Hi guys sorry for the late update.

Before the update I want to thanks all of you guys who read my ff (silent readers as well) and for your comments. It's all the good comments you guys have given me that i have reached 25 chapters for this FF. I never thought i will get this far.

Chapter 25 Ego vs. Love: Which will win Part 1

Nups walked downstairs towards her roka ceremony party. She looked around searching for Mayank, she knew this time she had gone far and if he did come here she didn't know what her parents will do. They were very angry with her for breaking yet another relationship. She walked down and was greeted by her cousins and massi. They took her to where the guy and his family were seated. She looked at him thinking what was she doing was this right, of course not, it was not right, he gave her a smile.

Guy: "Hi"

Nups: "Hi". She said quietly and sat down beside for the rituals.

Guy: "Wouldn't you like to know your would be husbands name?" he said in a teasing tone trying to start a conversation. Nups looked at him confused.

Mayank: "Mayank". Mayank said answering the guys question. Nups looked at him shocked he did come. She immediately stood.

Nups: "What the hell you doing here?" She said in a whisper but with glennched teeth.

Mayank: "Exactly what you asked for Sweetheart". Mayank whispered moving closer to her. Just then the guy and Nups parents came up to them.

Nups Mom: "Mayank tum yahan kaise". She was trying to keep her voice normal. However the sight of mayank made her stumble over her words.

Mayank: "Hello Aunty woh actually I wanted to talk to you and Uncle about something"

Nups: "Mom I invited Mayank here as a friend with Diya for the wedding". Mayank looked at her, she gave him a look that said "keep your mouth shut or else".

Nups Mom: "Oh acha where is diya?".

Nups: "she is probably somewhere here mom"

Nups mom: "okay I will find her, and Rahul please beta sit down, you too Nupur rasam shurun hone wali hai". Nups mom made both nupur and Rahul sit.

Nups: "Hmm excuse me, I will be back". She went to look for Mayank hoping that he is not anywhere near her parents or it will create huge drama. She was walking, when a hand pulled her.

Mayank: "Looking for me sweet heart". Mayank said letting go of her hand, they were both in a room that was farther aways from the roka ceremony party.

Nups: "What the hell do you want Mayank?" Nups said in a frustrated voice.

Mayank: "You my sweetheart". He said in a mischevious tone moving towards her but nups put her hand up.

Nups: "STOP, Seriously Mayank enough is enough meri life koi Mazak nahi hai ki tum jab chaho isme aajao or jab chaho chale jao".

Mayank: "I promise Nupur main isbaar kahin nahi jaunga, just give a chance, yeh shaadi tod do".

Nups: "Ha Mayank yah bahar meri roka ceremony chal rahi hai and you are saying that I break this wedding off, no Mayank never, Do you even realize how my action would affect my parents? And why should break this wedding for you who though I was cheating on him and didn't even give me a chance to explain. What garranty is there mayank that if I marry you wouldn't doubt me. In fact if you saw me even talking to guy you would leave me for another two years". Nups said in rude tone, she was taking all of her frustrations out on him.

Mayank: "How would you know Nupur, you are not even giving me the chance. How would you find out if you marry that duffus". Mayank said pointing towards Rahul.

Nups: "exactly Mayank why would I take the risk, I have already spent two years in pain, why would I want to live the same pain".

Mayank: "Damn it Nupur, what do you think marrying him wouldn't give you any pain, it will in fact it wil give you pain every minute". Mayank said pulling nupur by the shoulder in an aggressive manner, pulling her in a room closing the door. He cornered her to the wall closing the distance between them.

Nups: "No Mayank it won't give me any pain because it will not be you". She snapped at him while struggling out of his grip, but mayank had no intentions of letting her go.

Mayank: "That is the reason you will get hurt Nupur because it wouldn't be me. No matter how much you deny your love for me, But the truth that in your heart (pointing his finger at her heart, slightly touchin it) It's me and only me, you can spend your whole life with someone else but you will never ber able to love him because you love and you will love till every second of your life, Understand". Mayank said in strong wishpering voice, he slowly moved forward to her lips, nups looked into his eyes. He slowly blew a lawyer of her hair from her eyes and kissed her forhead.

Mayank: "You will not get married to Rahul, we are mean for each other Nupur". He whispered in her ears while a tear rolled down Nupur's eyes.

