OMG! This is so hard to post right now. I hope things get cleared up but I am almost in tears over the news of Mayank leaving. I don't know if I am one of those people that can keep up with things here if he actually leaves. Will have to see.. What a way to start the new year, na? Oh ya.. Happy New Year!!!

Anyways as for this part.. its more just a set up for the rest of the story. Sorry if its not edited well.. I just can't bare to read it again and for that matter.. I don't even want to think of RM right now because its making me sad. But I hope you enjoy and please comment/criticize.

Part 1

Time stood still as they gazed at each other. Both in shock of what they were seeing. Both unable to move. Both with their unwavering stare.

Muskaan's cell phone starts ringing and that was a welcome distraction.

The rest of the girls finally notice that they had left Muskaan behind and they come to get her totally unaware of the intense stare between Rahul and Muskaan.

Anjali - Come on.. I am not waiting all day!

Riddhima - Anjali di.. abhi aaye... Muskaan chalo na! Itni achi jhaga hai na?

Riddhima holds onto her arm to try to pull her away. Muskaan finally looks up at her with indication that she is listening to her now.

Muskaan - Ha..haan.. chal!

Anjali is annoyed - Pick up your phone already!

Muskaan - Oh.. ya.

Muskaan is flustered and she can barely find her phone and when she does find it she just stares at it fiddling withthe buttons. She falls behind again as the girls make there way up the stairs. She finally picks up the call.

Muskaan - Hello?

Voice - Hi jaana!

Muskaan - Oh.. Akashay tum?

Akshay - Haan.. you sound disappointed!

Muskaan - Nahin aisa kuch nahin hai.. woh main bus..

Akshay - So you left me for one day and already forgot about me? Mujhe patha tha ke ...

Muskaan is a little annoyed and abruptly cuts him off - Maine kaha na aisa kuch nahin hai!

Akshay can sense the tension - Muskaan? Kya baath hai?

Muskaan - Nahin kuch nahin.. I am sorry woh bas main abhi hi yahan paunchi hoon na..

Akshay - Ok ok toh safar kaisa tha?

Muskaan - Ok..

Akshay - Looks like you arent in the mood to talk???

Muskaan - Sorry.. mood ek dum kharab ho gaya yahan aathe hi..

Akshay - Tell me..

Muskaan - I can't talk about it right now.

Akshay - You never tell me anything.

Muskaan - You know thats not true..

Akshay - Humari shaadi main bas theen mahine hain aur phir bi itni secretive ho..

Muskaan - Acha baba! Phir se nahin hongi 'itni secretive'.. main abhi aayi hoon. Thodi dher main phone kar sakti hoon?

Akshay - Of course! Apna dhyan rakhna! I love you!

Muskaan - Haan.. bye!

She was unable to reciprocate..

Up in the girls room..

Sukirti - Meri shaadi jab hogi aise hi hogi.. Abhi and Nikki are so lucky that they have all this money.. such a gorgeous place and a whole week of fun and relaxation!

Riddhima - Haan.. main toh aisi shaadi main kabhi nahin aayi.. bohot maza aayega na? Hai na, di? Muskaan?

Anjali - Ya sure. i just can't wait till we can leave. Kitne din ki baat hai?

Riddhima - Abhi to kaha hai.. bas ek week.. magar aur dher bhi rukh sakthe hain.. after all it is our break time.

Anjali - No way! We are out of here as soon as possible! I mean did you see those nasty boys drooling downstairs? I can't handle this.

Sukirti - I think they looked pretty good, no? Kyun Riddhima?

Riddhima - Ya.. sure! What do you think Muskaan?

Muskaan had not been paying attention the whole time to their jabbering. Lost in her ownthoughts.

Muskaan - Kya?

Sukirti - Offo.. ab tujhe kya hua?

Muskaan - Woh.. kuch toh nahin..

Riddhima - Woh phone kiska tha? Akshay ka?.. Usne kuch kaha toh nahin?

Muskaan - Nahin.. woh toh aisi hi miss kar raha tha.

Riddhima - Toh yeh to achi baath hai. Tujhe to khush hona chahiye. You are so lucky. Tujhe itna acha match mila hai.

