Part 10

It was late in the afternoon when riddhima was gone shopping. Her plan was to finish her shopping as soon as she could and go to armaan who was at the office. She was just roaming around here and there and was buying random things. A couple of minutes went by and her phone started to ring. She took out her cell from her purse and saw that it was armaan who was calling her.

R: (on the phone) hello……

A: hello riddhima, kahan ho tum?

R: armaan who mein…..(armaan itterupts)

A: who mein kya riddhima, duper k do bajgaye hai and u still haven't arrived at the office.

R: armaan mein shopping karne agayi thi that's why am not there, lekin mein thori der mein wahan poch rahi hoon.

A: acha theek hai jaldi aao, waise bhi rahul kitni baar phone karchuka hai.

R: kyu rahul ko kya hua?

A: pata nahin, kehraha tha k hum char baje tak use Coffee Caf mein mile kuch zaroori baat karni hai, aur kehraha tha k tumhe usne phone karne ki koshish kit hi lekin tumhara number out of reach araha tha.

R: rahul ko aisa kya kaam aan para, joh itni jaldi bula raha hai.

A: ab who toh usse milke hi pata chalega na. ab tum jaldi ajao.

R: acha mein thodi der mein aati hoon. Aur sunno, mein yahan shopping mall mein hoon toh tumhe kuch chahiye?

A: nahin, mujhe filhaal kuch nahin chahiye, tum bas ajao.

R: acha theek hai ati hoon, bye (hangs up)

Riddhima continues to do her shopping. Its 3:00pm.

R: arey baap re, teen bajgaye, armaan intezaar kar raha hoga, mujhe chalna chahiye.

Riddhima is about to leave when she spots a comic book store in front of her. Then she spots a sign on the billboard saying "NEW ACTION COMICS AVAILABLE"

R: new action comics. Should I check them out? Maybe inme se koi armaan ki favorite ho. Should i? mere paas 4 baje tak ka time hai, i'll check.

Riddhima goes in the store and looks around at the collection and finds some really neat ones.

R: (excited) oh wow, yeh versions toh armaan ke favs hai. I should buy them. Usse bohot acha lagega.

Riddhima ends up buying 5-6 comics and heads towards the office with her driver. Its 3:30pm by the time riddhima arrives at the office. She heads towards armaan's cabin, b4 she enters she peeps in to see wat armaan is doing and she sees that he's in a really very bad mood.

R: (outside; to herself) oh god, iska toh mood bohot kharab hai. Kya karoo mein? IDEA, (pulls out the comics from the bag) yeh comics kab kaam ayengi? (enters the cabin)

A: (sees riddhima) agayi tum? Tumhe pata hai tyme kya hua hai? Tumhe meine kahan tha na k hume char baje tak rahul ko milne jana hai.

R: ha armaan mujhe pata hai par…..woh mein kuch kareed rahi thi.

A: kareed rahi thi? Lekin jab meine phone kiya tha, tumne toh kahan tha that tumhari shopping hogayi hai, toh phir?

R: armaan meri shopping hogayi thi, aur mein nikal hi rahi thi, lekin phir meri nazar ek cheez pe gayi aur mein usse lene chali gayi.

A: aisi kya cheez thi riddhima jise kareed ne mein tumhe itni der lagi that u didn't even bother calling me and informing me of ur whereabouts?

R: armaan who mein yeh kareed rahi thi….(shows him the comics)

A: (sees the comics) yeh?

R: ha, tumne toh mujhe mana kardiya tha that u didn't want anything, lekin mein kya karti, khud shopping karne jao aur tumhare liye kuch lao na, aisa toh kabhi na hua hai aur na kabhie hone wala hai. Jab meine inhe dekha, toh mujhe laga k tumhe bohot pasand ayengi, toh meine socha k tumhare liye leleti hoon. Lekin I guess k tumhe pasand nahin aye, no problem, mein wapas karadeti hoon (turns to leave)

A: (realizes; stops her) basket sunno. Sorry who kuch ziyada gussa hogaya. Mein bhi na, tumhari baat sune biger tumpe gussa hojata hoon. Mein bhi kaisa gaadda hoon, tum mere liye comics le rahi thi aur mein hi tumpe gussa hogaya. I'm really very sorry.

R: nahin armaan its okay, I'm sorry, mujhe tumhe batadena chahiye tha.

A: isme tumhari koi galati nahin hai riddhima, galti meri hai.

