Part 1
'Yawn' people started to stare at him as he had been constantly yawning for the past ten minutes. He couldn't believe he came for this boring movie. He was even more surprise at himself that he even agreed to come. Well, it was his fault. After breaking up with his fourth girlfriend, his sister Sukriti has suggested him that it was high time he learn on how to treat a girl. as if he didn't know how. That afternoon their argument was one that was worth watching. He bet that it could have had a higher TRP than the regular saas-babu soaps! Sukriti was furious when he broke up with his recent girlfriend Ayesha who was unfortunately her classmate just after a week they started dating. Well, it wasn't his fault this time. They went out just twice and he would always be amazed AND thankful to god that he survived both times which was torturing enough. The way she kept giggling out throughout their conversations, he was ready to commit murder. The real reason why he didnt let it go immediately was just because of his sister but as things seemed to be not getting too much he thought that it would be best to end it rather than hanging onto it.
"Taaniji" Shahrukh Khan has called the heroin twice standing by the door. Milind rolled his eyes and yawned again stretching his legs and sinking down further in his seat. This wasnt the kind of movie he would die to go. This was a kind of movie he would die for and probably kill too. Especially his sister for an example. He was getting calls after calls from Ayesha after he said that he cant see her anymore and he didn't want to tell her the reason and hurt her more. he thought that it was better not to say anything than to say anything. it does work in some cases but in Ayesha's case it didn't seem to. he asked for his sisters help and it was then she blasted him for not knowing on how to treat a girl. Finally she mellowed down when he used his formula number 420: 'tell your tragic love-less story'. Sukriti was so moved by the way he told her how he didn't find Ayesha as the perfect girl he wish to be with that she had told him that she would talk Ayesha out of it as soon as possible but only on one condition.
"What condition?" He had asked raising a brow surprised by his sisters cool voice all of a sudden.
"You have to watch this movie for me" She told him handing him the ticket she was holding. Milind took it from her and looked at it for a moment and then snorted seeing what it was.
"Rab Ne banadi jodi?" He chuckled. "You want me go for this?"
"Yes" Sukriti nodded her lips curving into a smile.
"This is it?" Milind asked still unable to believe the simple condition his sister has put forward. "this is nothing, just give me a challenge" He began to laugh.
"Yes, its very simple all you have to do is watch it"
"Yeah I know" he fell on the couch unable to resist.
"And tell me what happen in it" Sukriti added grinning broadly. Milind stood up almost all of a sudden as he felt as if someone had splashed cold water over his face.
"You're kidding" Milind laughed well, it wouldn't call a laugh. Yes, he was laughing but he knew that he would call it his last laugh. He made such a perfect plan on going to his favourit movie instead of this boring one at least, he wont lie to her saying that he didn't go.
"Why would I kid on this? I would have gone if my math teacher haven't pre-poned the test for tomorrow" Sukriti said turning away smiling at her brother's pligh. she walked up the stars as Milind watched her with his mouth hung open. "and bro, it's the opening night tonight so, I don't want you to miss it and do tell me what happened in it or else be ready for another date with Ayesha" She winked at him and closed the door of her room.
Milind dropped himself on the couch and burying his face in his hands. he knew he wont survive the 2 hour torture she had put him through. He knew he hate romantic movies, specially Bollywood. He looked around his small house and sniffed. "I'm going to miss you"
He yawned some more this time more loudly. He saw SRK holding the tiffin and walking in his office with the haule haule music playing at the background. "OH come on!" Milind wailed his unable to believe that SRK was staring at his tiffin box like that.
"Excuse me what is your problem?" he turned next to the person sitting next to his seat. "will you just shut up and let us watch this?" he heard he tell him sharply. He couldn't make out her features well due to the lighting effect from the screen. But one thing he knew that the dame sitting next to him was darn good looking. He could make out her shiny eyes, silky hair, the fair skin and most importantly, he could so damn make out her lips. Funny he also did notice how pink it was.
As she turned away, Milind found it hard to tear his gaze away from her but when he shifted in her seat, not wanting to be caught staring, he turned his attention back to the movie.
His opened his eyes more not to doze off out of boredom. Not long, his eyes started to get heavy and his head fell back and started to snore silently.
Prachi Shah looked beside the person sitting next to her. she had been so excited to see her favorite hero onscreen in a total new avatar but it seemed that this person had some chip on his shoulder about her that he is not letting her watch the movie in peace. She couldn't believe he was sleeping! Sleeping during the beautiful movie. 'well, who cares' she shrugged and turned her attention back to the movie.
Milind shot up from his seat as he felt someone slap on his thigh laughing. Goodness, he felt as if he had been sent straight up. up means up there where there was no return!
"hey moron! Sit down!" Milind turned back breathless as he heard someone call out him. Milind clutched his heart trying to make sure that he was really alive. Milind immediately sat down and realized that the woman sitting by him who had slapped his thigh so hard laughing but why?! he turned his face towards the screen and saw SRK in tight jeans and shirt, with hair spiked up and red goggles! Milind couldn't help but burst out laughing at his look. Then turned to the girl next to him. "he sure don't look any stupider than that"
The girl turned her head and then raised a brow. "Excuse me?"
"I mean just LOOK at him, he looks like a lunatic in that attire" Milind laughed on unaware of the fact that he was actually talking to a stranger.
Prachi shook her head as she heard nothing more from the lunatic sitting beside her. he so wanted to whack his head for saying such a thing to her SRK. Well, he is no more than a lunatic himself. Prachi rolled her eyes and shifted her attention back to the screen AGAIN!
Thankfully the next few minutes, he kept his hands, legs and mouth everything to himself. Prachi smiled with her hands over her heart at the cute scenes between taani and raj and Milind rolled his eyes seeing her.
Prachi swallowed hard as she felt a large lump on her throat. The heart-wrenching scene of Surindar talking his heart out about the love for his wife to his statue. Her eyes started filling up as the dramatic music began to play in the background. The scene paused with the Intermission and eventually it faded out to white. Prachi wiped the invisible tear from the corner of her eyes. She heard a chuckle from beside and turned to the man next to her. she glared at him angrily.
"You girls are such a sissy" He commented amused seeing her wipe the tear away. "they just have to do this and you girls start crying buckets" He laughed imitating the way SRK was when talking to his statue.
"Well, you wont know how much it hurts when you realize that your wife don't love you!" Prachi snapped at him and Milind flinched at her words. Sure he never thought that she would take it so seriously. That too over a fictional character?!
"Woah, its just a movie!"
"Well yes, its just a movie but it do give out a lot of emotions which I think you are really not interested in, so if you don't like it, why watch it?" Prachi was almost shouting now, she saw people stop and stare at them and with that, she stood up and marched out of the theater leaving Milind's mouth hanging open.
Milind never saw any girl who had the audacity to snap at him like that. well, he need to talk her that NO ONE and NO ONE can talk to him like that! grabbing his jacket, he slung it over his shoulders and went behind her.
The canteen counter was filled with people buying snacks and drinks. 'god how am I gonna find her here?' Milind thought helplessly as he saw the amount of crowd. He tiptoed to make a better view around and scanning, he saw her turn from the counter and head towards the washrooms. He smiled and pushed himself through the crowed to follow her.