Sukirti - Ya.. Akshay is hot!

Anjali - Hmmph.. please.. he may be but this arranged marriage is not for me.

Sukirti - I dont know. I think it depends on the guy! I would go for that Armaan or Rahul anyday.

Muskaan looked up in shock after hearing his name again. It was a name she had tried to bury into the inaccessible recesses of her mind desperately for many years. She had heard this name multiple times in the past few years and everytime she felt a pinge in her heart but this time it wasn't just the name but it was actually him.

The girls talked about the guys and marriage and the decorations but Muskaan wasn't there. She whad been looking forward to her cousins wedding as soon as she heard of it taking place in India even though she had not been here for over 5 years. She was looking forward to returning. She was finally rid of the problems that followed her and she was moving on in life. Ready to start a new life with this
wonderful guy her parents had found for her. She was happy. But now it was going to be hard to continue on that way. This moment of confrontation had shoved the truth at her.. plain and straight! Her efforts at forgetting her past had always been in vain.

Downstairs with the guys..

Rahul is still looking towards the door. He has not moved for minutes. They boys finally got over their shock and finished looking at the girls retreat to their rooms up the stairs. Atul and Armaan high fiving each other as they felt this would give them plenty of amusement and action for this long week at their friends wedding.

Atul - Chalo.. meri setting to hogayi.

Armaan laughs - Haha! Kya hogayi? Kiske saath?

Atul - Woh pari..

Armaan - Kya?

Atul - Haan woh pari!

Armaan - Kaunsi pari? Kisika naam pari nahin tha.

Atul - Woh.. jisne pyar se apne haathon se mujhe chua tha..

Armaan still snickering - Oh! Jisne naakh upar karke tujhe dakha mara aur tujhe dekha hi nahin. Uska naam Anjali hai, I think!

Atul - Haan wohi toh.. Anjali ka short name Angel so Pari!!

Armaan just hits himself in the head and shakes his head - Chal.. lets see who Rahul has his eyes set on..

They walk over and see Rahul is as pale as a ghost.

Atul - Dekha! Rahul ko bhi ek jhatka laga in ladkiyon ko dekh kar.

Armaan - Arre tu theek toh hai? - shaking Rahul

.....................................

Ahh!

Anjali screams and it can heard as an echo from the bathroom and everyone jumps.
It brings Muskaan back to reality and they go running to see whats wrong.

Anjali - OMG! No hairdryer? What kind of place is this? I told you Ridz main apni sari makeup aur hair ki cheezen le khe aajathi toh I would not have this horrific problem. Ab main kya karoon? - always speaking in hindi when she is sad..

Anjali comes storming out of the bathroom almost knocking everyone over. She storms out the door with the girls following in tow.

Armaan is still trying to bring Rahul back to himself.

Atul sees Anjali burst out the door and running down the stairs.

Atul- Ab isse chor de.. woh dekh meri pari aa rahi hai. Main ja ke try martha hoon.

Armaan turns away from Rahul and tries to stop him .

Armaan - Abbe! Rukh.. ek dum theeki mirchi ki tara lag rahi hai.. Teri timing bhi na.. Pitte ga!

Armaan just shakes his head again and turns back to Rahul - Ab tu patha.. kya hua??? This isn't yu usual reaction to sexy girls!

Rahul was deep in thought. He was thinking that what he had seen was a figment of his imagination. There is no way that could be possible. He must just be losing his mind or something must have jogged old memories.

Armaan yells - Rahul!!!

He jumps.

Rahul - Baunk kyon raha hai?

Armaan - Tujhe kya hua hai?

Rahul unconvincingly says - Kuch toh nahin..

Armaan looks up just in time to see Atul running into Anjali and colliding causing him to fall and he was literally laying on the floor. Anjali stops now but does not offer any help.

Armaan goes running to help Atul.

But behind her.. there she was again.. same face.. same hair.. same eyes..He blinked once, twice.. a million times but the scene did not change. In fact things looked clearer than they did before and there was no denying it. That was Muskaan alright and there was definitely no possibility of a hallucination.

Armaan - Tu yahan letha hua kya kar raha hai? Theek hai? Lagi toh nahin?