R: nahin armaan galti meri hai.

A: riddhima meine kahan na k galti meri hai.

R: armaan meine bhi kahan na k galti meri hai.

A: riddhimaaaaa

R: armaannnnnn. (phone rings)

A: lo humare riddhima armaan mein phone bhi bajgaya.

R: ab pick up toh karo. (armaan picks the phone up)

A: (on the phone) hello

Rahul: arey yaar tumlog kahan ho? Char bajne wale hai aur tumlog abhi tak nahin aye. Kab arahe ho?

A: bus humlog dus minute mein arahe hai.

Rahul: theek hai jaldi aao.

A: ha ha humlog arahe hai. Bye (hangs up)

R: kya hua?

A: kuch nahin rahul ka phone tha, pooch raha tha k hum kab wahan pochenge.

R: akir kaun sa zaroori kaam agaya hai yehlog ko?

A: ab who toh wahan hi jake pata chale ga.

R: hmmmmm…….chalte hai.

Both of them leave and at 4:00pm they reach the coffee caf. When they reach over there, they meet Rahul, Muskaan, Atul and Kripa.

Rahul: agaye tumlog? (hugs armaan)

A: (releases from rahul) akir baat kya hai? Kaun si zaroori baat hai that u guys couldn't even wait (sits down)

R: ha batao na kya baat hai?

Muskaan: mein batao? Meine batao?

Atul: ab Muskaan ko batane do warna yeh hum sab ka dimag kharab kardegi.

Muskaan: kya bola?

Atul: nahin meine kya bola? Meine toh kuch nahin bola?

Muskaan: hmmm.

Kripa: acha ab larna band karo, aur muskaan tu hi bata de.

Muskaan: theek hai mein batati hoon……toh suno. Aj hum sab ne party ka plan kiya hai.

A/R: party!?

Rahul: han han party. Tumlog toh aise chok rahe ho jaise humne party nahin kahan ho, aur tumhe ek doosre ko chorne ka kahan ho.

Muskaan: rahul tu pagal hogaya hai kya? Party aur indono ki alag hone ki baat mein kya connection.

Rahul: connection hai na kyun nahin hai (armaan and riddhima look confused)

Atul: acha kya connection hai, zara bata toh.

Kripa: ha batao toh kya connection hai.

Rahul: I mean mera kehna ka yeh matlab hai that since they stay together so much and now if we tell them to move away from each other, they won't be able too, right?

Atul: kyun nahin? They will separate right?

A: oye hum kyun alag honge?

Kripa: armaan tumlogo ko alag hona hi parega na.

R: par kyun.

Muskaan: yehlog ka matlab hai k tumlogo ki shaadi hogi toh tumlogo ko alag hona hi parega na. kaun sa tumlog ek doosre se pyaar karte ho? (everybody is struck wid the question)

Rahul: ha yaar muski ne yeh baat toh theek kahi, ek na ek din tumlog alag hojaoge, I mean shaadi karke, phir tumlog kya karoge?

Atul: matlab yehlog alag hojayenge?

A: wat nonsense humlog kyun alag honge?

Kripa: toh phir kya saari umar saath rahoge?

R: haan.

Muskaan: matlab tumlog shaadi karoge? (now everyone is staring at armaan and riddhima for the answer)

A: guys why are u guys staring at us like this?

R: r u guys ok?

Kripa: toh hogi k nahin?

R: kya?

Atul: tumlog ki shaadi.

A: (trying to cut the matter off) yaar tumlog bhi na kya leke bhet gaye. Hum is topic pe kaise agaye? Hum toh party ki baat kar rahe the.

R: (sides armaan) haan exactly hum is matter pe kaise agaye. Aur waise bhi jab time ayega tab sochenge, filhaal hum kuch aur baat kar rahe the (shrugs armaan) kyun armaan?

A: ha basket bilkul theek kehrahi hai, jis baat k liye hum yahan aye hai who karte hai na, aur kuch baad mein dekhenge.

Armaan is now confused because of the question that muskaan had asked. He himself didn't know how to answer it, he didn't know how to react to it. He had never thought of the fact of him and riddhima separating. Now armaan was sitting surrounded by his frnds and was thinking of wat will he do wen he and riddhima will separate, or will they? The talks of the party goes on and armaan is lost in this thoughts where he is searching for an answer. At last the group decides that the party is finalized and its tonight at 8 and later riddhima notices that armaan hasn't been paying much attention.

