It was Holi at University. A celebration Abhay never celebrated apart from his his time as a human. He usually hated colour. He despised it on himself because he belonged with the darkness. Chand and Haseena were the same. Piya popped round with Misha and Kabir baring gifts. Lexie and Pari ran down the stairs at the Raichand's as soon as they heard presents. Lux just sat on the Sofa oblivious to the world. He could care less about presents. Right now his world was crumbling down.
Piya handed Abhay his package watching him open it with her big brown eyes smiling away with excitement-"Do U like it?"
Abhay forced a fake smile at the white sherwani-"It's perfect honey but i don't wear white. I never have."
Piya tried to hide her disappointment-"It's Ok. I'll take it back. I just wanted us to celebrate together as a family."
Abhay saw Piya's face drop-"U know me very well by now Piya. I don't do colour. It's against my nature."
Pia sillenly-"But Abhay i am against your nature too what about that hey. This would have been a fun day for all of us. I really want to see U in it. We all do."
Abhay-But Piya?
Pia took the package back-"U want me to give it back then fine. I'll drop it off to a charity shop."
Misha charged at Abhay-"Seriously dude take a chill pill. Piya only wanted one thing from U today. What is it with U Raichand's and colour? Does your family have an allergy to colour? I've never seen U wear anything but black. I'm beginning to wonder if this mansion is all doom and gloom for a reason. Would it kill U if U gave into her wishes. Where's the Loverboy Abhay gone? U better not upset my girl because they'll be murder on the floor."
Kabir held his friend back-"Misha there's no need to resort to violence yaar. Everytime U do this."
Lexie-"Do it for Piya if you won't do it for us. We've been trying to get Abhay and Lux into the spirit of the festivities but the party poopers are ruining the mood for us."
Abhay took the clothes back from Piya-"Fine i'll wear it. This goes against everything i am Piya."
Piya's smile returned-"Thank U Abhay. And No this does not go against everything U are because U are the light. Never forget that."
Misha watched Lux huddled away-"Oh no U don't Mr. Your penalty for not being available is to do my bidding. Now your leader Abhay's caved in so will U."
Lux gave Misha his puupy eyes-"I'm not in the mood Mish. I hate Holi. Always have."
Misha beamed beside him-"This Holi is special because U have the party animal Misha to keep U rocking. Now move your Butt and do as i say. Take the package and open it."
Lux tore the wrapping and saw an identical outfit as Abhay-"Now Abhay and I can look like twins. Just what i always wanted."
Misha playfully smacked Lux's head-"No mocking. Start wearing. U Raichand men are so colorless. Add some colour yaar. It makes life more joyful and a lot more fun. Take Piya she's always in colour and it shows in her beauty. Your sisters are always upbeat. This is what colour does to people. While U and Abhay act like the creatures of the night."
Lux-"Fine i'm off go bugg someone else."
Misha smiled-"Already bugged Sid and U guys were my last victims."
Lux-"Who gave U our sizes?"
Misha gave a sheepish grin-"Your sisters."
Lexie grinned-"I knew you'd do what it took to impress your girlfriends so it was the best solution."
Abhay and Lux tried their outfits in the next room. They so were not in the mood for this. As soon as they came the girls all whistled for them.
Piya was awestruck-"Abhay U look......I........"
Misha giggled out loud-"She's speechless. I'll finish off her sentence. Piya means to say U look like an Angel. Handsome as ever in white. I can't wait to place some colour on those white a**."
Lux glared at Misha-"I think we can go now."
Misha hugged Lux-"And U look good enough to eat. There i said it now we can go."
Lexie beamed-"White sure suits both Lux and Abhay. Kabir i bought this for U. I know it's not flash but it's all i could afford."
Kabir took his gift and ripped it up-"This i'll always treasure Lexie. I love it. I'll wear it at mine. I only came to drop the girls off."
Misha nodded-"Yeah Sd had someone to meet so we had to get a ride from Kabir."
