Dear Sumi,

Yup, Geeta is in India and lets see what she and Radha get up to.

Sasha is nice, I think it is guilt and sadness that she feels. She doesn't know that Maan knows where Geet is. Lets see if she will ever find out.

Geeta is very intuitive, she has her mother and her father in her, it was her mother's kindness that made her feel the sadness in the apartment.

Geeta is like her mom, she feels everyones pain and shares her joys with everyone. She felt Maan's sadness right away.

Welcome back, how are you all today? Lets see I am doing amazing.

Loved today's episode. I told you all Pari would live up to her name, I apologize to her that I ever doubted her. But I was right, she was wonderful today, Maan is so gullible, you just have to tell him that he is scared and he jumps in to prove you wrong. First Geet (when she told him that he was scared to eat a dhaba) and now Pari. I wonder who will be the next to trap him with that trick. 🤣

Geet looked beautiful in the Sari. I hope Maan looses his anger and realizes the love for him in her eyes. The Taveez is back, Geet listen to its message don't go against it. Tell him everything. If he truly loves you he will support you, if not he wasn't worth all those tears you shed. I know I am being harsh, but we women need to stick together. Girl Power!!!!!!!! 😊

I hope he doesn't see the engagement to her as a business deal but as a way for him to be close to his love. That being said lets, move on to the FF.

Okay we have some more new viewers, see people it is working, the numbers are increasing, just keep on spreading the word. Also what is up with some of you not commenting. Hello!!! wake up and share your opinions.

I am guessing some of you are wondering why I turned Sasha into a positive character, you all will find out soon, but in the mean time I want to say that 19 years ago Maneet had enough enemies trying to pull them apart and some of them succeeded, I think they have waited long enough, now it is time for everyone to bring them together, so no more evil people other than Dev and NT.

Also remember to keep on guessing what the spoiler is about. You maybe right. Lallulal was right about the person but wrong about the situation. But well done. 👏

Also the update is really late today because my husband needed to use the computer. It seems that I need to buy another computer to continue my Geet and IF addiction. So you all can blame him for making you wait. Well the wait is now over. I hope you all enjoy it.

Part 20


Another hot day in June, the weather forecasters had predicted that the temperatures were going to near 43 degrees Celsius. The day had just begun and the heat was already cumbersome to bare, even the air-conditioning in the office wasn't helping. Looking at the sky she she prayed for some relief, she looked for any clouds but always she was disappointed, she couldn't spot a single one. Monsoons were still months away, she decided to focus on work to keep her mind away from the heat.

As she focused on the blue prints, the face of the young girl she had seen in the Halwai's shop flashed in front of her. Sasha couldn't believe how much like Geet, the girl looked, in fact she looked exactly like Geet, except she was much taller. The girl had given given Sasha a new hope and a kick in the behind to once again look for Geet. It had been almost 19 years since Geet had disappeared, almost 19 years since she had seen Maan happy.

Everyone in the company had found happiness, Pinky and Adi were happily married, Tasha had met someone too and had settled there, Sasha herself had met Abhi at a conference and something she never believed in had happened; love at first sight. However, it seemed that Maan happiness train had left the station along time ago. It had been worse because even though Maan and her had never been close they had been childhood friends, yet once Geet left their friendship too had seemed to evaporate into thin air, he was still civil and friendly with her, but never shared anything with her, 'why would he' she though after all that she had done to Geet.

She wondered if looking for Geet was a good idea, she was certain that Geet had probably found someone and married. She however decided not to think negative thoughts and decided to first focus on the past. She needed to find out what exactly had brought Geet to Delhi before she could find what had happened to her in the future.

Her dad who had been the main accountant for the Khurana family had retired however he still visited Dadima every now and then and went over the books to give keep her mind at rest, she never trusted the new accountant although he was perfectly capable of performing all the accounting details with perfection after all he had been trained by her dad himself.

Sasha decided that her dad was the perfect stepping stone in her finding Geet. She called him,

Munshiji, "Hello, beta. It's been a while, how are you?"

Sasha, "I am fine, papa. Sorry I should call you more often, but work had been crazy and Abhi and the kids have been keeping me busy at home. How are you?"

Munshiji, "I am fine, just visiting the Khurana house. Savitriji wanted me to go over the books." he chuckled.

