Love of life

Mayank and Nupur are childhood friends, since they were born, because of their parents. Their neighbors would always thought that they were couples since they would joke and hang-out each other. A kind of act like the boyfriend would always walk her girlfriend home, hold each others hands, and a girlfriend that would give her boyfriend a 'good night kiss'.

I'm late, I'm going to have detention later', Nupur thought as she run in the hallway.

I'm sorry Ms. Walia. I promise I will not be late again", She bowed down several times only to find out that her teacher hasn't arrive yet. All stares are on her.

Ehhh, I thought .. I'm going to be late", she blushed in embarrassment and walked in her place, besides Mayank, giving him a damn-you look.

He just smiled sweetly at her.

I told you to wake me up, but you didn't. Stupid!" you can tell that at that moment, Nupur is angry.

The whole day, Mayank is trying to apologize to Nupur, but she didn't pay any attention to him.

Nupur, forgive me. Please, I promise I will make it up to you.", It is the 1001x Mayank has said that. As he noticed that Nupur isn't paying any attention to him, he think of an idea.Ummm ... ummm, Yah. Let's eat to the new restaurant that just open. They said that the food tastes good there. We will also invite the others, it's my treat", Mayank proudly smiled for his brilliant idea. Sure that Nupur will not deny his offer.

She raised one of her brows. "Really?"

Nupur why are you such in hurry earlier? You know that Mr. Sehgel will be our teacher. We all know that he will not attend in his class, not until he his 20 minutes of late. It's because of the one stupid here who didn't wake me up and he also borrow my organize class schedule." she replied while eyeing on Mayank

I shouted your name to wake you up right at your window. But your so sleepy-headed enough for you not to hear it.", he defend. They are neighbors, their windows facing each other.

"Then you just admit that your stupid because I didn't say any name." she hummed. They all laugh, sure that Nupur is good in tricking others..

Haha, Mayank just admit it. You always lose to Nupur.", Benji said, laughing.

Hmmph!Mayank acted, turning his head to the side.

Gosh! Mayank, you acted like a gay! Ewww, Diya said while making a fake puke.

"It's your and Gunjan's fault."

Don't accused my girlfriend like that. Samrat blurted out. They nearly choked their foods.

When did the two of became couples? Nupur asked. The two just blushed..

It's good that we now have couple in our group. What about you and Mayank?", Diya joked around. Nupur just blushed.

Nupur's character can be all guy's dream girl. Kind, cute and responsible., Benji described Nupur.

Yah!, Gunjam agreed and all of them nodded in agreement.

Don't lie to her. Tell the truth." Mayank said to their friends.

He turned his head towards Nupur and said...

Nupur, your the most kind person I've ever met in my entire life, the most beautiful girl, and a caring person. Every guy's dream girl is all in you." He stated, his eyes are serious and full of love. As he holds onto Nupur's hands.

Is that a confession?" Samrat asked he ruined the moment.

Gunjan whacked his head.

Nupur is red as tomato right now.

Hmmm? Nupur was nervous. She never expected that Mayank will confess to her in a restaurant where there are many people.

MAYANK! YOU STUPID PIG-HEADED JERK!, she chased him over and over.

Haha.. It's the first time Mayank has tricked Nupur.

"Hmmph!", now Mayank make Nupur angry, again.

You really wished that it's really a confession, huh? he laughed at her cuteness. She blushed again.

S-Stupid! she quickened her pace.

He smiled. He really loves this girl. She makes his day complete with just one smile. He buy some roses nearby and chased after her.

" Nupur."

"WHAT??!!", she turned her head towards him.

"This.", he handed the roses to her. She accepted it with smile.

It's my first time to receive roses to you!, she smiled again.

I didn't said it's for you., her smile disappeared.

"Hmmph!", she throw the roses back to him and continue to walk. He laughed like crazy.

I'm just kidding. This is for you! he chased her and give back the roses.

I'm not going to accept it anymore.

Oh, come on. Accept it. Please., he begged.

"Fine!", she quickly grabbed the roses, not noticing that there is a sharp trunk.