Nups: "Do you really believe that Mayank after all that has happened". Mayank looked at Nups face his eyes only expressing love, he wiped her tear from his thumb, and held her face in his hands slightly caressing her cheeks.

Mayank: "After all that has happened is what made me believe that we are meant for each other, Nupur socho if we weren't meant for each other would we have married two years ago, we couldn't because somewhere we both knew that we will meet, or atleast had the hope that everything will be fine between us. I tried to deny your love many time, because of the misunderstanding I had, I mistreated you, said crap to you, just to stay away from you and the pain I had beared in the past two years. But I still loved you every second of my life and I will love you Nupur. I can't deny the fact that every moment I have spent away from you made me love you more, and if weren't meant for each other would you have tried to win me back Nupur, it's our love that brought you back and now me. Now tell me are we meant for each other?" Nups looked into his eyes, she was lost in his love every word he had said was true.

Nups: "y…e…s….We.. are" She whishpered but before mayank was able to hear the last part Nups mom voice interrupted them.

Nup's mom: "Nupur beta are you in there, come on Nupur the ceremony is about to start". Nups pushed mayank away as reality struck her she couldn't hurt her parents and fell for mayank she couldn't trust him again, she was confused she couldn't think straight right now.

Nups: "Ayyi mom". She yelled back to her mom, walking towards the door, but before she could open it mayank got a hold of her hand, she turned to look at him.

Mayank: "Please Nupur don't do this". His looked deeply hurt, she could see tears forming in his eyes.

Nups: "There is no reason for me not to Mayank, you have said what you wanted to say, but my decision will be the same" Nups said getting her hand out of mayank's grip. Mayank looked hurt, but he handled himself.

Mayank: "Okay then, I will do what I came here for, I love you, enjoy your roka". Mayank said slightly kissing nups cheek and leaving the room, Nups was stunned, and she didn't underestimate Mayank. She followed mayank out into where her friends and family were enjoying her roka ceremony.

As the ceremony was taking place Nupur was distracted looking at Mayank throughout the whole ceremony. She was afraid that he might do something but he didn't. The roka ceremony was over, Nupur was in her room changing for her night clothes, when her mom entered.

Nups mom: "Nupur beta".

Nups: "Oh Mom aap yahan?".

Nups mom: "Tu kapre kyun badle rahi hai".

Nups: "Toh kya is suit mein so jao".

Nups mom: "Tu abhi nahi so rahi, okay main tere aur Rahul ke liye ek date arrange Kari hai".Nups stared at her mother shocked.

Nups: "WHAT?"Just then Nups massi entered.

Nups Massi: "Haan, hum logo ne socha that Rahul and you should get to know each other a little bit".

Nups: "You guys are weird, ek dusre ko engagement se ek din phele jaana shuru karte hain".

Nups mom: "Atleast, tumhe ek din phele jaane ko tu mil raha hai tere papa tu mihse shaadi ke 25 saal baad bhi kahin nahi leke gaye, chal tyar ho ja".

Nups: "Mom please I am very tired".

Nups mom: "I don't care Rahul tera intezaar kar raha hai chal jaa tya ho ja". Nups knew she couldn't win from her mother, so she went to her cupboard to take out her suit.

Nups mom: "yeh kya pehen rahi hai".

Nups: "suit".

Nups massi: "Oh fo, tu date pe jaa rahi hai Jagrate pe nahi, wear something elegant, like a dress". Nups massi goes to the cupboard and takes out a sky blue shoulderless dress, kneelength dress.

Nups massi: "yeh pehen".

Nups: "No way Massi".

Nups massi: "Kya no way, your meeting your would be husband, its okay to wear this".

Nups: "Would be husband, (nups said doing air quotation marks) not already ho chuke husband I am no wearing this dress".

Nups momand massi: "Yes you are wearing this dress now quickly get ready in 15 minutes Rahul is waiting downstairs for you". Nups stomped her feet like a 5 years old and went to get ready.

Nups: "you guys are irritating".

Nups mom and massi: "but we love you". Nups gave them a mean look, but then smiled, she loved her family, and they were always there for her.

Hope you guys don't feel that I am stretching the ff, and if you do please tell because i don't to make this FF boring for you guys. Hopefully you guys are liking the intensity going between Mayank and Nupur.

Note: I know many of you guys have been waiting for my update but I have been really busy with college that I barely get time to write any update, this one I had been working on little by little. Many of you want an update for crossed paths, I won't promise anything but I will try to update it by next week.