Sasha, "Well, papa; you are the best accountant I know, so I am not surprised that you are where you are."

Sasha suddenly heard a voice in the background. It seemed that Dadima was talking to her father. He seemed to have informed her that he was on the phone with Sasha and he promptly returned to the conversation.

Munshiji, "Beta, that was Savitriji. When she heard I was on the phone with you she asked me to invite you over since she hasn't seen you in a while."

Sasha, "That is really nice of her, what time should I come over?"

Munshiji, "Around 4pm would be okay."

Sasha, "I don't know, the kids don't have anyone to look after them at that time. Maybe I will visit her another time"

Munshiji, "Why don't you bring the kids with you, I am sure they will be okay playing with Vicky's children., after all they are all the same age."

Sasha, "Okay, see you at 4pm"

She finished her conversation and remembered that she had forgotten to talk to her dad about the reason she had called in the first place. She decided she would talk to him about Geet face to face.

On the other side of town, Geeta and Radha both couldn't believe exactly how hot it was, while growing up Geeta had thought the hot and humid summers of NYC were bad, but this hell. How did people survive here, in only a few days she felt she had turned into a prune, she could feel her youth draining away. There was so much they wanted to do, but the heat just didn't allow it. They needed to get out of Delhi, else the entire month would pass with them just sitting in their apartment.

Geeta turned to Radha and said, "Let's get out of Delhi, we should go somewhere cool. Maybe take a roadtrip. What do you think?"

Radha, "Sounds fun, let me make a list of all the things we need to do to go on the road trip and a list of places we can go to. I already know that we will need a car, you think you can arrange for that?"

Geeta, "Most definately, leave it to Geeta." she said referring to her in the third person. She decided that the best person to call would be her Adi Mausa. She dialed his number.

Adi was in a meeting with some clients along with Maan. When his phone rang she got distracted and got the most annoyed look from Maan. Although best friends, Adi still felt a little jolt of fear run through his body. Maan was very particular about how business needed to be conducted.

Adi still recalled the days when he was just a regular employee and how Maan had the worst effect on him. He remembered how he used to laugh when he stressed, thankfully that phase had passed. He rejected the call without looking who was calling.

In another 5 minutes the meeting was completed and once they had finished all the formal goodbyes with the clients he noticed there was a message. He dialed his voicemail and heard Geeta's voice on the other end, once hearing who it was, he paused the message and walked into Maan's office.

Maan was busy looking over some files and when he noticed Adi standing in the office he gave him the most displeased look. Adi knew it had to do with the disruption during the meeting, but he was not going to let Maan ruin a good moment. He wasn't sure why Geeta had called him, but he was certain that Maan would want to hear the message. Adi smiled, seeing Adi smile Maan looked at him questioningly. Adi placed his phone on the desk and turned on the speaker, he then played the message.

Geeta, "Hello Adi Mausa, I wanted to talk to you. I guess you are busy, could you please call me when you get some time. Actually the sooner the better. Okay, bye."

Maan looked at Adi and asked him nicely to call Geeta and see what she needs. Adi dialed Geeta's number and once again had the phone on speaker. Maan waited in anticipation, he held his breath, it had been almost a year since he had heard her voice.

Geeta, "Hello."

Adi, "Geeta beta, it's Adi Mausa, just heard your message. If everything okay?"

Geeta, "Yeah! Everything is good, it's the weather that is getting to us. It is so hot here, how do you all survive? Anyways, Radha and I were thinking that since we came early to explore India, it would be nice to go on a road trip to get away from the heat. Radha is looking at what we will need and where we are going to go, my job is to get us a car. And I thought who better to call than you."

Adi, "Are you sure you want to go on a road trip? You are new here and I am not sure if you girls should be driving around India. You know, you can fly where ever you want to go." he looked at Maan who nodded in agreement. It was crazy for two girls who had never been to India to go on a road trip.

Geeta, "Come on Adi Mausa, we are not little babies, we can handle ourselves. Now a days we have technology that garuntees that we wont get lost, as for security, Punjaban hou main, kiski mazaal hain meere saath panga lei." she laughed.

Adi looked at Maan; he was starting to show concern. Adi wanted to make sure that before he agrees to get Geeta a car, he and Maan could figure out how to let her do what ever she wanted all the while making sure that she was safe.

