It was not that being in the same house they bumped into each other or talked to each other.
As a month went into another NT was frustrated as was Dadi
NT: Dadi, what's the use of her staying here if these two hardly
talk
DM: yes, you are right, the very first day they almost were together for the whole day, but now they seem to be oblivious of each others presence
NT: initially I thought they would at least share the time together in library, but both seem to have lost interest in reading, none has visited the place for two months
DM: yes, tell me are you over working her
NT: no, Dadi, how can I when my sole purpose for her staying was to let her come close to him, I make it sure that she is free whenever he is in the house, but she never seems to be interested
DM: have be misunderstood concern for someone in need as liking
NT: I don't know, but he now dresses himself as he should be, this is a change and he won't listen to anyone but have listened to her
DM: I too am confused, tell me where is she at present
NT: in her room
DM: let's go and see what she is doing
They enter her room; she was engrossed in reading a book and at the same time was making some notes.
NT: hi, hope we are not disturbing you
DM: hello dear, how are you?
G: hello DM hello NT, first things first, you are definitely not disturbing me and I am fine. Come in I was just passing my time
DM: you were doing Vedic mathematics just to pass your time
NT: very complex way just for time passing
G: complex no ways it's very easy, forget it
NT: you have been here for 2 months and we have not taken you anywhere
DM: this weekend we should plan a picnic
G: DM no, look after a month theirs a marriage and you two beautiful ladies should be shopping for it, so know loitering here and there but concentrate on preparations
NT: and you should also join us
G: me, why?
DM: you are here to assist NT so you have to assist her in this also
G: ok your wish is my command
After a few more chatting they leave her saying she should be ready by 5 pm then they will go to shop and also will call Meera
NT called Meera to join them making sure Rajji and Maan accompanied her, she was sure that when the ladies will get into shopping Maan will be bored and so will Geet as has no inclination to it.
In the Mall
To utter frustration of both the ladies Maan and Geet took equal interest in purchasing
He promptly gave his opinion on jewellery, dresses and even the makeup stuff he was being an adoring brother in law and a loyal friend.
She also seemed quite interested in buying stuff, though she was feeling a little nervous with so many people around; still she focused on the shopping and critically analyzed all the stuff the brought.
Both were very particular not to talk to each other but no one noticed the exchange going between them by their eyes,
when ever one of them chose some stuff he/she would ask for approval before forwarding it to others,
they never left each others sight.
In then end everyone got the bags they brought things for Meera, NT, DM, Rajji, Geet, Dev, Vikrant, Papa, Maan etc.,
only Maaneet knew that the stuff they got for themselves was bought only after each others approval.
All will only realize on the days when both will wear the dresses that they have brought matching dresses.
NT and DM gave up all the hope for uniting them, only to NT's pleasure,
one night at about 2 am NT woke up to drink water but found the jug empty, so she headed towards the kitchen,
while returning she heard sounds from upstairs, she first was scared and thought of calling someone but then she went on her own
She followed the sound and was surprised to find the source being Geet's room,
the door of the room was ajar, Geet was sitting on the study table talking to some one,
NT moved further and found her talking to Maan who was sitting on the couch both had some books in front of them,
they were seriously discussing something
NT observed them both were so engrossed that they failed to notice her presence,
she just stood there for some time, when none paid attention she coughed.
Both looked at her at the same time
NT: what's going on?
M: nothing NT
NT: it seems you two were having some serious discussion
G: hello NT, yes you are right, this is really serious
M: don't bother her, we will solve it
G: but she should know this, what's the harm?
M: but we decided not to involve her in this
NT: wait, why are you 2 arguing? And what is this that I should know?
G: look here,
She showed her what they were doing those were plans of the latest project KC was handling and tomorrow evening was the presentation,
the project report had a serious flaw and even the estimate went wrong
NT: how did this happen?
M: yes this is what we were discussing, the prints I took out before forwarding it to the office are different, and some one sabotaged them in the office
NT: how did you find this out?
G: actually when you gave me the portfolio I just out of habit
gave it to Maan
NT: you give Maan out of habit
G: yes I always seek his advice before submitting any thing
NT was surprised that how did this miss from her eyes and even DM's eyes these two have always been talking to each other
NT: I never noticed you seeking his advice
M: NT, she use to keep it in my room and after reviewing I would jot down my comments and give it back to her, anyways about this project, 85% of the work has been done, rest is a little complicated, but we will manage, you go and take rest, by the time you lay down the breakfast table the corrected portfolio will be in your hands
G: rest assured NT, don't worry, we will take care of all this, trust us
NT: I trust both of you, and thank you, good night
G, M: good night take rest
NT was very happy, that these two have always been together tomorrow she will tell DM this good news and also she will tell
Dev to look out who was trying to ruin this project
