Now Next...

Chapter ten....

Pinki was clueless and was gaping at him as if what-are-you-up-to looks. The moment the red velvety entity came into every ones vision including Pinki and Geet it was the loudest gasp ever heard. Maan was enjoying the moment with his crossed hand and with proud smile. Geet did not miss it, when he felt her gaze on him he turned to look at his lady love with the look on her face questioning "Did you know this?" He blinked in approval and Geet smiled with acceptance. They both turn to the couple who held the stage to continue their performance. The look on Pinki's face was as if she forgot how to breathe, you could tell Adi was shaking with his own excitement. He slowly opened the red entity and there the visions of a very dainty sparkling unique Engagement ring. It was indeed a unique piece of jewellery. It had small size of diamond in the center with added pink coloured stone around just like her name Pinki. After all engagement rings should represent more than a band, it should symbolize girl's dreams, hopes and love for an everlasting life together. Adi had picked the perfect ring to take the first step towards popping the big question. He made the special day into more memorable day ever for Pinki and for others to remember for long time. With that he seized Pinki's right palm and begins to speak, "You make me happier than I ever thought I could be and if you let me I will spend the rest of my life trying to make you feel the same." Pink's softness showed in her dark eyes and started to brim. Adi continued and squeezed her palm a bit, "Pinki, would you do the honour to be your Man as you're my Best Friend, as all love that has not friendship for its base, is like a mansion built upon the sand. I would be foolish to let my best friend slip out of my hand and let it see to be someone else. I would rather make it mine forever before it's too late. I love you Pinki with all my heart, and I cannot see a single moment of my life without you, would you be mine?" Awe...it was pin drop silence, as if the time forgot to tick its seconds, the air forgot to flow. All expectant gaze gawked at Pinki, who had tears flowing down the cheeks by now, Adi tried to wipe the tears away and that's when Pinki reached to get hold of his hand and brought it to her heart, she tried hard to speak her first word, "I would be a biggest dupe on earth if I would not say yes...YES...my answer is Yes, Yes I accept you as my Man, the only Man in my life my best friend. I'm the luckiest girl on earth today." As she accepted his proposal and extended her left hand forward, Adi did not wait any longer and slide the band on her ring finger. She stared at the glittery stone and as if paused for few seconds in her own thought and a mischief played in her eyes, she utters the words that were playing the trick in her eyes. "Oh Adi by the way how did you managed to say so much at once without any break, kahin accident hojata to?" With that, everyone burst into laughter. Adi Grabbed Pinki and said "It's all because of you my sunshine Happy Birthday darling and congratulations on your engagement and he hugged her as if he will never let her go.

Geet thought it was the most amazing proposal she ever saw. It jogged her then all this time she was holding Maan's hand not sure when that happened as if sensing what she was doing she let go off her hold instantly. Instant jerk got Maan realized that Geet finally realized her hold on him it was when Adi said amazing words expressing his love, Maan had rested his hands on the table and momentary her hands gripped his palm he had glance up quickly at her but she seemed to be engrossed in Adi and Pinki's romantic proposal and he did not buzzed to let her know what she was doing, of course he wanted it and she gave it to him without asking. And now when he turned to look up Geet, she was all flustered; she managed to get up and went to her best buddies to congratulate them. She hugged both and acknowledged that it was the most romantic proposal ever and how happy she is that no words would express. Maan was next to her, he shook the Gentleman's hand and gave him a hug with a tap on the shoulder and congratulated Adi. He then turned to Pinki and hugged her and kissed her on her forehead. He then gave her the B'Day gift; it was a white gold chain pendant with Pinki's name engraved on it. Pinki's dark eyes sparkled yet again with another gorgeous piece of Jewellery. She hugged her Maan bhai with full joy and thanked him full heartedly. Geet was not behind either; she picked the rectangular box out of her purse and gave it to the B'Day girl. Pinki looked up at her with the pleading looks and said, "Geet iski kiya zarurat thi? You already do so much for me. I appreciate so much for just bringing me here or else I would have missed this opportunity today." Her eyes filled again with gratitude and love for her friend. Geet quickly hushed her and asked her to open her gift. Pinki did the same, the moment she unwrapped the box, it was the third addition to her collection of jewels. It was a bracelet, the trio jewels matched well with each other. It turned out to be the most memorable day for Pinki ever. After some more hugs, kisses, wishes and gifts the cake was cut and everyone faded away to enjoy the party. All four of them then sat on their table and talking away the event. Adi was non-stop thanking Maan as it was not possible without his help. Pinki then found out the reason behind Adi not calling her for all day and Geet only knew about the party and she didn't mind it after all, how could she.

This one is a short update, for Sunday late evening...better then nothing...

I wanted to dedicate to a dear one, who has lost someone closer. Hope my attempts were worth, please hang in there as it will heal in time. Don't be sorry for what you have missed, but be thankful for the time, the moments you shared with the one...who will always remain close to your heart....

Yes I tried to do a short one for someone to make her evening pleasant as she is upset...but I guess I was not able to cheer her up...may be later...

I'm glad we think like wise...well tell u one thing...i always tend to do the opposite when I get too much opposition...its my habit or something that comes to me naturally...and then most of the time....i get the acknowledgment that I was fun....even my dressing sense raise so many brows...but i take it as challenge and I get the double takes...which...is fun.
