Dinesh was quite happy these days that sanaya and jai are spending more time together. Whether at the time of lunch or dinner, or whether going out, sanaya always remained with jai. The reason was that sanaya enjoyed his company, and the same was with jai. He too liked being with her. As mohit remained busy with his work, sanaya passed her time with jai, her so called 'best friend' now. Dinesh thought that sanaya loved jai, and so, he decided to announce her engagement with jai.

"party? Wo kisliye?" sanaya exclaimed, looking at dinesh with wide eyes.

"bas, ye samajh lo ki tumhare liye ek surprise hai!" dinesh smiled.

"wow!! Surprise??? I love surprises!" sanaya beamed happily like a 5-year old kid.

"jaanta hun, isliye toh especially ye party tumhare liye organize kiya hai maine!"

"lekin papa, jaldi batao na ki wo surprise kya hai? Mujhse wait nahi hota!" she said, making a cute baby face.

"itni bhi jaldi kya hai? Bas, kal shaam tak ka intezaar kar lo, fir tumhara surprise tumhare saamne hoga!"

Sanaya smiled happily, while dinesh left from there. Sanaya started guessing about what surprise could her father plan for her. She was really very excited for it, as she loves surprises. But at last, she gave up, and decided to wait till the next evening, when she would finally come to know about her surprise.

The next evening, all the servants were appointed to do the arrangements of the party in a perfect manner. The entire hall was crowded with many workers, servants, and others helping for the party arrangements. While sanaya, roamed around the hall with wide surprised eyes, looking carefully at each and every arrangement.

"arrangements to bahut hi achhi ho rahi hain!" sanaya thought, with twinkling eyes, "I guess papa ne mere liye bahut bada surprise plan kiya hai! Wow! This is so cool! Aaj shaam ko bahut maza aane wala hai!"

Sanaya continued to look all around the hall, and thinking all positive and exciting about the party, but this girl was unknown of the problem which was coming in her way, wrapped in the word 'surprise'.

Jai came back at home, and found the entire hall decorated perfectly. He was quite amazed to see this, and then looked around for someone. Finally, he went to sanaya's room, where she was getting ready. Jai entered in her room, but before he could speak up anything, he was astonished to see her room condition. It was messed up very badly, with all sanaya's dresses thrown on bed and floor, her almost all the cosmetics thrown here and there. Jai looked up, and saw sanaya standing in front of mirror, combing her hairs.

"oh hii jai!!" sanaya smiled, as she looked at him through the mirror.

"ye sab kya hai? Tumhara room itna bikhra hua kyun hai?" jai asked, still in astonishment.

"ab isme meri kya galti?" sanaya turned to him, "maine maid se kaha tha ki jo meri puraani dresses hain unhe mere cupboard se nikaal de, magar usne wo kaam kiya hi nahi! Toh mujhe aaj ki party ke liye koi achha sa dress select karne ke liye saara saamaan cupboard se bahar nikaalna pada."

"tum saamaan nikaal kar bed pe bhi rakh sakti thi, use is tarah phekne ki kya zarurat thi!" jai said.

"oh come on, ab mujhe ye saaf safai nahi aati! Waise bhi, main toh aaj ki party ke liye bahut excited hun!" sanaya smiled like a child. "tumhe pata hai kya ki papa ne mere liye kya surprise plan kiya hai?"

"umm…..well, yes….."

"great, toh fir batao na ki wo surprise kya hai? Please?" she looked at him smilingly.

"agar bata dunga, toh fir surprise surprise thodi na reh jayega!" jai said with attitude.

"please na jai, batao na surprise kya hai?"

"just wait and watch, shaam ko toh waise bhi tum jaan hi jaaogi ki surprise kya hai!" jai smiled.

"agar nahi batana chahte ho toh theek hi hai." Sanaya moved out of the room.

Jai looked at sanaya while she left the room, and then he smiled to himself, thinking about her. But after a while, he stopped smiling, and became quite serious.

"whats happening with me? Main…….main sanaya ki taraf itna attract kyun ho raha hun? I must not forget ki mera plan kya hai…..par……….main…..sanaya……….." he thought in a confused state.