Atul - Haan.. bohot zor se..

Armaan leans over - Kahan?

Points to his heart.

Atul looked up. He stared at her, his eyes open wide. His hands suddenly raised up in the air, knocking Armaans face.

Atul: Pari! Pari! PARII!!

Anjali looks at him in disgust and walks away.

Armaan cleared his throat and bought Atul back.

Ammy: Atul, nahin.. main Armaan hoon..

Atul - Oh..

Armaan - Ab salle utt! Teri halat toh kya se kya hone wali hai.. - giving up trying pick him up lets him fall again -Fine.. letha re main gaya!

Atul just lying there with a smile on his face - Haye.. meri pari!

Armaan walks back to Rahul.. now really concerned about him. He notices that Rahuls more alertnow looking past his shoulder at the girls.. particularly the one in the salwar kameez.

Armaan - Oh Rahul.. tu usse ghoor ghoor ke kyun dekh raha hai. Mil gayi teri woh dream girl?

Rahul has no reaction.

Armaan - Rahul!!!

Rahul - Haan?

Armaan - Haan kya? Woh hi hai teri dream girl?

Rahul - N.. nahin.. Ya right ! (sneering) woh aisi baat nahin hai..

Armaan - Ok.. toh main try mar loon? Shes kind of cute!

Rahul - Arre! Woh main usse janta hoon pehle se.

Armaan - Ohh.. jaantha hai???

Rahul - Arre.. Tera dhimak kahan ja raha hai?

Armaan - Mera dhimak toh wahin jaatha hai jaise tera..

Rahul - Chup!.. its not so simple!

Armaan - So tell me..

Flashback:

At a birthday party there were a whole slew of children around the age of 6. A young chubby girl roamed around drinking her soda in her light yellow frock and crown with a train of children following. After all it was her birthday and she finally had justifiable 'raj' of everyone just as she always wanted. Shes been ruling the party the whole day and quite frankly more than half the kids were sick of it but no one would stand up to her.

A cute scrawny boy who was eating a piece of her ice cream birthday cake crashed into her and his ice cream fell on her dress.

Little Muskaan - Tune meri new new dress kyun kharab ki? Yeh meri birthday dress thi! Aurwaise bhi tum ho kaun? Main tumhe nahin jaanthi. Yeh meri party hai!

Thinking he was going to back down she was wrong.

The little boy named Rahul - Meri koi galti nahi!..Tum saamne aa gayi thi!.. Aur yeh frock pehle se itna ghanda sa hai aur hogaya toh kya.

Little Muskaan - shocked with her mouth hanging open - Tum hote kaun ho? Meri party hai.. Mujhse ladai mat kar. Main maar doongi..

Little Rahul - Mujhe maare ghi? Maar ke dekh.. main thodi dharta hoon.

Little Muskaan - Main sacchi maroongi aur tum dekh toh rahe ho mere saare friends.

Her friends were sick of her antics and some had drifted over to his side.

Little Rahul - Toh kya hua.. main bhi Rahul hoon Rahul.. naam toh suna hoga!

Little Muskaan - Ja ja naam wale.. yeh le..

She throws her soda in his face.

Little Muskaan - Sorry galthi hogayi.. - she shrieks and goes running -

Little Rahul - Tu rhuk ab mein tujhe batata hoon.

He goes running over to where the cake was and grabs a big piece running after her. Needless to say she could not move so fast with her excess weight. He caught her quick and smeared cake all over her face.

Muskaan kicks Rahul. Rahul pulls her hair. They continue on until the adults finally notice and pull them away.

Muskaan is completely angry but Rahul has a smirk on his face and seems quite pleased with what happened.

Muskaan - I hate you.. Rahul!

Rahul - Chipkali!

Muskaan - Kankajoora!

...................................

The sound of hysterical laughing breaks him from his thoughts and story.

Atul - hahahahahahaha!

Rahul - Abhe! Tu kab aaya?

Atul - Yeh.. kya story hai?

Armaan - Itna tension main lag raha tha aur is ke liya?

Rahul - Yeh to bas shurwat thi.. it gets more complicated!
