Kabhi Kabhi: Part 17

It was one and Angad was starving. He could have ordered something from the canteen but he had hope Kripa would appear. He finally gave up at 1:30. He stood up and walked to the door and crashed into Kirpa.

"Uhhhhh Angad!!!!!"

Angad bit his lip, why did they have to meet like this? Kripa passed an hand thought her hair, then looked up at him, "Angad? Tumko kidtha nahie hai?"

"Sorry!" He gave her a charming smile, and Kripa pushed him away and walked into his cabin. "Uh, Kirpa."

"Ya?"

"Did you bring lunch?"

"What do you think Angad?"

"Well, I don't think so, I don't see anything."

"It's in the canteen, it got cold so I told a peon to warm it and bring it here."

Kripa went back to her magazine, Angad nervously moved to the sofa beside her; he sat down. "Kirpa."

She looked at him, "Angad, ek baat batao."

"Kya?"

"Tum ek din main mera naam kitni baari letha ho?"

"Call it faith, majboran tumahara saara hua naam lena partha hai!" He sighed, and then looked at Kripa who was angry.

She smiled, "When your lunch arrives have fun eating it alone." She stood up to leave when Angad caught her hand. Kripa stood still, but she was smiling to herself. Angad faced her with his eyes lowered, Kripa noticed that he was sorry. "Ab kuch bolo bhi!"

"I'm sorry."

Kripa pressed her lips together, she stepped closer to him and took his hand in hers, Angad looked up at her. "Angad, when I married you, you were a different person. I tried to hate you but my past overtook me, even before marrying you I had hope we would improve, and we were. But suddenly things turned around and right now we are standing where we started of." Kripa was standing near the window now, she turned and looked at Angad. "What turned us around Angad? What turned you around?"

"Prithvi. My own brother Prithvi." Angad looked at Kripa with hurt eyes. "Kripa I never loved you, you never loved me. We will never love each other, but I'm married to you and I was hurt to find out that you were in love with Prithvi."

"Wait!" Angad paused, "You told you I was in LOVE with Prithvi?"

"He did!" Angad replied, "he told me that you married me but your still in love and-"

"Wait! Hold on. Prithvi told you that I was in love with him? When did this happen?"

"Right before I went to the States for two weeks." Suddenly Kripa started crying, Angad looked at her worried, "Kripa, why are you crying?!?!?" He made her sit down on the sofa and put her arm around her, "Kripa rona band karo koi aandar aagya tho mera khara ho jayga."

Kripa cried more and started hitting Angad. Between sobs she said, "tumko saari din aapni pari rethi hai! That's why I hate you Angad."

She was about to start crying again when Anagd yelled, "Chup! Stay here I'll be right back." He walked out of the office, Kripa got up and sat down on his seat and turned to face the wall.

She just sat there, she turned when she heard the door open. "Angad I-" She saw Prithvi standing in front of her. "Prithvi?"

"Kripa? What are you doing here."

"This is my husbands cabin, I can be here anytime I wish. Right now I have something to tell you. I'm in love with YOU?!" She waited for him to respond, "Well that's strange. I didn't know I was in love with you, but it magically happened that my husband found out I was in love with you?" She paused again when he didn't reply she talked again, "Prithvi, I forgave you because I thought you needed another chance. But I shouldn't have forgave you, all you did was break my trust again. Prithvi, I really never want to see you again."

She turned around when he finally spoke. "I broke your trust, and what did Angad do?"

Kripa turned and looked at him, "Angad, what ever he did is my problem, it's me to deal with. He's my husband and it's my choice to give him what ever punishment I wish. But Prithvi you, I though you understood me. I was wrong. You know you might be a million times better than Angad, but I still hate you. Simply because Angad never faked anything. When he hated me he hated me in front of me. You, you I don't know what's in your mind Prithvi." She turned around, "Prithvi just leave."

"Kripa at least give me a chance."

"NO!" She yelled, she turned around and noticed Angad at the door. She stopped. She looked at Angad and then stormed out of the office. Prithvi turned around and saw Anagd standing there. Angad had a million things to say to Prithvi, but right now the best thing to do was see Kripa. Angad turned around and followed Kripa.

Kripa rushed to her car and stood next to it crying. She didn't know why she was crying, was she crying because Prithvi had betrayed her one more time and she had started to trust him? Or, was she crying because Angad knew about her past? Kripa just wanted to run away somewhere, somewhere no one knew her. She was about to open the door and drive away when she felt someone's hand on her shoulder. She paused thinking it might be Prithvi, but when she turned she saw Anagd standing there. He was glad to see Angad there and not Prithvi.

She gave him her full attention, "Angad I don't know what to say. I just want to run away from here."

"You do?" She nodded her head, "Come with me."

"Lakin Angad…"

"Do you trust me?!" Kripa's eye brow suddenly cocked, "Wrong things to ask." He admitted.