The party was touching a high peak around late evening. All the guests seemed to be very impressed with the arrangements of the party, and so was sanaya, but she was still unknown of the reason for which this grand party was thrown. She tried to ask to jai, but he avoided her. Sanaya remained to herself in the entire party, until nisha came there. She had a nice time with her, and guessed what the surprise could be.

"mujhe lagta hai na, ki uncle ko finally realize ho gaya ki tujhe mental asylum mein bhej dena chahiye, isliye unhone ye grand party throw ki hai!" nisha grinned.

"shut-up! Bekaar ke jokes mat crack kar!" sanaya said, hitting nisha slightly on her shoulders.

"toh fir tu hi guess kar ki surprise kya hai! Mujhse ye guessing ka kaam nahi hota………mian drink lene jaa rahi hun….tumhe kuchh chahiye?" nisha stood up.

"haan, tequila shots lana.." sanaya said, sitting at nisha's place.

"hello? Are you ok? Ye….. night club nahi hai idiot, jo tu shots legi……" nisha turned to her.

"maine jo maanga hai wo laakar do." Sanaya said firmly.

"fine! Jab talli ho jana, toh mujhe mat kuchh kehna!" nisha went from there.

It was not a new thing that at every party, sanaya loved only to have drinks, if she got bored among the guests present there. And at this time too, she took more than enough tequila shots, and was totally out of senses. While nisha did not took notice of this, as she was busy talking to jai. Sanaya came to them, walking clumsily.

"hey guys, whats up!!" sanaya smiled widely.

"oh god! Chadh gayi ise!" nisha said under her breathe, which was heard by jai.

"what………tumne kya kaha? Aur…..why is sanaya behaving so weird?" jai looked at nisha confusingly.

"kyunki hamari pyaari sanaya ne shots liye…..aur itne zyada liye ki wo totally out of control ho gayi hai!" nisha said, looking at sanaya angrily.

"kaun sanaya? Kis sanaya ki baat kar rahi ho tum?" sanaya said, poking to nisha.

"obviously, tumhari. Kyunki agar tumhari jaise aur hoti na, toh ye duniya kab ki khatam ho gayi hoti!" nisha said.

"shut up!" sanaya said. "is duniya mein, total…..one…..two….three…..four…..umm…..haan……total five sanayas hain!" sanaya said cheekily.

"oh really? Well, I would like to know them!" nisha said sarcastically.

"ek papa ki beti sanaya, dusri nisha ki best friend sanaya, teesri mohit ki girlfriend sanaya, chauthi jai ki best friend sanaya, aur paanchvi…….. random sanaya!" sanaya said, counting on her finger tips like an innocent baby.

"I guess tumhe mental asylum bhejna hi padega!" nisha said.

"agar wahan mohit hoga, to hi main wahan jaungi." Replied sanaya.

"haan, agar tumhare saath rahega to use bhi mental asylum ki zarurat hogi." Jai grinned.

"shut-up!" sanaya said, hitting him on his shoulder.

"are par tum hi toh……."

"I have an important announcement to make!" Dinesh said aloud, standing in front of everybody.

Everyone present there paid attention to the announcement, nisha, sanaya and jai too turned in front. But nisha noticed a weird smile on jai's face, which made her suspicious.

"iski smile kuchh ajeeb hai…… I'm sure kuchh gadbad hone waali hai!" nisha thought I her mind.

"Aap sab yehi soch rahe honge, ki maine ye grand party kis khushi ke liye organize ki hai. Well, har pita yehi chahte hai, ki uski beti hamesha khush rahe, use kabhi kisi bhi tarah ki takleef na ho. Aur ek pita hone ke naate, main bhi apni ek lauti beti ki khushi chahte hun." Dinesh said in the same tone.

"dekha, papa mujhse kitna Pyaar karte hain!" sanaya whispered proudly to nisha.

"tu do minute chup karegi? Idiot!" nisha turned to her with pissed off expression.

Sanaya kept her forefinger on her lips like a kid does.

"jai, Yahan aao." Dinesh turned to jai.

He smiled, and then walked towards dinesh with proud look on his face, but with his evil intentions in his mind. This made nisha more furious, but sanaya stood silently.

"aaj maine ye party isliye rakhi hai, taaki main apni beti sanaya ko sabse khaas gift de sakun." Dinesh said, and then he turned to sanaya." Sanaya, Yahan aao."

