Farewell week...In Every Glance, A Lifetime: The Saga of PraShiv💕
Devi,
Wonderful, wonderful update!!Like I have said before .. you have a wonderful writing style .. subtle yet descriptive enough! ( or is that because I have an exquisite imagination?!!)The only criticism i have is that you haven't turned the Ff into a mini serial!! Oh ... imagine that .. in fact, I can just visualise that now .. hmmmmmmmmmmm!!no worries with ratings, TRP .. imagine your your audience volumes ...
OMG the last six hours have not only intense to gauri but to me too😆.Anyway Shiv have settled thier score that night😈.Seems like God had mercy upon him instead on Gauri,oh God she almost begged him🤣.I have read the last seven parts together,so i didn't the need to wait for curious as what comes next, but it was worth reading the 6 hours together.Too hot ,intense, what else to say😍.U have o put the warning to all the hours parts☺️,i insist.About the word "aphrodisiac" i haven't heard before, but i now learned about it usefulness, thanks to u😉.But u really made me curious to read more.I didn't expect Shiv's confession, but happy he had said his longing for her.Continue.............
The Hours – Part 7
"Because my love for you is beyond words, I decided to shut up." – Nizar Qabbani
As much as he was known for his easy wooing of women, ultimately he did not consider himself a romantic. Something about that word sounded trite and contrived, like it was a mere adjective pretending to be a theology… He genuinely believed that all women were beautiful, even when they didn't know it yet… he found a woman's appeal in how well she knew herself rather than anything else… even though people in general, and Gauri in particular, thought that he was a regular ol' heart-breaker – and he was the first to admit that it may have occasionally occurred when he had misjudged someone at first – he really wasn't… the women he generally chose were not of the typical mold anyways… they had different notions of womanhood and sexuality - sometimes even if they didn't know it themselves…
Didn't these people who judged him without thought wonder how he was able to be a "Casanova" in India of all places - a land that despite its ancient history of acknowledging and respecting the differences that made a woman everything that she was, somewhere along the way seemed to have forgotten all of it, forcing women into a narrow mold of "pavitra patni" – like she can only be defined in relation to a man… how preposterous! But he had learned that there were women, in both traditional and modern societies within this country, who were able to see past all of it… just like there were men who were able to see past the seemingly dominating, yet rigidly restricting parameters that were ascribed to the 'Indian man'. His natural gift was not his 'pheromones' – as Gauri had called it – but his ability to see through the facade, not just in women, but in himself too… and the fact that he was not overly bothered if that ability of his was misperceived by those who didn't know…
Most of the women – girls like Neela were an exception, and he had never crossed that boundary with Neela anyways – with whom he had had relationships, he remembered as cherished memories. They had all known that his heart had always been elsewhere, but his mind and body were completely with them during their time together… and it was generally the same for them… so, Gauri's accusation that he dated women who pretended to be independent, strong, and caring, while he carelessly let himself be "left off the hook" while he broke their heart had touched a sore spot…a genuinely independent and strong woman would not pretend to be uncaring if she decided that she was losing something that was worth fighting for… but then again, he knew enough to know that that whole spiel of hers really had been all about her… but he allowed that she honestly thought that it was a reflection of the sentiments of every woman he had ever dated, but really - she didn't know every woman he had ever dated… she only knew herself… the fear of being loved and left behind was hers… and he didn't think it was a fear that she had about everyone… he had an inkling that it was a feeling that she reserved especially for him…
If she was awake now and not lying naked, sated, and sleeping his arms, he could have reassured her that while he still didn't know where his heart lay, he would never willingly leave this marriage… and he wouldn't let her leave it either, if he could help it… no matter what the reason may have been that had brought them together…
