Sajan patch up. Nupur finds out what is wrong with mayank.

PART 15:

Mayu stood infront of nupur shocked. He didn't know what to say. He was looking at the newspaper clip. Nupur was watching his expressions changes.

M: tum yeh paper mujhe kyu dikha rahi ho??

N: yeh paper dekh ke tumhe kuch yaad nahi aa raha??

M: nahi...kuch bhi toh khaas nahi iss article mein...

N: meri taraf dekho mayank...meri aankho mein dekhke bolo tum theek ho??

M: nupur main sach mein theek hu...tumne yeh interrogation kyu kar rahi ho?? Lets just start studing...batao tumne kitne sums solve kiye??

Saying this he went to see nupur's book but nupur didn't move from her place.

N: tumhe constantly cough aata hai...tumhe fever aata jaata rehta hai...tum kabhi bhi shiver karne lagte hai...tumne atleast 5 kg loose kiye hai...tumne chest x-ray nikalwaya...aunty ki aankho mein hamesha aansu aa jaate hai...tumne mujhse jhagda kiya taaki main tumse dur ho jao aur tum akele reh sako...aur jab yeh article publish hua tha paper mein tum bhi uske aas-paas hi bimaar padhe the...tum AKT kit use karte ho...kya ab bhi tum mujhko sach nahi batoage????nahi bataoge ki tumhe...

(For those who don't know AKT kit is used in treatment of TB. It contains anti-tuburcular drugs. Nupur had found these medicines on internet and mayank's drawer. The paper that nupur had bought was an article stating that multiple drug resisitant tuberculosis cases are rising in Mumbai.)

N: tumhe lagaa ki main yeh sach jaanke tumse hamdardi karugi?? Tumse aise dur jaogi jaise ki tum untouchable ho?? Infection ke darr se tumhe akela chod deti?? Tumne aisa socha bhi kaise mayank?? Kya tumhe iss dost pe bharosa nahi??hamari dosti pe bharosa nahi??

Mayu looked at her in aww. Here he thought that she would think something wrong about him and run away from his life on knowing the truth. So he himself tried to stay away from her.

M: Mujhse dur chali jao nupur...main nahi chahta yeh virus tumhe bhi infect kare...agar meri wajah se tumhe infection ho gaya toh main khud ko kabhi maaf nahi kar paoga nupur...aur yeh virus koi normal TB ka nahi hai...yeh virus itna resistant hai ki jaldi se koi dawaai kaam nahi kar rahi...meri wajah se aur bhi koi iss number mein shaamil nahi hona chahiye...khaas kar mera koi dost...isiliye maine college se bhi leave le li par tumhe dur nahi rakh paaya...tum jaanti ho maa itni udaas kyu hai???kyunki issi TB ki wajah se maine apne papa ko khoya tha...

Nupur looked at him shocked.

M: haa nupur...unhone apni health pe zyaada dhyaan nahi diya...uss samay TB ke liye itne drugs bhi available nahi the...ek shaam main aur papa saath aa rahe the aur raaste mein hi papa ne cough kar karke apna dum nikaal diya...main tabhi sirf 3 years ka tha...jab maa ko pata chala ki mujhe TB hai unhe lagaa shayad woh mujhe bhi kho degi...woh bahut emotional daur se guzar rahi hai...aur iss beech main tumhe kya batata??? Jaise hi logo ko pata chalega ki mujhe TB hai sab mujhse dur bhaag jaayege...isse toh better hai ki main hi dusro se dur rahu...

N: mujhe koi farak nahi padta ki tumhaare paas koi rehta ya chale jaata...par nupur hamesha tumhaare saath rahegi mayank...mujhe koi darr nahi ki mujhe infection hoga...mere liye tumhaari dosti zyaada important hai...aur koi TB ya koi bimaari humaari dosti se badhkar nahi hai...tum mere sabse ache dost the...ho aur rahoge...tum mujhe khud se dur nahi kar sakte..