R: (shrugs armaan) armaan kya hua? Tum sun rahe ho na?

A: (comes back to his senses) hmm kya hua?

Muski: matlab tu kuch nahin sun raha tha?

A: tumlog kuch kehrahe the?

Rahul: yeh lo, in hone toh suna hi nahin hai.

R: armaan kya hua tum tense lag rahe ho,

A: nahin basket aisi kuch baat nahin hai.

Atul: toh baat kya hai?

A: tumlog who sab choro na, aur batao, kya baat kar rahe the?

Kripa: who humne decide kya hai that aj raat hum party kar rahe hai, ath baje, aur tum dono ko bhi ana hai. (armaan's phone rings)

A: excuse me (gets up to attend the call)

After a few minutes armaan comes back after the call has ended.

A: sorry ppl, ab hume jana hoga, office mein kaam agaya hai.

Rahul: theek hai raat ko aath baje milte hai.

R: acha theek hai. Bye. (they leave)

Armaan and riddhima reach the office but b4 they get out of the car, riddhima notices that armaan is looking really upset due to something and she can't help it and ends up asking.

R: armaan kya hua, kab se dekh rahi hu that u'r upset on something. I hope its nothing serious.

A: nahin riddhima aisa kuch nahin hai.

R: r u sure.

A: hmmmm, tum andar jao mein ata hoon.

R: theek hai, jaldi ana. (leaves)

Armaan puts his head back on his seat and starts thinking for a while.

A: yeh kya ho raha hai mujhe? Achanak basket se duur hone ki baat pe mein itna pareshan kyun hogaya hoon? Aj tak meine jis baat ko apne dimaag pe Hawaii nahin hone diya, aj wohi baat mujhe becheen kar rahi hai. Akir kyu mujhe achanak basket ko khone ka dar satha raha hai?

Armaan keeps thinking about these matters and at last goes in the office. Both armaan and riddhima continue to work and leave for home to get ready for the party. Its 8:00 pm when they reach the club where all of them have held a party. Both of them go in the club. When they go in they find, all the others standing by the bar stand and chatting. Atul spots armaan and riddhima entering.

Atul: yeh lo agaye (armaan and riddhima arrive at the stand.)

Muskaan: humlog abhi tumlogo ki hi baat kar rahe the.

R: acha, kya?

Rahul: yehi k tumlog kab ayoge.

A: so party kaisi chal rahi hai?

Kripa: abhi tak toh boring…. (interrupted by atul)

Atul: par ab tumlog agaye ho toh maza ayega.

A: (being sarcastic) han han, hum nahin ate toh tumlogo ki party kaise chalti?

R: armaan.

Rahul: riddhima tum yehlog ko choro na, chalo hum dance karte hai.

R: nahin rahul who…..(interrupted by Muskaan)

Muskaan: oye khothe, pehle toh mere peeche para tha aur ab ridzy k peeche, itni jaldi partners badalta hai. Chiiiiiii.

Rahul: han toh mein kya karo, jab meine tujhse poocha toh tune mana kardiya, toh mein ab ridzy ko pooch raha hoon.

Muskaan: ab meine ha boldiya toh tu ridzy ko pooch raha hai.

Rahul: tune haan kab bola, jab mein ridzy ko pooch chukka tha na? ab so sorry tera bad luck chal raha hai, mein ridzy k saath ja raha hoon, tu aisa kar, armaan k saath chale ja.

A: mere saath?

Rahul: ha tere saath kyun kya huwa?

Atul: yaar tu yeh kya kar raha hai, yaad nahin hai last time kya hua tha?

- FLASHBACK STARTS-

Its prom night in their college. The dancing session starts and it's a close up dance, so rahul chooses muskaan first but since she says no, he goes to riddhima but she says no too so he just stands over there beside her while armaan agrees to dance wid muskaan, so they start dancing. Every minute or two muskaan steps on armaan's foot with her heels. This continued 2 hrs and the next day, his foot was swollen badly, therefore, he decided not to dance wid muskaan again.

- FLASHBACK ENDS-

When they all stop recalling the past, they all start bursting in laughter, leaving muskaan and armaan standing there.

Muskaan: kya yaar, tumlog us din ki baat nahin shuru karo ha, who mera pehla dance tha.

A: aur mera pehla aur akri dance tere saath.

Kripa: kuch bhi kahon, who tha bohot funny.

