I crashed my self on the floor. The hard concrete below the soft carpet breaking me with great speed. Shaking each bone in my body. I hard maans voice & felt his hand scooping me in his embrace. Hiding my nude body within him self. I looked at him once trying to cover what I possibly can but he helped! Taking the spread from the bed. He picked me up & made me relax. It must be to much water along with headache I claimed.
He took fresh pair of towel & dried my hair, his wet shirt started to give me shiver. He understood & quickly taking it off. I was too drowsy to concentrate any further. I clasped in his embrace...
Maan could not concentrate as a panic covered his body... He could feel her bare back started to warm up in high fever... In dismay this did not help.
Maan "geet! Geet" he pats her cheek to gain attention but in vain this also failed. He instantly spines round, one hand holding geet while the other calling the reception for a emergency doctor.
Maan "geet! Geet?" he pats her cheek again.
In matter of few minute a dr walks in... helping geet...
after few hours...
Maan slowly moves way. He had to bring her in his room, her bed was soaking wet in water from him & her. He him self was not feeling well, the wet pants started send chile down him.
He changed in to his night-suit & sat next to geet. Her fever went down. He took a sigh breath, even though his worry was still the same. Whole night long geets question was buzzing him. He pressurized to know the truth yet it still sounds like riddle. He knows so much yet he knew nothing! How did rano came to that place? Lying in front of his door step! It somewhere was making sense! But what does she mean by same old past haunting? He could clearly see that she always tries her best to hide! Hide every detail, yet still one question could shatter her apart. She have never gave a hint of how dreadful her past may have been, she always tried her best to keep her self happy... he have the thoughts a rest & Slowly maans tiring eyes gave up. Sleeping peacefully with geet in his embrace...
My eyes were glued together. Refuging to see the day light but I forced. Forcing to open the tiring eyes... The day was bright but the curtain was hiding the sunlight, I could see the stream of light that escaped between the curtain. It glittered, it was so beautiful... I tried to wake up but something blocked me. I tried again, then realized maans firm grip over my bare body. My heart skipped several beats. I am naked! I am sleeping next to a man! Have we done something last night? Far as I was concern we have not. I tried to sit up again, removing his hand. He was sleeping like a baby... Looking cute. I looked round for cloths, then realized it wasn't my room. I took maans kurti from the side & propped it on. I had no bra no panties. I still felt naked... I tried to get up but found his grip holding me tight!
Maan "where are you going?" his voice did not fail to send down Chile round my body, "I need to go!" I simply answer. His hand slowly snaked round my waist & brought me back under the spread, the thought I am bare disappeared... He stroked my cheek... Feeling my temperature I gathered.
I am not sure what have I questioned him last night, everything came out in anger, in fear. What's my mom doing with him? How do maan know my mother? How she exactly came to India? When I Have asked her clearly to come with me! When she came to India? Why she did not call? She knew my number! She knew my adress! Shila used to pay visit! Why she did not mentioned anything to her!"
Maan "your temperature is fine now!" he broke my concentration. I did not say much, just kept quit. "I will bring your cloths!" I stopped him! I was not sure how exactly to say but now a girl really do need her privacy.
Geet "I will do it!"
Maan "no! You need to relax!" in worry geet started to twist the corner of the spread. Maan realised something was wrong.
Maan "what's wrong?"
Geet "I need to go!" he looks at her in confusion...
Maan "I know we have to go! But what's wrong with me going & collect the cloths?"
Geet "why don't you understand!" she made a baby face! She really did surprised him! In one moment she will be all serious and the next she acts like a child.
Maan "what is it!"
Geet "uff! I need a tampax!" geet closed her mouth instantly. Thinking just great! She indeed very stupid. She quickly stood up and ran out. Maan just stood there bit embarrassed then smiling.
-Late morning-
None have brought up the conversation about geets mother... Geet staid in her room. Not feeling well at all... When a knock came by. She opens it slowly expecting it to be maan! But her eyes did do a surprise, it's her mother! & there maan stood at the background! "m...mom!" rano could not hold her tear any more as she broke down in geets embrace... "mom!"
Rano "I am sorry! I am sorry that I did not wait for you in hospital!"
Geet "mom! Calm down!" geets expression have failed to show up... She was more engrossed to hear the reason why her mum disappeared! Now that she is back to her, a safe barrier have been created! She surly will not let her go!... No matter what she will have to face & she have nothing to fear.
Maan quickly brings a glass of water for rano to drink, both maan and geet was egar to know the other half side of the story!
Geet "mom! You should relax!" rano did look very tired... Maan agrees with geet.
Both walks out leaving rano to rest.
Geet "how do you know my mum?" she instantly asked him...
Maan "I found her outside of my door! England!"
Geet "when?"
Maan "she was unconscious!"
Geet "how?"
Maan "I don't know! & since then I have been looking after her!" geets blood boiled in anger. She wanted find that b**** Handa and kill him. Her mother could have been dead today... If it wasn't for maan!
Maan observed her in great concentration, trying to read her face. "who is mr rayen to your mom?" geets angry face suddenly disappeared & transferred in to shock.
Geet "why have you brought my mother?" she asked softly! A sense of worry kicked in...
Maan "she wasn't feeling well!"
Geet "why?"
Maan "I really don't know!" she did not wait any longer, geet rushed in her room... Took a sigh relive seeing her peacefully.
Geet "why do you want to know about mr rayen?"
Maan "I was just wondering! Your mum & him seems good friend." geet did not like the sound of that either! Nun of the man is good enough for her! nun! Geet closed her eyes, wiped her tears off.. And spine round with a smile. "thank you!"
Maan looked on either direction, was he hearing right? Geet actually saying thank you to him!
Maan "sorry?" geet makes a confusing face. Didn't she just say thank you for looking after her mother!
Geet "I just said thank you!"
Maan "what for?"
Geet "for looking after my mother!"
Maan "I am still confused!" there was a serious tone in his voice! He was still confused with all the question she have asked him yesterday! Nothing was making any sense but she seems to be lighten up, he did not want to ruin her moment by bringing up her past! Maybe some other time! When they are in relax mind! So much going through her now, he may not understand but he have no right to ruin this moment...
He suddenly bursts out in laugh.. Mocking geets word. Taking it in complete different way...
Geet "why are you laughing?"
Maan "she is my mother why can't I help her?"
Geet "she is not your mother! She is my mother!"
Maan "& how do you know?"
Geet "because she is" geet beam rather over protective in maans little joke... He smirks... Sliding his hand round her waist... In a jeark brought her close..
"she is my mother in law! If that makes you feel better!" he smirks...