"Ow~", there is blood dripping on her right hand.

Nupur, are you okay? How it is? Does it hurt so much?, he began to panicked.

Mayank. I'm alright, no need to panic that much., she slightly giggled. He blushed.

I'm going to find some first aid in the drug store. Stay here, alright?", she nodded.

'Damn Mayank. Where are you? It's been 30 minutes', she thought. She is in deep thought, not noticing where she is heading to.

There was a fast car heading to her direction. Mayank is walking out of the store. He noticed that there was a car heading to Nupur.

*BEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPPPPP*

Nupur, watch behind you!! Mayank shouted.

"NUPUR!"

He rushed to her. Blood is scattered everywhere. It was a hit and run accident.

They were crowded by many people. Some began to dialed for ambulance.

"M-Mayank", she weakly said.

"Nupur, don't speak to much. I Love You, please don't leave me.", he cried.

Those three words that she's been wanting to here by him.

She smiled weakly and slowly closing her eyes.

She is still holding those roses that where given by him.

Hearing those three words from him is the best thing that has happened in her life.

"Nupur, Nupur, Nupur.", those where the last words she heard before she fell unconscious.

The voice that she will surely miss. She loss hold to those roses.

How she wished that her life would still continue to tell those three words to him.

She wished to have more memories with her love ones.

Happy or even sad moments.

She just wished to be held by the man of his life.

She just wished to here those three words by him everyday.

"Doctor Armaan, please proceed to the emergency room. Doctor Armaan, please proceed to the emergency room", voice in the microphone, as they called the doctor to save her life.Doctors and Nurses began walking to the emergency room.As they reached to the room, they forbid to let Mayank to go inside.

"Sir, your not allowed to come inside. It is forbid to come inside the emergency room", one of the nurse forbid him.

"NO!!", he stubbornly said.

"Please, Sir. It's for the patient's safe." He stopped.

For his lover's sake, he would do anything to save her.

"Please...save.. her." he sobs silently.

"We will try our best, Sir.", she bowed down before closing the emergency room.

He punched the wall. It's all his fault, if he has just arrived earlier, none of these would happen.

Why is he so stupid? He has a chance to confess his feeling, but he didn't.

Now, he regret everything.

"AHHH!", he began punching the wall. He doesn't feel any pain.

The pain in is heart hurts most. His one and only life is inside the emergency room, unsure if she will live again.

Her parent and friends has arrived. They were all waiting for some news about Nupur on how her operation goes on.

Uday, Samrat and Benji has been comforting Mayank for half-hour. They has placed some cream on his swollen hands.

Gunjan and Diya began to cry. Samrat and Benji noticed this, so, they left Mayank with Uday for a while to comfort their girlfriends.

Yes, Benji and Diya has started dating. She was happy and excited to tell it to Nupur, but all her happiness turn to sadness when she had the phone call from Uday.

"Why does it have to happen?", Gunjan asked.

Samrat hugged her and patted her head. "Shh~ calm down. I'm here for you.

Who are the relatives of Ms. Nupur Bushan?", the doctor asked when the operation has finished.

Nupur has been in emergency room for 4 hours.

Mr. and Mrs. Bushan stand up. They first asked, "How is the condition of my daughter?".

Tears are forming from the corner of their eyes.

Well, for now, we still doesn't know when she will wake up. Her right ankle isn't in good condition. But there is possibility that bloods will form in her head due to the large affect of the car and I'm afraid to tell that this may cause of her death. You may visit her in her room, but please, keep your voices low because this may have bad effect from the patient's condition said Doctor Armaan.

They all began to cry. Even Mr. and Mrs. Sharma, because for them, Nupur is also part of their family.

They slowly entered the room.

"N-Nupur ..." Mayank is in state of shock.

Sobs can be heard in the room. Nupur's lifeless body is in a bed, with machines connecting into her body to extend her life.

He took hold of her hand, like he never wanted to let go. "Nupur, please. Don't leave me."

After few hours. They all went home to get some clothes and buy foods, but Mayank refused to go with them.

Mr. and Mrs. Bushan were in the Doctor's office to discuss something.