A: han han haso, tumlog ka per thodi na suja tha.

Atul: oh comeon armaan we're just joking.

A: whatever.

R: oh come on guys stop arguing, hum yahan party karne aye hai, na k argue. (to rahul) rahul tum muskaan k saath dance karlo, waise bhi I'm not gonna dance.

A: yehlo hogayi party complete, rahul bhaiya, ab ap jake ache bache ki tarah muskaan didi k saath dance karo.

Rahul: nahin nahin, kahin mere per pe char gayi toh.

Muskaan: kya bola?

Rahul: meine kahan dance karne chale?

Muskaan: ha toh meine kab mana kiya hai? Chal na.

Atul, kripa, rahul and muskaan leave and start dancing while armaan and riddhima stayed back because riddhima didn't want to dance. Some time passed and they were still standing over there. Even though armaan was in the party, the only questions that aroused in his mind were the ones that his frnds had asked abt him in riddhima earlier that day. Suddenly, armaan's phone started to ring and he went to receive it outside the club since there wasn't much signal inside the club. Riddhima was standing there while armaan had gone out. She decided that she's gonna go and order for a drink.

R: (to the bartender) a soft drink pls.

Guy: abhi tak soft drink pe hi ho? (riddhima amazed at the question; turns around to find someone she knows from her college days and is shocked to see him there)

R: tum? Tum yahan kya kar rahe ho?

Guy: oh come on yeh question toh mujhe poochna chahiye tumse. I mean tum yahan night club mein. I mean kaise? Kahin koi locha toh nahin hai?

R: shut up sid. How dare u talk to me like that. Tumhe kya k mein kahan ho. Tum apne kaam se kaam rakho.

Sid: wohi toh kar raha hoon, u know since now that u've entered this club, that means u've entered my world, aur meri duniya mein dosto ka saath dena hi hota hai.

R: dost? Kaun se dost ke saath ki baat kar rahe ho tum? Un dosto ki, jin no ne tumpe bharosa kiya aur tumne tordiya. Un dosto ki, jino ne apne se pehle tumhari zaroorato ko rakah, aur tumne har mor pe unhe bewaqoof banaya? Ya phir un dosto ki baat kar rahe ho tum, joh tumhe har muse bat se bachate aye hai, aur tumne kya kiya, un dosto pe hi apni peet gumadi. Kaun se dosto ki baat kar rahe ho tum sid?

Sid: oh come on riddhima, ab tumhari dosti ka lecture yahan nahin dena. U know meine kabhi tumlogo ko sache dil se dost nahin mana. I mean..

R: I know wat u mean…..u mean that u were just using us for your works to be finished, right.

Sid: ha who toh tumne theek pehchaana, tumlogo ne mera bohot kaam kiya hai, lekin saath mein kuch aur kaam bhi kiye hai (looks at riddhima in a bad manner) u know wat I mean na.

R: u noe wat sid? Ur sick. Tumhara yeh hi ghanda dimaag ki wajah se humari dosti nahin rahi.

Sid: dosti? Kaunsi dosti ki baat kar rahi ho tum riddhima? Tumhari us boring dosti ki?

R: tumhare liye who dosti boring hogi sid, par hum sab k liye who sachi dosti thi, joh tum na kabhi samaj sake aur na soakage. (turns to leave)

Sid: (gets ahold of her) toh tum samja do na.

R: (struggling to be freed) sid yeh kya kar rahe ho? Choro mujhe.

Sid: nahin riddhima ab toh tumhe mujhe samja k hi jana parega.

R: sid choro mujhe.

Sid: no riddhima I want to understand tell me.

R: sid choro (gets freed and slaps sid hard across the face) ab samaj mein aya? Tumhari in hi wajah se humari dosti nahin rahi sid. I mean hum sab ne tumhe dost mana tha, meine, muskaan ne aur kripa ne par tum tumne kya kiya, nashe k halat mein who tum hi the na jisne muskaan ke saath zabardasti karne ki koshish ki thi? Bolo sid tum hi the na?

Sid: ha mein hi tha, aur mein kya karta, u girls just considered me as a frnd, and I didn't just wanted to be ur frnd. I mean I'm not armaan, rahul or atul that u guys expect me to be just frnds.

R: tum unki tarah ho bhi nahin sakte sid. Ur disgusting (turns to leave but sid catches her again) sid choro mujhe.