Adi, "Well beta, I need to think about it and talk it over with Pinky Masi before I say yes to anything. I don't want your mother coming after me."

Geeta, "Okay, whatever you decide let me know soon. We want to leave as soon as possible."

Adi, "Okay, talk to you soon."

Adi turned to Maan, "What do you want to do, she seems adamant about this road trip. I don't think we can stop her, we just need to figure out how to keep those two girls safe."

Maan, "You are right, but before we do anything we need to let Geet know that Geeta wants to go on a road trip."

Maan calls Geet, "Geet, hi. Sorry to bother you but our daughter just called Adi asking for a car, she wants to go on a roadtrip. I wonder where she gets crazy ideas like this from? How the hell am I supposed to keep her safe if she wants to run around all over India? Oh and Adi is right here, we thought we would discuss with you what we need to do"

Geet, "Hello both of you, and I am glad you called. I think she gets the crazy idea from me, we went on a road trip this summer. Also I don't think you are going to be able to stop her, she is stubborn just like her dad, so I was thinking maybe you should let her go and her to call you after every 120 miles and also if she stops anywhere. This way she wont feel you are breathing down her neck. Also make sure before she leaves you check her itinerary to make sure she has hotels booked, I know it is a road trip so nothing is set in stone, but I think this is the best way to keep an eye on the girls." she paused, "let them go, they need to learn how to be responsible for themselves and now is just a good time as ever."

Maan couldn't believe what he was hearing, the same woman who called him a million times before Geeta got to Delhi was telling him to let her go on a road trip, " No, we shouldn't let them go, it is not safe. Are you crazy? How can you suggest that we let her go?"

Geet, "She is like you, once she decides on something she is going to do it. Would you rather go to a car rental place and rent a car and leave without telling anyone? or would you prefer to have her in one of your cars and have her touching base with Adi on regular intervals? The choice is yours."

Maan, "okay, okay, why you always drag my name in when she is being difficult?"

Geet could hear Adi laughing in the background "Adi, there is no need for you to laugh, and we all know who the good one is, don't we?

Adi stepped in, "Okay, that is enough you both are not kids that you guys are fighting like them. Grow up and focus on the issue at hand. Let's go with Geet's plan and Maan you can have some of our security people check on the girls when they get to their hotels in the different cities. They are good kids so we should trust them a little. Is that fine with the two of you?" he sounded very authoritative, quite a surprise for both Maan and Geet.

Maan and Geet both in unison, "That sounds fine."


Adi, "Great, now that it has been decided, I am going to call my niece with the good news, the two of you can continue fighting." He gave Maan a crooked smile and left.

Maan, "What got into him? I have never heard him yell before."

Geet, "I don't know, but he was right."

Maan and Geet continued to talk, Geet gave him a list of things that Geeta wanted chaged in the apartment and he told her to tell Geeta that all the work would be done while she was away so that she wasn't inconvenienced. Geet knew that she would be receiving a call from Geeta soon regarding Geeta's plans for a road trip. She decided to end the call with Maan so that she was available for Geeta. They bid each other goodbye and the day continued.

Adi had called Geeta and informed her that he was ready to provide a car for the road trip but there were some conditions attached to that and she would only get the car if she agreed to follow the conditions. Geeta agreed and was told that the car would have most provisions that the girls would need on their road trip and that she had to provide a detailed itinerary and promise to call after driving every 120 miles and also call when she gets to the hotel every evening. Geeta didn't think that the terms were unreasonable and was more than happy to abide by them.

Once done with the call with Adi Mausa, Geeta informed Radha who had already planned their itinerary that they had a car. The girls packed and decided to go visit Pinky, truth be told they were hungry and were feeling a little lazy, they really didn't feel like slaving over the stove that too in the heat. They got to Pinky's house, ate and told her all about their trip.

The day passed by real fast, in the evening the car had arrived, it was parked in the garage. The girls decided to take their bags to the car so that they wouldn't have to worry about them in the morning. When they opened the trunk they found, safety flares, torches, a gas stove, a tent, sleeping bags, and a few other things. The were confused, Geeta was sure she had told her Adi Mausa that they were going to stay in hotels, she didn't understand what all the camping gear was for, 'but hey you never know' she thought. The girls put their belongings in the trunk and finished their day with a nice dinner that they had ordered from the restaurant down the street.
