Read part 10 n 11...was awesome n amazing...😊 Maan n Geet...love is in the air. Waiting for confession.

Sorry guys for such a late update. It is my Son's birthday next week and so was busy with preparations. I have not got a chance to edit this part so please ignore any mistakes. To make up it is a super long one.

Also, I will try to give one more update this week. Hopefully I will be on track from next one.

Ch12 – Return of the Angel

Two days later

Maan walked in an almost dazed state to the hospital office. He felt his heart constricting at the thought of Geet leaving today. He shook his head to remove the sense of brooding which has engulfed him. He put it down to the nervousness at the thought of facing bade pa and badi maa. Maan tried to cheer himself up

"She is going back to Delhi. She is going home. If nothing else be happy because she is happy"

Maan smiled at his own thought. He was going mad.

Maan completed the discharge formalities for Geet. Being a senior doctor, it was quite easy for him. Meanwhile, Rishab took care of her packing. Geet could see the multitude of emotions flickering on bauji's face. She could feel the nervousness, guilt and happiness…every emotion touching her. She sighed and got up engulfing herself in Rishab's embrace. It was like they were a support structure to each other.

Geet, Maan and Rishab were sitting in the plane. Geet twirled her scarf in tension. Plane was about to land. Maan smiled and gently squeezed her hand. She looked at Maan and was lost in his brown eyes.

"His chocolate eyes have same effect as a real chocolate…..i don't know why I feel so much at peace."

She smiled at her own thoughts.

"Awww he is such a darling…..he took care of everything from discharge to travel tickets".

Geet smiled thinking of their cute fight today morning

"Geet…tumhe saari medicines yaad hai na…and please no heavy stuff for some time…aur only 6 hrs office in the beginning…if you feel dizzy or…"

"Chup…bilkul chup…ab aapne agar ek baar bhi yeh sab repeat kiya na to main aapki koi baat nahin manungi"

"Dad, aap hi samjhaiye apni laadli ko…isse sab kuch mazak lagta hai"

"Bauji…apka beta paagal hai…oye…mujhe short term memory loss hai kya jo ek hi baat ko repeat kiye jaa rahe ho…kal raat se dmag khali kar diya hai mera…"

"Dimag hoga to khali karoonga…tum apna kitna khayal rakhti ho mujhe pata hai..bilkul pampered bigdi sehzadi ho tum…"

"Hawww….sadu akdu kahin ke"

"Bas….tum dono chup karo…tum dodno ki bakwas sun kar mera sar dard ho raha hai….Geet not a word anymore…aur Maan…tumhein jo kuch batana hai Raj ko Delhi pahunch ke bata dena…who khud hi khayal rakh lega…samjhe tum donon…"

Geet stuck her tongue out

"Bigdi sehzadi nahin…..bigdi bachi ho tum"

"Sadu akdu ho tum"

"Please fasten your seat belt as we are about to reach Delhi airport". Announcement brought back Geet to reality and she felt butterflies due to tension and anxiety.

"Please Bababji, mom dad mujhe maaf kar de aur kisike koi shock wock mat lagana….".

Ride home was very quiet and tension was pulsating in the air.

Rishab had decided not to tell Raj about his visit on the phone. He was worried about his reaction and it was better to be face to face. He entered first inside the house. Rajs, Nisha, Juhi were having tea on the sofa. Rahul was having his breakfast and Pari was serving him on the dining table. Annie was helping Ramu kaka in getting breakfast ready.

Raj noticed Rishab and was shocked.

"Rishab tu….oh my god…tune phone kyon nahin kiya….."

Raj quickly hugged Rishab.

" tu bhi na…acha surprise hai lekin…teri tabiyat kaisi ha"

"Sabar baba…sab kuch ek hi saans mein puch lega kya…"

"Aapne mujhe bhi nahin bataya….yeh kya baat hui…aap kaise ho? asked Juhi"

By now everybody was surrounding Rishab. Rahul touched his feet and Rishab gently put his hand on his head…"jeete raho puttar ji."

He lovingly patted Pari's head as well. "Jeeti raho bahu raani…..sada khush raho"

"Aap thik to hain na bauji…akele aaye hain…Maan nahin aaya saath mein?"

"Main thik hoon….aur tum sab ke liye ek bahut acha gift laya hoon…."

Everybody looked at Rishab expectantly. Rishab, quietly pointed to the door waiting for the explosion

Everybody followed his hand and were shocked.