Sid: tumhe kya lagta hai, tum mujhe itna sunayo gi aur mein tumhe jane doonga, no riddhima that;s impossible, u've slapped me ab uska payback toh karna hi parega na?

R: sid let go of me.

Suddenly someone puts a hand on sids collar from behind and riddhima sees that its no one other than armaan.

R: armaan.

A: (to sid) chor use (comes beside them)

Sid: tu agaya, han han jahan riddhima wahan tu.

A: meine kahan chor use.

Sid: nahin chorunga, kya karega. (armaan gets ahold of sids hand and releases riddhima and pushes sid on the ground, sid gets up and armaan goes to fight him but riddhima stops him)

A: (goes to hit sid) teri toh me…..

R: (gets ahold of armaan) armaan rehne do, isse koi farq nahin parne wala.

A: riddhima iski toh mein.

R: armaan just leave it. Tamasha ban jaye ga.

A: par riddhima….

R: armaan chalo plz….tumhe meri kasam….(armaan loses in front of riddhima and leaves)

Sid: (thinks to himself) tumhe kya lagta hai riddhima, tum itni jaldi bach gayi, is tapar ka jawaab toh tumhe dena hi hoga.

Some time passes by and the group joins in at the table and are sitting down and are enjoying their party thing so far. Except for armaan, since he's gone in the washroom. Some minutes pass and a waiter comes to riddhima and gives her a note. Riddhima opens the note and reads:

"Riddhima, I wan't to meet u alone. Come on the terrace, plz. Want to talk abt something really important. Jaldi aao.

- Armaan"

After reading this, riddhima tells her frnds that she's going to the washroom and will come soon and leaves. As riddhima goes to the terrace, from the other side armaan comes out of the washroom and heads towards the group.

A: (to the group) hey ppl kya chal raha hai? (sits down, notices that riddhima isn't there) yeh riddhima kahan hai?

Muskaan: who washroom gayi hai.

A: oh ok.

Meanwhile, riddhima goes up the terrace, the door is open so she goes in but doesn't see anyone.

R: armaan, armaan, tum yahan ho kya. (hears someone behind closing the door; turns around to find sid there) tum? Tum yahan kya kar rahe ho? Aur tumne yeh darwaza kyun band kiya hai? Aur armaan kahan hai? Tum……(interrupted by sid)

Sid: shhhhh, tumhe pata hai k tum kitni sawaal poochti ho aur who bhi ek saath.

R: armaan kahan hai?

Sid: armaan? Who toh apne dosto k saath neeche behta hai.

R: kya bakwaas kar rahe ho? Usne toh mujhe yahan bulaya hai. (realizes) ab samaj mein aya, mujhe yahan armaan ne nahin balke tumne bulaya hai. Mujhe pehle hi samaj lena chahiye tha.

Sid: who tumhari galti thi, par ab toh tum agayi ho.

R: aur ab mein ja rahi hoon (before she can go anywhere, sid gets in front of her)

Sid: sorry riddhima, tum yahan a toh gayi ho, lekin jaa nahin paogi.

R: kya matlab hai tumhara?

Sid: I mean who joh tumne mujhe tapar mari thi na, uska badla tumhe abhi chukana hai (comes closer to her and riddhima moves back)

R: sid mujhe jane do.

Sid: ab toh nahin, pehle tapar ka badla lene do phir jahan jana ho jao. (comes closer but riddhima pushes him away and runs for the door but he catches her just after she opens the latch of the door, riddhima pushes him again and runs at the far end of the terrace and hides behind a big container)

Meanwhile, downstairs armaan is getting antsy waiting for riddhima so he decides to go look for her, he comes by the bathroom and waits for her for a few minutes.

A: yeh riddhima ko hua kya hai? Abhi tak aye kyun nahin hai? (his phone rings, he looks at it and its riddhima calling) riddhima? Lekin who toh washroom mein hai toh phir yeh? (accepts the call) hello…

R: (scared; on the phone) hello armaan, armaan mujhe bacha lo plz.

A: (tensed and scared) riddhima, riddhima tum kahan ho.

R: armaan mein terrace pe hoon, plz tum yahan ajao.

A: terrace pe? Lekin tum wahan kar kya rahi ho?

R: armaan who (tells him everything abt the note; armaan becomes furious) armaan plz mujhe sid se bacha lo.

A: riddhima par (the line disconnects due to network problems; armaan is full of anger now) is sid ko toh mein chorunga nahin. (leaves)
