Chapter 15
Nupur was staring at the rainfall, the smile from her lips was just not ready to leave ... Her eyes were glittering not with tears but with dreams, hopes and happiness ... She put her hand out of the window and felt the drops of rain on her hand - with the touch of every drop, the strings of her heart were being touched ... She had always loved rainfall but today, she was just loving it more and more - this rain was something different, it was endearing and probably the best rain ever in her life ... She turned to look at Dia who was peacefully sleeping, maybe meeting Benji in her dreams - Nupur chuckled at her thought process and again gazed at the rain and she immediately rushed towards her cupboard - pulled out Mayank's t-shirt and tracks which was still lying there ... She gazed at it and walked inside the washroom to change ... As she came out of the washroom, she blushed and hid her face in her palms ...
She walked towards Dia and placed a note saying she is out in the garden and slowly moved out to enjoy the rain ... Just like a kid she ran out with open arms to welcome the rain and the smile developed into a huge grin ... She let the rain come down and wash her mind of all the worries, all the negativities and just let her heart clear so she could understand her heart more ...
She slowly opened her eyes and got the answer to the questions roaming in her mind and dominating her heart for two months now - she saw Mayank standing in front of her, flashing his trademark smile - walking towards her ... He stood in front of her while she kept staring at him with a beautiful smile on her face and slowly tears came out of her eyes ... He gently touched her face and wiped those tears with his thumb, Nupur immediately lowered her eyes ... She suddenly looked at him when she felt his hand crawling over her waist, he smirked and pulled her close .... Her hands touched his chest and she blushed as he was wearing his vest ... He slowly bent near her ear while her heartbeats increased ...
Mayank (huskily) - Ek baat kahun?
Nupur - Hmm (was all she could say) ...
Mayank - Tum mere kapdon mein bahut pyaari lag rahi ho ...
She blushed; smiled and pushed him away but he held her wrist and slowly came near her ear while her heart was ready to leap out ....
Mayank - Ek aur baat kahun?
Nupur (shyly) - Kya?
He left her hand and softly husked ...
Mayank - Tumhe mujhse pyaar ho gaya hai ...
She immediately turned towards him but he was nowhere to be seen ... she twirled and swirled but he was nowhere ... Nupur's smile had no bounds as she giggled, laughed getting drenched in the rain ...
Nupur (hysterically) - I love you Mayank, yes I do and it feels fantastic!!
She jumped and enjoyed the every bit of the rain ... It was ironical how she always craved for love and now herself had fallen in love and she felt like being on the top of the world - She was no more scared because somehow she felt Mayank would be there for her always and maybe he too had some feelings for her ... maybe ... but she was firm that even he didn't, she would tell him what she feels and knew he would never ever hurt her ....
She ran inside the building, shivering and when she entered her room - she saw Dia standing there ... Dia gasped looking at Nupur while Nupur blushed and felt caught red-handed ... Dia smirked and as Nupur looked at Dia's face - she knew, Dia knew about her feelings and she just ran and hugged her tight ... Dia felt immense happiness seeing that indeed Nupur was in love with Mayank and just prayed that he too reciprocated the same feelings ... She would not be able to see this innocent soul - broken heart ....
