Chapter 7: Keh do Zara

"How did it go?" she asked nervous.

"Relax, it was my exam and you're the one who's nervous. Thanks to your help and my brilliance I breezed through it" he said causally putting a hand around her waist.

"You know people are watching?" she said stiffening under his touch.

After that little kiss incident she had become even more repellent to his touch and very uncomfortable too.

He had pretended like nothing happened so she wouldn't be uneasy but the truth was he felt a bit jittery.

"What do you mean!? I can put a hand around your waist. Please don't go all touchmenot now" he said laughing.

She moved his hand and slided away.

"I don't want your million girlfriends to come upto me and ask questions and be all bitchy" she said folding her arms across his chest.

"If that's the reason then………….."

He jerked her back.

She gasped.

"Wow I had no idea you allowed me to do this" he said teasing.

She looked away blushing.

"No I just I ummmmm" she said looking away.

He turned her by the cheek gently towards him.

"Ill let it go this time" he said whispering in her ear.

She froze and just nodded while he chuckled.

"Can I have the usual?" he said looking at her with the corner of his mischief filled eyes.

"NOPE!" she said shaking her head in denial like a little child.

"Please"

"No"

"Please, or I'm going" he said raising a finger.

"Okay fine, byee" she giggling.

"No if you giggle like that, it's not safe for you to giggle like that in a bar"

"Why?" she said furrowing her brows.

"Because someone might take you home"

She slapped his arm playfully.

"Yup" he said but only to be interrupted.

"Hey sexy" one of the girls said coming over.

Geet felt like she was about to choke.

"Hi….." said Maan confused who this was.

"You want to dance" she said coming closer towards him almost in his lap.

"No maybe later" he said genuinely not interested.

Geet looked at them with glistening eyes from tears forming.

"Ill be waiting" the girl whispered into his ear and kissed his cheek seductively.

"Woo!" said Maan fixing his vest.

Geet looked away.

"So, you remember our bet right?"

She rolled her eyes.

"Hey!! No fair! Now you're scared right? You know I'll win!" he said smirking.

"You know let's just wait and see…………" she said smiling sadly.

They had made a bet that if Maan got the highest average in all his classes she would do anything. And if he lost she could make him do anything.

She had just agreed so he could study harder considering he HATED losing anything. But a part of her wanted to let him dominate over her.

"I obviously am gunna win" he said sipping his drink.

"Okay Mr. Casanova but the girl waits for you over there" she said trying her hardest to sound amused.

The same girl waited. She wore a short ripped-style mini skirt with a red tube that hung just above her belly.

She was leaning against the counter and smiling at him to come. She was pretty with full lips and blue eyes but her body gave her more advantage.

He looked at Geet turning.

"Ill just be back" he said putting the drink back and walking over to the girl.

She saw them looking at each other and Maan's hand on the girls ware waist.

She closed her eyes as a tear fell down.

"Geet your shifts over!!" the manager said from behind.

She tightened her pony tail and didn't look back at them she went and got her things.

As she was about to step out of the employee door. She stopped and wiped her tears away and fixed herself up.

She was about to turn as someone grabbed her hand.

She looked up at him and froze and let the cool current pass through her.

"Hey, I'll drop you" he said softly whispering.

She stared at him confused.

He chuckled.

"Incase your wondering I didn't feel like dancing with her or doing anything else infact so i just quickly gave her a twirl and left…." He said amused.

She looked at him in awe. He had always spent his time and enjoyed himself. Today he wanted to be with her and caught up quickly.

She felt over-joyed and her heart felt warm.

Now the cool current was replaced with a warm sensation…….

She shivered.

"You're gunna catch a cold" he said rubbing her hands leading her to the car.

She looked at him in awe.

She woke up and prayed to Babaji for Maan's results and then opened her eyes.

She smiled soo much since last night. By not being with the blonde girl last night he had given her another reason to smile.

It was a feeling she wanted to carry forever.

Many things had happened to her that made her lose her laughter and sense of anything. But he had come and as easy as just a wink he had given her a reason to smile, smile again.

She looked at the ceiling and replayed the moments with him. The kiss………..

She opened her eyes.

"No this isn't right" she said getting up.

At the Bistro:

She saw him wait at her under a table outside. A large white umbrella shadowed the table. The fence that separated the bistro from the sidewalk was covered in vines. There was a flower basket in the centre of the table.

She came through the entrance the bistro was filled with people. Yet he had managed to get a table.

Maan Singh Khurana could do anything, she thought.

She then went to the back where he was sitting.

As soon as she approached him he pulled her into a hug.

She was startled, surprised, shocked.

People looked at them and then turned away smiling.

He rubbed her back with his hands and she could feel him smile his teeth wide against her shoulder. Even through her sweater.

"I did it!!" he said hugging her tighter.

She felt light headed. Almost as her head would burst up into the air and her body would remain in his arms.

Her hands were on her sides.

He then let go and pushed her gently over to her seat.

He sat smiling.

"Congratulations!" she said smiling as happiness took over.

"So you're going right cuz you said you would do anything?!" he said looking hopeful and enthusiastic.

She looked at his expression and her heart sank.

"You don't care that you topped but you care that I go?" she said amazed

"Yeah!?" he said like that wasn't a big deal.

She raised a brow amazed.

"The only reason I did it was so you could go with me. Top five is something I always do but because of you I'm the best, I'm the best I'm the best!!" he said flashing his white perfect smile.

She laughed.

"Wow you are happy very happy!" she said pulling her braid over to her right shoulder.

The wind blew a strand of hair and he watched it bother her.

He leaned and moved it behind her ear.

She looked up at him a soft look on her face.

He looked at her in an intense way……

"Tell me Geet?"

"YES!! I'm going" she said not breaking the stare.

"WHAT!?" he said getting up not believing his ears.

She looked at him dancing crazily acting like a little kid.

"Thanks!!!!!" he said bowing for the people who laughed and clapped seeing his enthusiasm.

"You're crazy!!" she said looking away giggling.

"I love your giggles! Gosh woman finally you said YES!!!" he said as he picked up a menu card.

PRECAP:

"Now since you said yes….I have a surprise" he said smirking.

"What?" she said looking at the building they were in front of.