Maan and Geet stood at the door. Maan was holding Geet lightly on the shoulder as if supporting her. Geet had a small smile and tears were flowing freely from her eyes after seeing her family after such a long time. She ran and hugged Raj as if her life depended on the same.

Raj didn't know what had hit him. Only sound in the noise was Geet's heart wrenching sobs. By now, Nisha had broken down as well and tears were glistening in the eyes of men surrounding their darling. Raj started slowly patting his daughter's head lovingly and spoke after some minutes which felt like eternity

"Geet…."

Nisha and Rahul also took them in group hug. Nisha was sobbing really badly

"Tu thik hai na laado. Aisa koi karta hai kya….aise kaise chali gay tu"

"Who sab chodo mumma…tu thik hai na guddan"

Maan cleared his throat. "I think we should all sit and talk. Waise bhi it is not good for her to stand for so long."

"What do you mean? Teri tabiyat thik nahin hai kya? How did you meet Rishab and Maan"

Rishab gently tapped Raj's shoulder.

"Maan thik keh raha hai. Main sab batata hoon..pehle hum sab baith jaate hain. I am also very tired. Annie beta, zara paani pila puttar"

Nervosuness could be felt in entire room. Raj was twiddling his thumb, Nisha was crying on Juhi's shoulder, Pari held Rahul's hand, Annie stood at Maan's shoulder while Geet sat on the floor near her Dad's feet. Everybody's eyes were at Rishab.

Rishab sighed "I am sorry Raj. Maine aaj tak tujhse kabhi jhooth nahain bola…ho sake to mujhe maaf kar dena. Darasal Geet yahan se jaane ke baad seedhe mere paas aayi thi Mumbai mein."

Raj started to speak but Rishab lifted his hand

"Main nahin jaanta maine jo kiay sahi ya galat hai. Par maine jo bhi faisla liya apni bitiya ki khushi ko nazar mein rakkh ke kiya. Geet ki tabiyat thik nahin thi aur uska sabse bada sapna apne bhai ki shaadi tha. Main apni bachi ke sapne ko kaise tootne deta?" Saying this Rishab broke down.

Maan's heart was gutted seeing tears in the eyes of his loved ones. He felt such pain as if thousand needles were piercing his heart. With herculean determination, he became a doctor again "Geet has Nemocytis" Everybody was shocked.

Before anyone could say anything Maan continued "She has already been operated upon and as you can see surgery is successful."

Raj, Nisha, Rahul were devastated. Rahul shouted "yeh sach nahin hai…it is all a lie. She just simply has a boyfriend."

He got up and held Maan's collar "How dare you say such things for my sis. She is fine…samjha tu..kuch nahin hua hai meri gudiya ko.

Pari was sobbing and trying to control Rahul but to no avail. Rahul did not want to believe that his guddan can be sick like that. His mind completely shut down to the possibility of Geet hurting. He was so numb that he could not even think of the pain which Geet has gone through in past few months and that too alone.

Geet held Rahul's hands and brought them down. She spoke for the first time "who sach keh raha hai…there was nobody but I could not live or die peacefully till you had your love in your life. My only regret is that I was not present physically. It was my dream to see you marry before my surgery. I am sorry for being selfish but believe me I was there in spirit. All my thoughts were with you and I have no regret. In the end it was all worth it"

Rahul just hugged Geet and cried. By now everybody especially Raj and Nisha were devastated. They sat and cried like babies and were so lost. Rishab and Maan were quite emotional themselves but trying to console others. Nothing seemed to work so finally Maan decided to play emotional blackmail card

"Aap sab kya kar rahe ho…Geet abhi bhi puri tarah se thik nahain hai. Is tarah to iska BP low ho sakta hai. She also needs rest but how can she if you all behave like this. Maine aapse kaha tha na papa ki it is too soon…ab dekh lo aap….kisi ko patient ki fikar hai ya nahin"

Raj understood what Maan was trying to do. He pulled himself together and started consoling Nisha. They took Geet to her room and asked her to lie down. Maan started explaining all the medicines and tests required. He also explained all the dietary restrictions

Everybody was shattered and spent by the emotional drain since morning. The mere thought of what Geet had gone thru brought shivers. But somewhere thought of getting her back safe and sound was the silver lining. Entire family huddled together after Geet slept. Today once again, they were all together in pain, hope and love.