Sanaya smiled widely, and then started walking towards dinesh and jai, but with clumsy steps. She was about to fall, when nisha held her, and they both walked forward.

"main, sanaya ki sagai, apne khaas dost ke bete, jai ke saath announce karta hun!" dinesh smiled widely.

Everyone present there clapped for them happily. All were happy, and jai was extremely happy, while nisha was the only one who stood in shock. She couldn't believe what she just heard. With a shocked expression, she turned to sanaya, only to see her smiling widely. This made nisha even more shocked, and she looked at sanaya in disbelief.

"sanaya??" nisha shook her silghty.

"kya hua? Tum bhi clapping karo na! sab kar rahe hain." Sanaya smiled.

"you can't be serious! I mean…. Tumne suna abhi uncle ne kya announce kiya?" nisha spoke.

"haan. Jai aur sanaya ki engagement!"

"idiot, bol toh aise rahi ho jaise sanaya ke saath mohit ka naam liya hai." Nisha said in slight anger.

"matlab?"

"you aren't shocked? I mean tumhari engagement jai se fix ho gayi hai aur tum ho ki Yahan pagalon ki tarah clapping kar rahi ho?"

"toh?"

"toh kya? Tum mohit se pyaar karti ho, aur engagement jai se karogi? Are you out of your senses?" nisha said.

"ullu, wo toh jai ki sanaya se jai ki engagement fix hui hai. Mohit ki sanaya toh mohit se hi engagement karegi na!" sanaya smiled innocently.

"this is not at all a joke sanaya! Tum meri baat dhyaan se sun rahi ho na? You and mohit love each other, and that's it. Tum jai se engagement nahi kar sakti!" nisha said firmly.

Dinesh came to sanaya with a small box of ring in his hand.

"beta, ye ring jai ko pehna do." He said, giving her the open box.

Sanaya took out the ring from the box, and then walked to jai. At first, she passed him an innocent smile, and then quickly put the ring in his finger. And then jai too put the ring in her finger, and smiled evilly. Everyone present there clapped for them again, while nisha was still in a shocked state.

"ye sanaya ko kya ho gaya hai? Itna kuchh ho raha hai, Yahan tak ki usne jai ko ring bhi pehna di, fir bhi use kuchh hosh hi nahi hai? I can smell something wrong………. Sanaya ne itni bhi drink nahi li, ki use ye tak hosh na ho ki wo kise ring pehna rahi hai! Kuchh toh gadbad hai!" nisha thought.

The party was over. All the guests had gone after the dinner was over. Dinesh and jai went in their respective rooms to take rest, and sanaya too was sleeping peacefully in her room, hugging her teddy bear, and with a sweet smile playing on her lips.

Today, the only person who was unhappy and suspicious about sanaya's engagement was nisha. She knew that it would be useless to talk to sanaya, as she was drunk. So, she tried several times to call mohit, but since he was out of town for some important work, his cell was switched off. Mohit remained unknown of this incident.

Sanaya woke up next morning, and found herself still wearing the blue dress which she wore in the party. She went in washroom, and freshened up quickly. Coming back from the washroom, she sat on bed, wearing bath robe.

"aaj toh mujhe jaldi jagna tha……… after all mera mohit kal wapas aa raha hai!" she said to herself, with a blush on her face. "aur mujhe uske liye dher saari shopping karni hai!"

She stood up and went in front of mirror to comb her hairs. As she raised her hand, her eyes fell on the ring which was shining brightly in her finger.

"ye ring…………ye kahan se aayi?" she was confused, and looked at the ring carefully. "kal tak toh maine koi ring nahi pehni thi……..fir ye kahan se aa gayi? Chalo chhodo, ise nikaal deti hun!" she said, and tried to remove the ring from her finger. But it was stuck to her finger. Sanaya tried 2-3 times, but failed to remove the ring.

"rehne do! Waise bhi, kaafi achhi ring hai!" she smiled, and then turned to the cupboard.

Sanaya changed her dress, and then came down for breakfast. Dinesh, and jai were waiting for her on the dining, and when she came, they wished good morning. Sanaya sat down, and then they all ate their breakfast.

"waise papa, aapne bataya nahi ki mera surprise kya tha!" sanaya said, gulping down the juice.

"surprise? Bata toh dia tha kal party mein! Aur tum toh bahut khush bhi hui thi!" dinesh looked at her.

