
G-Stop lying...I'll go and heat the food so that we can eat...
Geet tried to pull away but Maan tightened his grip and said:'Whats the hurry Geet?'
G-Maan what are you doing?Let me go na...
M-Hmm..dont feel like...after that bad morning I really want to have a good night...
G-Maan aap bhi na..leave me..Let me go heat the food...Maan someone will come..
M-I dont care...
G-Maan Im angry at you...
M-Acha?
G-Haan...
She turned her face the other side while Maan pecked her cheek..Geet blushed...and Maan asked:'Still angry?'
G-(Maintaining her mock anger)Yes I still am angry you left without telling me...
M-Geet you were the one who told me to leave you alone so I obliged...
G-You're saying as if you listen to everything I say...
M-Ofcourse I do...
G-Yeah right...thats why did you came home drunk haan?
Maan looked at Geet and smiled guiltly and said:'Woh I was angry and Geet pakka I will never do it again sorry'
G-Pakka?
M-Promise...
G-Hmmm...Okay go freshen up..we'll eat together okay?
M-Okay...
Geet went and started heating the food...after it was heated she layed down the table for the 2 of them...Maan came and sat down...Geet started serving him after that
she was about to serve herself when Maan stopped her by saying:'Geet wait...we'll have dinner in the same plate..'
G-But...
M-No buts...and he held a morsel infront of her...Geet smiled and ate it...like this they fed each other...Soon they were all done and Maaneet headed to Maan's room...
Geet said Goodnight to Maan and was leaving when Maan held her by her hand and pulled her back..Geet turned around and pouted:'Maan can you ever stop all this?'
M-Let me think...mmm...NO NEVER!!
G-Maan aap bhi na...
M-Haan mein bhi na?
G-Kuch nahi let me go..its already 12...
M-Geet rukh jao na...
G-Maan...
M-Please...
G-Maan Im sorry..
M-Acha theek hai magar ek goodnight kiss toh dedo...
G-ACHA?
Maan nodded innocently...Geet glared and said:'Maan stop all of these childish acts...you're going to have kids but you still act like a kid'
M-Arey Geet when I will...he stopped in mid-sentence...
M-What did you say?
Geet blushed..and stammered:'Maan..woh..mein..I didnt'
Maan pulled her towards him...and locked his arms at her waist and said in a husky tone:'Acha toh Mrs.Khurana wants kids now?'
G-I didnt say that
M-You said when we will have kids..meaning you want kids...hmmm you know im ready to have one now
Geet hit him on his chest and said:'Chii..aaap na..bilkul besharam'
M-Geet im serious if you want kids you have to stay with me here..in this room...
G-Maaan...
Maan silenced her with his lips and they both drowned in the kiss...