Nupur started crying saying this. Mayu held her hand. She hugged him and cried more. Some tears formed even in mayank's eyes. He never cried for himself and today he found someone who cried for him. He felt good after venting out everything finally. He felt good that someone truly cared for him so much. He could never let go of such a friend. He hugged her tightly.

After sometime they broke the hug. Mayu wiped away her tears.

M: bimaar main hu aur ro tum rahi ho...

N: ab tum itne patthar ho toh koi insaan kya kare...koi toh chahiye na iss patthar pe aansu bahane...

M: you know what...i am very lucky to have friend like you..

Nupur smiled at him.

N: sirf main nahi...ek aur friend hai tumhaare paas..

M(confused): kaun??

N: yeh (showing him the mickey he gave her)

M: yeh toh tumhaara dost hai...mujhse dosti nahi karega..

N(singing): jo tera hai woh mera hai jo mera hai woh tera...soo mera har dost tumhaara...isliye aaj se mickey bhi tumhara dost...but khabardar tumne isse sadu-akdu behave kiya...main mere dost ko bhagaa le jaogi...

N(to mickey): dekho mickey...tumhara yeh dost thoda sadu-akdu hai...agar yeh tumse gandaa behave kare toh bura mat maan-na...yeh dil ka bahut acha hai...aur agar yeh tumhe pareshaan kare toh mujhe bataa dena...aisi khabar lungi iski..

M: par yeh complain kaise karega??

N: arrey...main roz aaogi na isse milne...tab yeh bata dega mujhe...aur jab main nahi rahugi tab koi aur rasta dhundh lugi...kyu mickey??(winking at the mickey)

Mayu smiled looking at her childishness.

M: nupur...i am sorry...

Nupur looked at him confused.

M: jo bhi hua uske liye...for everything.

N: jao bachaa...tum bhi yaad rakhoge...iss jhansi ki rani nupurkumari ne tumhe maaf kiya...shayad tumhaari jagah main hoti toh main bhi nahi batati...its ok

M: thanks..

Mayus mom entered.

MM: kis baat ke liye sorry aur thanks bol raha hai mera bachcha?

M: mom...nupur ko sab pata chal gaya...

Mayu's mom looked at him shocked. Nupur gave her an 'its ok...don't worry' expression. Mayu's mom was happy that inspite of knowing the truth she did not leave him. She knew mayu had finally found a true friend.

Few days passed by. Mayur's friendship was stronger. Nupur never mentioned much about mayu's illness as she knew he didn't want to discuss much about it. She didn't even tell about this to gunjan as she felt mayu didn't want others to come to know about this. She continued taking notes in class sincerely hoping that mayu may not have done atleast one chapter. Mayank was impressed with nupur's grasping power. She understood concepts very well and came up with some intelligent doubts which mayu always found challenging.

Sam saw the growing closeness between mayur. He was happy finally mayu had found a friend. He was liking the change in mayank. Mayank used to smile more now and was getting better. On the other hand Sajan relation was also changing. They spent most of their time in cafe as sam didn't want others to put him in 'padhaku' category. This reason used to piss gunjan but she was happy that atleast he is studing. Their friendship too grew stronger. Gunjan had started opening up. She had started trusting samrat. Nupur was observing that growing relation between Sajan. She was happy that things were sorted between them and now they always help each other. For once she can reduce her worries about gunjan she felt.

Sheena was very jealous with mayur bonding. Her mom always pushed her to be near mayank. For this her mom had even told mayus mom that sheena will join mayur in studing. However sheena could not study with them...actually she could not even study alone. Study was not something she could indulge into. Hence she avoided studing with them. She always told her mom she knows ways to break mayur's friendship and she will make sure no girl gets close to mayank. She was just waiting for right time and opportunity.

ONE DAY COLLEGE CORRIDOR:

Nupur was sitting on the stairs and reading. Sheena-rv came there. RV still remembered the embarrasment he had faced in fresher's party because of nupur. After looking at her sitting alone today the memories came back and he wanted to hurt her. He passed an evil smile to sheena. Sheena smiled back at him understanding its time for some fun.