"bata dia? Kal party mein? Fir mujhe kuchh yaad kyu nahi?" she asked confusingly.

"kaise yaad rahega princess? Kal toh tum full on talli ho gayi thi!" jai smiled.

Sanaya felt quite embarrassed, as jai said that in front of her father, but still she thought of the surprise.

"lekin fir bhi, maine itne shots to nahi liye the ki mujhe papa ka surprise yaad hi na ho!" she said to herself.

"beta, apni ungli dekh lo. Surprise apne aap yaad aa jayega!" dinesh smiled.

"ungli?" sanaya confusingly looked at her all fingers, and then she noticed that ring carefully. For a moment, she thought something, and then smiled widely.

"oh!! Toh ye ring papa ne mujhe dia……yaani papa mujhe diamond ring gift karna chahte the! Cool!" she thought, and then stood up. "thank you so much papa!! Ye bahut hi achha gift hai!" sanaya hugged dinesh.

"you're most welcome beta! And I'm glad ki tum mere decision se khush ho!" he said. "anyways, mera breakfast toh ho gaya, and I'm getting late. Aaj saara kaam khatam karna hoga. Kal mohit wapas aane wala hai na!"

Sanaya blushed slightly hearing mohit's name, but she couldn't figure out the tone in which dinesh took his name. While jai too smiled to himself, as if he was well aware of dinesh's intention.

Dinesh left from there. Sanaya was still busy eating her breakfast, while jai finished his breakfast, and then left from there. The maid came there to clean up the table, and while cleaning, she talked to sanaya.

"main aapke liye bahut khush hun! Aakhir aapne shaadi karne ki soch hi li!"

As the maid said this, sanaya threw out the juice from her mouth in shock.

"ise kaise pata ki main mohit se shaadi karne ki soch rahi hun?" sanaya thought with wide eyes.

"chhheee!!!!!" the maid looked at her in disguise.

"kya chheee ki bachchi? Ye shaadi ki baat beech mein kaise aayi?" sanaya stood up.

"beech mein aayi matlab? Jahan tak mere knowledge general hai……"

"general knowledge hai!" sanaya corrected the sentence.

"haan wahi, toh sagai ke baad shaadi hi hoti hai na?"

"obviously! Lekin maine abhi tak sagai hi kahan ki hai!" sanaya sat down again to eat.

"sagai nahi ki matlab? Toh kal jo hua wo kya mera sapna tha ya fir ek mazak?" the maid said confusingly.

"kal jo hua?? Kya hua kal?" sanaya looked at her with a horrid look on her face.

"arre, kal aapne aur jai sahab ne sagai ki na!"

Sanaya remained silent for a while. Her maid looked at her for some response, but to her surprise, sanaya started laughing badly.

"tum pagal ho kya? Main aur jai se sagai?? Zarur tumhara sapna hoga!" sanaya again continued eating.

"ho sakta hai!" maid said, but then her eyes fell on the engagement ring of sanaya. "toh agar jo maine dekha wo sapna tha, toh fir ye same to same ring aapki ungli mein kaise aa gayi? Maine sapne mein bilkul aisi hi ring dekhi thi!" she said, pointing to the same ring.

Sanaya stopped smiling, and then looked at the ring carefully. She tried to recall the last evening, but she could hardly remember anything. But now, she was suspicious about all the things happening around her. She recalled everything from starting, when dinesh enquired her about jai's behaviour and nature, when dinesh mentioned about a special surprise for her, when she noticed the ring for the first time in her finger, and at the breakfast table, when dinesh said to her that she was happy regarding his'decision'.

"iska……………..matlab………………..meri sagai jai……….jai ke…….ke saath….." sanaya was shocked to death. "that's not possible! Main…….main nisha se baat karti hun."

Sanaya quickly went in her room, and called nisha to her home.

"finally, tumhe yaad aa gaya ki kal party mein kya hua tha!" nisha said, looking at sanaya angrily.

"nahi nisha, mujhe kuchh yaad nahi hai…..tab hi toh maine tumhe Yahan bulaya! Please batao na kal shaam party mein kya hua tha? Ye ring…..meri engagement jai se…..what the he** is going on! I just hope jo main soch rahi hun…..wo galat ho……….."