"Nupur ... am i too late?" Mayank asks Nupur while sobbing.

A small smile appeared on Nupur's face.

"No, Mayank. You're not too late."

This voice that he misses so much. The voice that he thought he will never hear again.

"Nupur...?", Mayank said weakly. He was happy that she was finally awake.

She looks pale, weak, like she didn't eat for how many weeks.

Her small, cute, happy lips turned slightly gray-ish.

Mayank could you please do me a favor...for the last time? she weakly asked.

"Mayank I Love You", she whispered. She already said what she wanted to said.

"Nupur I Love You", said Mayank with teary eyes.

"Nupur .. will you marry me?", Mayank asks all of a sudden.

Nupur's weak body is besides Mayank. A small pout appeared on her face.

"Awww .. where's the ring?"

Stupid me, I'm proposing without a ring.

"Mayank...I want to take a nap...could you please sing for me?", she whispered.

He hummed her favorite song with tears forming in his eyes.

The next day, Mayank visited Nupur in her room since there is no class. He was planning to asks her to be his prom partner.

He bought Nupur's favorite roses. He remembered the first time he gave her roses, her eyes is full of happiness. He smiled.

But what he only see is ...

A clean room.

There were no person.

There is no sight of her.

There is only a letter.

'Remember, I'm always here for you. Loving you with all my heart - Nupur"

She left me. He thought.

His heart is now bleeding in pain.

For this past 2 days that Nupur's presence is gone, is like he lost his life.

Losing his one love means, losing his life.

He remembered those times they are teasing each other, when Nupur is mad at him, when she pouted when she doesn't like it, her smile, and most importantly, her love.

He said he will protect her forever, but he failed.

He was now regretting everything.

He decided to walk on Nupur's favorite beach.

He was humming Nupur's favorite song, the one she will request him to sing in the phone.

He sat in the sand.

He remembered when they were young, they used to play here.

They would splash water to each other.

A single tear fall from his eyes.

"Nupur, I miss you", he whispered.

Far behind Mayank:

"Where is he?", a girl asked.

"There he is", Samrat pointed to Mayank who is sitting in the sand.

We are trying to call him but he is not answering. We are also trying to go to his house but he refused to see anyone, Gunjan said.

"Stay there", the girl told them. They all nodded.

She was walking behind Maynak silently.

"Nupur, I miss you", Mayank whispered.

She smiled to herself.

'Silly, you really thought that I'm dead. Stupid', she thought

"I .. Love You"

She smiled wider. Those three words, she heard it again.

She walked closely to him. Whispered closely to his ear.

"I Love You, too" She whispered and smile.

'Nupur?', he was so happy to hear her voice.

He turned his head to the side. There he met Nupur's lips.

They kissed for 10 seconds until Nupur pulled away.

"You kiss stoler", Nupur hit his arm playfully.

"Nupur?", he was so shocked but he was also happy. "Your alive?"

"I prank you again, but at least, you finally confessed your feelings", she smiled proudly.

"Nupur", he hugged her. He missed her so much.

A day without her is like he was living in hell.

"Stupid of you. You really want me to die. Idiot, freak-", she was shut up by Mayank's lips on her.

It was a passionate kiss.

"You really want to stole kisses. I really hate you", she turn her head to the side and walked away.

"NUPUR, I LOVE YOU!", he shouted really, really loud.

People around them began to cheer.

She stopped. She smiled.

"Well?", she faced him. Raising one of her eyebrow,

"CONFESSION", Samrat and Gunjan shouted..

"Ms Nupur Bushan", he was approaching her. He knelt to the ground with one knee.

"PROPOSAL! WOOOHHH!", the crowd is cheering. Only few man in the world who will propose with many people surrounding them.

"Will you marry this idiot, freak, stupid guy in front of you?", he asked.

"YESS!! SAY YESS"

She chuckled. It was the most romantic proposal for her.

"Of course", she answered.

Mayank put the ring on her finger and spun her around.

"Mayank put me down", she was laughing.

Now, his life is complete.

He have the love of his life that he will cherish forever.

Confess your love when she is still with you,
