Walking through the corridors of Excel, Samrat's memories came back to Mayank's mind. Excel was that place where the two had met...the college had been the witness of their laughs together, of their care for each other, of the secrets the two shared with no-one else but each other, of the undefinable yet eternal bond between the two. Even though Mayank was completely carefree and had an all-kool attitude towards life and girls, he was way more focused on studies than Samrat was. At times, Mayank used to get way too irritated by the extraordinarily carefree attitude of Samrat towards life and love to which Samrat had always replied:"Dude!!!Yehi toh enjoy karne k din hain..."Moving his finger on his forehead from left to right, he used to say:"Ye...destiny!!Isse toh koi nahi badal sakta...Excel k gate k baher zindagi kaisi hogi ye kisse pata hai?Main yeh toh nahi jaanta k aage meri life main kia hai but trust me!!Agar kal meri life miserable hoyi naa...toh in dino ki yaadein mere face pe smile de jayeingi...aur raha sawaal love ka...toh wo...miss.perfect jis din mil gayi naa...us din tumhara ye dost sudhar jayega..."And Mayank and Samrat always ended up smiling...
Mayank couldn't help the tear that ran down his cheek...how strange life can take harsh turns and change a person's life?!!Even though, Samrat behaved like a kid, there was an unexplainable depth in his words...a maturity that had always surprised Mayank...how he missed Samrat ever since the two had lost touch..He remembered the day of their farewell/graduation ceremony...the two friends had different ways of saying goodbye to each other...while Mayank hugged him tightly and tried making least eye-contact with him, Samrat spoke confidently...successfully hiding the pain of parting he felt:"Mayank...ek baat hamesha yaad rakhna...life mein choices karte waqt agar confusion ho toh just remember that making the right choice isn't as important as is making a choice...one way or the other the rightness will show up!!!And haan...ab emotional ho k ye mat kehna k tumhein meri fikar hogi...meri fikar karne k liye chashmish hai na...trust me!!!Mayank Sharma ka female version hai wo...."And Mayank had ended up laughing....

Coming back to present, Mayank found himself laughing at those words all over again and then the truth of present brought tears to his eyes. A soft hand touched his shoulder, he turned around to find Nupur who gave him a sorry look and said:"Principal se milne chalein?"

Mayank nodded and the two headed towards the principal's room.

The principal showed immense pleasure in meeting his brilliant ex-student. He spoke proudly about SaYank friendship and when Mayank explained to him the problem, he was keen to help them out. Unfortunately, Samrat was no longer found at the old address in the college records. After about half an hour of thoughtful conversation the principal seemed to lose hope...

Principal:"Pata nahi Mayank...ab toh kaafi arsa guzar chuka hai...I don't think ab tum usse dhoond paoge..."

M:"Nahi sir....mujhe pata hai k wo Shimla mein hi hai.."

N:"Ye tum itna confindently kaise keh sakte ho Mayank?"

M:"Kyunki Samrat k liye Shimla mein Gunjan ki yaadein basti hai....wo kabhi un yaadon se nahi bhaage ga...par Pari?"

N:"Pari toh Samrat k parents k saath US mein hai..."

M:"Phir toh pakka Samrat Shimla mein hi hai...wo Pari se dur bhaage ga kyunki usse lagta hai k Pari ne uski Gunjan ko us se dur kia...aur Gunjan ki yaad usse Shimla se dur nahi jaane degi...hai na?"

N:"Chalo maana k Samrat Shimla mein hai...par usse dhoonde kaise?"

Mayank said in a moment:"Reunioun!!!"

Principal:"Reunion?You mean Excel mein ex-students ka reunion..???Are you sure?"

M:"Umeed poori hai sir....par is k liye humein aap ki help chahye...aap humari help kareinge naa sir?"

Principal smiled:"Haan..."

M:"Thank you sir...thank you very much..."

Mayank knew there were alot of chances of Samrat coming...but then there was always an uncertainty that he might not turn up...he so wished things all went right now....

Late at night, sitting on her bed, Nupur took Gunjan's frame in her hand and said:"Hum tere Samrat ko bohat jald dhoond lenge.."

She was so occupied in her own thoughts that she didn't realize when Mayank entered her room and stood silently behind her listening to her talk...Nupur continued:"Bas!!Mujhe fikar hai toh Mayank ki....main usse aise nahi dekh sakti Gunjan....wo bohat tensed hai....kaash Mayank yahan naa aaya hota toh usse itna dard na hota....sab meri galati hai....main uski aankhon mein aansu nahi dekh sakti.."

Mayank smiled at her words....her care, innocence...he said:"Main bhi apni Nupur ko itna tensed nahi dekh sakta..."

Nupur turned around in shock and got up from bed. Mayank walked towards her and taking Gunjan's frame from her hands said:"Gunjan...apni behen se kaho k sab ki fikar karne k chakar mein madam apni fikar toh kareingi nahi...toh kisi ko toh un k baare mein bhi sochna hoga naa??!!"

N:"Mayank tum ye kia..?"

M:"Tumne khaana khaaya?"

Nupur looked down and nodded innocently. Without looking up she said:"Tumne bhi toh nahi khaaya.."

Mayank said in a little higher tone:"Nupur...agar main nahi khaaonga..toh kia tum bhi....aahh...Nupur..tum..tum meri itni fikar kaise kar sakti ho?"

At this Nupur looked up, smiled and said sweetly:"Pyaar mein karna parta hai janaab..."

M:"Acha...toh phir tumne ye kyun kaha k mujhe yahan nahi aana chahye tha..??"

N:"Mayank...tum.."

Mayank cut her off:"Nupur...main yahan kaise nahi aata...??Tum jo yahan thi...tumhari problem meri bhi toh problem hai...is mein tumhari galati kahan hai?!Aur madam...pyaar mein itna toh karna hi parta hai naa...?!"

Nupur smiled and then said mischieviously:"Hmhh...waise Bui aaj pooch rahi thi k Mayank tumhari itni help kyun kar raha hai and all...unhein tum bohat caring lage.."

Mayank said in a flirtarious tone:"Ye toh aur bhi acha hai....kuch points toh barhe....warna Mogambo ko manaate manaate saat janam bhi kam parh jaayeinge.."

At this Nupur gave him a slight angered look and rested her head on his chest and Mayank wrapped his arms around her...

Mayank smiled and said:"I love you..Nupur.."

Forgetting all his worries, all he knew that he was the luckiest man in the world to have the most caring girl in his arms...