Nisha was feeling extremely sad, and she turned to sanaya.

"jo tum soch rahi ho……….that's true. Kal shaam party mein……tumhari sagai jai se ho gayi thi!" nisha spoke up, after gathering much courage.

This was only enough to make sanaya shocked. She sat on bed with that shocked look on her face, thinking that how come she did this. She loved someone else, then how could she get engaged to some other person. Nisha sat beside her, and tried to console her.

"sanaya please…..dekho…… jo bhi hua usme tumhari koi galti nahi thi….."

"meri hi galti thi damn!" sanaya screamed aloud. "mujhe……mujhe kaise dhyaan nahi raha ki main kya kar rahi thi…….kaise maine ye kar dia nisha? Kaise? Main itne nashe mein thi ki……ki ye bhool gayi ki main kisse pyaar karti hun aur kisse sagai kar rahi hun…… ye kaise bewakoofi kar di maine……"

"chill sanaya! Dekho, tum kal full on talli thi, and I too don't know ye kaise hua! I mean, main kal party mein saare time tumhare saath thi, par tumne itne shots bhi nahi liye the ki tumhe ye bhi dhyaan na rahe ki tum kisse sagai kar rahi ho! Mujhe toh kuchh gadbad lagta hai……."

"jo bhi ho, par sagai toh ho gayi na…………..aur…….aur ab main kya karungi?? Kal………. Kal mohit aane wala hai……main……main use kaise face karungi……..kaise use ye sab bataungi……wo…..use bahut bura lagega nisha…..wo mujhpar bahut gussa hoga…...maine itni badi galti kaise kar di…..

"calm down sanaya!" nisha held her slightly from shoulders. "look, agar tum itni hyper hogi toh tum mohit ko shayad hi face kar paao."

"par main…………..mohit se…….."

"tumhe usse baat karni ho hogi…..lekin ek baar use wapas aa jaane do. Agar tumne use phone kia, toh shayad misunderstandings aur badh jaayengi. Once he is back, tum dono milna, aur uske saamne hi use ye sab batana. And please don't lose courage. Meri best friend sanaya bahut brave hai. Hain na?"

Sanaya shook her head innocently in positive.

"toh fir, ab rona band karo, aur ye socho ki tum usse kaise baat karogi. Lekin ek baat yaad rakhna, agar wo gussa bhi kare, toh use kehne dena……aur apni baat adhoori mat chhodna. Waise bhi, itna to mohit ko main jaanti hi hun ko wo tumpar gussa nahi hoga."

"pakka na? wo…..wo meri baat sunega na?" sanaya looked at nisha innocently.

"haan meri maan! Lekin tum zyada hyper mat hona, warna fir koi gadbad ho jaayegi. And I can't see you guys messing up with each other!" nisha said.

"you know what? Tum is duniya ki sabse achhi dost ho! Sanaya smiled, and hugged her.

"I know! Tumhare jaisi ladki ke liye achhi hona hi padta hai!" nisha too hugged her back. "I just hope ki ye saari problems solve ho jaayein." She thought.

Although sanaya smiled in front of nisha and said to her that she was fine now, yet she was upset. She was brave, but not that enough to confess her blunder in front of mohit. From that day until mohit came back, sanaya was extremely upset, and often thought of the ways to tell him about her engagement with jai.

Finally, when mohit was back, he called sanaya several times to talk, but out of fear, she didn't received his call. Mohit decided to sent her a text, and in that, he wrote-

"I know baby, tum mujhse bahut naraaz ho, kyunki main ek din late aaya, aur tumhari narazgi jaayaz hai. Lekin main bhi tumhe manaaye bina chhodne nahi waala. I've planned a surprise for you. Kal shaam sharp 7pm main tumhara beach par wait karunga. And I want you to be there on time. Agar ek minute bhi late hui, toh tumhara surprise cancel! Love you jaan….. take care.

Sirf tumhara……….. mohit.

Sanaya smiled slightly reading the message, but then, suddenly she bursted into tears, and fell on floor, thinking that how bad will mohit feel if he would know the truth. They both love each other so much, their love knows no boundaries, but now, time was testing their love. None of the both would have even imagined of such a horrible time in their love story. And after reading the message, sanaya had completely lost her courage to tell mohit about the engagement.
