Sanraj story continues from the

Part 18 Suraj First Day at School, Santu rushed to hospital

and here goes.................

DM's pulse is racing looking at Santu's pale face, keeping calm, DM goes into auto pilot, picks Santu up in his arms and tells Suraj to come and get into the car. Suraj is clutching on to his book bag with tears in his eyes and still wailing at the sight of his Maa in such a state wishing she would wake up and pretend she was playing a trick on him and Pappa? Mrs Walia, Suraj's teacher sees all this and runs over to assist with Suraj. She helps Suraj into the front of car and tells DM she will contact his family and direct them to the hospital. DM gets into the back of the car with Santu still in his arms and shouts at the Driver to drive as fast as he can to Dharampur Hospital. DM strokes Santu's hair thinking what happened, what was wrong? 😔 Santu just clutches on to DM.

DM: Ey mere dufford uttjah! sabb ticke hoygi, meih teri satt heh! (my dufford wake up, everything will be ok, I am with you!)

DM gets out of the car and tells the Driver to bring Suraj and look after him. DM rushes into the hospital and shouts to the Nurse at the desk for help. The Nurse runs over and tells DM to bring Santu into the room, a Dr comes in and sees DM.

Dr Kalpana: Mr Mahiyavanshi?

DM: Dr Kalpana, mere Patni, her health is not well, all of a sudden she fainted, please check and see whats wrong and help her! 😒

Dr Kalpana: Mr Mahiyavanshi don't worry, I will see to your wife right away, please wait outside.

DM looks from Doctor to Santu, kisses and strokes Santu's head and tells her he will be right outside, not to be scared. The Nurse walks DM out the room and shuts the door. DM is just standing outside the door in shock, whats wrong? Suraj lets go of the Drivers hand and comes running to DM.

Suraj: Pappa! 😭

DM: Suraj, ajjah!

DM lifts Suraj up who wraps his little arms around DM's neck and buries his face soaking the collar on his kurta with his flowing tears. DM squeezes Suraj stroking his little boys head comforting him the way he always does when Suraj is frightened and scared.

Suraj: Pappa, where is Maa? Whats wrong with Maa, Maa hurt?

DM: Maa is with the Dr, she is not feeling well and the Dr is going to give her medicines to get better, ronna bhon, Maa tabiyat ticke hoygi! (stop crying, Maa health will be ok!)

Baa: Dharamraj! Whats wrong, wheres Santu?

Bapuji: Beta Kya huwa?

Baa, Bapuji, Khaddank, Hiral and Champa come rushing through the corridor. DM stood there with Suraj in his arms looking at his family coming towards him not knowing what to tell them as he himself does not know. Khaddu takes Suraj from DM and keeps him in her arms calming her little brother down 🤗

Hiten: Pappa, we got a call from Suraj's teacher saying Maa collapsed? Whats happened?

Baa: Dharamraj kuch bhatta? (say something)

DM: Drs are with Santu in that room, they are checking her, I don't know whats wrong with Santudi, she was walking with Suraj and she became dizzy and fainted and I couldn't do anything

Baa could see DM's worried lines visible on his forehead and his tensed neck pacing outside the door waiting for it to open so that he could rush in.

Baa: Sabb ticke hoygi, Gauriama is always with us and she will protect our Santu, everything will be ok, come sit with me.

Baa pulls DM to come and sit next to her. Shashank is hugging Khaddu and wiping Suraj's tears.

DM: This is my fault, I knew there was something wrong with Santudi this morning, she didn't look well, Santudi asked me to go to school with her today, Suraj's first day but I was too busy with work which could have waited. DM getting angry at himself 😡

Thoral: Pappa, Sassumaa will be ok, please don't take tension its not your fault, we all should have taken more care, Santu always knows when we are sick but Santu never shows us when she is not feeling well, she never stops working, everything will be ok! 😊

The door handles turns and makes a squeak, everyone turns their heads towards the noise and focuses on it and Dr Kalpona walks out with no expression on her face just searching for DM. DM releases Baa's embrace and rushes to the Dr, holds her on her shoulders and asks...... 😲

DM: Is my Santudi ok, whats wrong, what happened to her?

Dr: Your Patni was dehydrated, tired and very weak but this is all normal in her condition.

DM: What condition? 😕

Dr: Congratulations Mr Mahiyavanshi, your wife is expecting.

DM: Expecting? Is this true? 😊

Dr: Your wife is 3 months pregnant, she is very weak so I have put her on a drip, she needs bed rest, a lot of care and makes sure she eats and drinks on time, other than that your wife is fine and your baby is growing healthily, once Santuji wakes up, you may take her home. Please fill out the forms and before she is discharged, I will do a final check up.

DM shakes the Dr's hands and thanks her and will never forget her help and that he is grateful to her and staff for looking after his wife and giving him such happy news 😃DM walks into the room, Santu is sleeping, sits down on the bed next to her and just looks at her with teary eyes 😭 and then puts his hand on Santu's stomach. He looks over at Santu's arm and see the drip and needle attached to Santu's arm, he has a flashback of Santu being scared of needles after their car accident on the way to Meghna's house when the Dr gave her a tetanus injection, she grabbed on to his arm tightly in fright and in pain with tears in her eyes DM leans down and kisses Santu on the forehead. Baa and Bapuji walk in, Baa has a smile spread across her face and she is clutching her hands together looking up and being thankful for protecting Santu and for giving SANRAJ such wonderful news and such a lovely gift being a symbol of their love, news that they have all been waiting and wishing for, Bapuji puts his arm round Baa's shoulder and shows his happiness that finally his daughter has her own happiness and that this experience she truly deserves which was nearly snatched away from her, finally good won against evil! Hiral and Khaddank also follow happy and congratulating eachother 😛

Bapuji: We are going to be Nana and Nani again, are you ready?

Baa: I'm always ready, what about you? Now you will have no excuse, this child will have you running, just you wait and watch! My little spy, mastermind! Just like its parents! Baa laughing! 😆

Thoral: Are we going to be gifted with a mini DM or a mini pyari Santu? I love children, I want 6, 3 boys and 3 girls! I have all their names picked out, Kiran, Omi.... 😍

Hiten: KYA! 6? ARE YOU MAD! And whose going to look after these children? 😲

Thoral: You or Khon? This is 2010, Hiten I will not spare you, you will be on my beck and call 24/7 just like Pappa will be for Sassuma! Kya Hiten, you could learn alot from Pappa, just watch he will be taking care of Sassuma! I am really happy for Santu and Pappa and we shall celebrate once Santu comes home and is 100% 🥳

Hiten: Thoral party, party, party? Ma needs to rest.

Thoral: Kyu, this is good news and why not a party, this is special becoming a Maa so for Santu we will celebrate, what say Baa?

Baa: Pucka, we will celebrate once Santu is well enough!

Thoral clapping her hands and giving Hiten told you so look and Hiten rolling his eyes, this girl?

Dr: Ok everyone, please can you leave Santuji to sleep, she needs her rest so not to wake her. I have made a list of the medicines required so if you would order those from the pharmacist.

Hiten: Dr give it to me, I will get everything on the list.

DM: Dr Kalpana, I'd like to stay here until Santudi wakes up, this is my request.

Dr: OK but everyone else if you'd be kind enough to go home its policy for not everyone to stay here but just within visiting times and Santuji is ok now.

Everyone leaves congratulating DM, Baa blows SANRAJ a kiss before leaving. DM sits on the chair holding Santu's hand and once everyone leaves, Santu moves her head and opens her eyes looking around and seeing DM sitting next to her with a smile on his face 😊

Santu: Malik?