Kripa twisted her lips, "If I say I trust you will you break my trust again?" Angad nodded his head. Kripa held her hand out, "Promise?"

Angad tilted his head and gave her his hand, "I promise."

About thirty minutes later Angad and Kripa were at a beach. It was completely empty. And they both sat their looking at the water; the waves washing away and then rolling back in. Angad and Kripa had lunch at a small resturant and then came to this beach. They had been sitting here for almost an hour now, and no one had talked.

"I'm sorry Kripa." Kripa looked at Angad confused.

"For what Angad?"

"For everything I've done to you till today. Everything. Me meeting you to begin with was wrong."

Kripa rested her hand on his arm, "We've spend a lot of good time together, Angad."

"Tell me something Kripa."

"What?"

"Do you still think I killed Rahul?"

"Yes Angad I do. And I blame you for it too, but I guess I don't hold you responsible for it anymore Angad. I can't get Rahul back, but I want you here."

"You do?" He was surprised and Kripa saw it in his eyes.

"I do Angad. The time I spend with you in Europe almost compels me to stay close to you. We never hated each other, we know you did because you left that note for me saying sorry. And, I forgave you because you were honest about it. If you wanted you could have taken advantage of me that day but you didn't. And-" She paused, took a deep breath and then talked again. "And I'm thankful to you for that."

Angad's hair were flying in different directions, he placed his hand on top of Kripa's and squeezed it, "I don't think I can ever be the same Angad I was. You've changed me. And, for good."

Another wave washed to the shore this time leaving its sprays on Kripa and Angad. They both were still looking at each other, suddenly no one knows what got into them they got closer and hugged each other. Almost as if they awaited this moment for years. They sat holding each other for almost ten minutes. Neither one of them said anything, no sound surrounded them expect the waves; the wind singing to them, and their own heart beats.

When they finally let go of each other, they were still in paradise. Neither one looked at the other instead they looked opposite directions and smiled to themselves.

The Khanna family was having dinner, when the door opened and stepped in a laughing couple of Angad and Kripa. They had spend the entire day together, but at the office.

They got back from the beach and went to the office and Kripa helped Angad get a few things done. They didn't see Prithvi for the rest of the day until now. When they both looked at the dinner table they found, Saamiya, Karan, and Prithvi watching them shocked. Both, Angad and Kripa knew why Saamiya and Kara were shocked. They didn't expect to see the two together, entering the house not fighting. Prithvi, was simply jealous. And, Angad was happy to see this.

Naina looked at Saamiya, Karan, and Prithvi confused. "Why do you guys look so shocked?" Naina asked.

They all instantly sat down, "Vo, Mom, we can't believe they aren't fighting like two little kids." Karan said still in shock. Kripa and Angad giggled.

"I'm going to go fresh-up." Angad said, Kripa took his bag and he left from there.

"Di, you sit I'll serve." Saamiya smiled at her sister, and they all continued to eat. Everyone was done, and Saamiya, Karan and Kripa were sitting in the den just talking. Prithvi had left for his room right after, and Angad never came back down.

"Kripa, you should go check on Angad."

Confused she asked, "Why?"

"I mean where is he," Karan asked.

"He must be doing something!"

"Kirpa, tell me something," Kripa looked at Saamiya again who was sitting tucked into Karan's arms. "did you and Angad spend the day together?"

"Uh, yes. Why?"

"No, just wondering. It's quite a shock. You guys spend a day together without killing each other?"

Kirpa rolled her eyes and stood up, "I should go check on Angad." She left both of them alone and went to her room.

"You think they have something going on?" Saamiya asked Karan.

"I have no idea. I'm still in shock, they spend an entire day together. Then came into the house laughing and happy. I though that one of them would be dead."

Saamiya smacked his arm, "Your too much Karan. I think they are in love."

"No they are not Saamiya."

"How do you know?"

"I mean they might be in love but they are not going to realize it yet. And, I also know they will be fighting at breakfast table again tomorrow!"

"I think you're right!"

"I'm always right Saamiya." He kissed her forehead, "Tell me something, when are these nine months going to be over?"

"In, eight more months!" She laughed, and kissed an angry Karan. "I love you."

"I love you too!" He hugged her tightly and they sat in the den for some more time.

Kripa entered her room and found Angad sleeping on the bed. He Hadn't changed from his cloths and had just fallen asleep. Kripa's face took a smile and she walked into the room and sat on the bed beside Angad, a different Angad. He hadn't seen him sleep this peacefully in days, or at least she hadn't seen him sleeping with a smile on his face for a long time. "I guess he really is sorry for everything he's done!" Kirpa sighed. She looked at him again and smiled, he looked so cute, like a little new born baby sleeping without any worries or tensions. Kripa ran her hand thought his hair. Then, she stood up and spread a blanket over him. She turned the lights off and left the room.
