I seem to be becoming lazier every day …must be the climate, cool weather always make me want to curl up with a hot mug of cocoa, immerse myself in my fav books and let the world recede to a distant dream. Course, while a wonderful sensation it plays havoc with my ability to perform other tasks including replying to a certain ff writer 😉.
I'm sorry for the late reply but I just finished reading the update, I had sundry tasks including meeting my supervisor and then my friends invited me to an evening of Rajastani folk music and then went for a coffee and what with one thing and another only got back to the room now.
LOVED the update…the convo b/w rahul and ridz was too good and I loved the way ridz said she would rather wait for her Rhett than become a Scarlett to Armaan's Ashley 👏…totally agree with your analysis of his character btw, but somehow I could never liked Rhett either, a fact that have caused a lot of consternation among my friends when we had it for English in 9th standard. Maybe it's cause his character will always be coloured by Gable's portrayal for me despite the fact that I read the book first…too much machismo in my opinion 😒 and I was never a fan of the same. But yeah, I still love his line though 😉 I love Scarlett's "Tomorrow is another day" ⭐️ even better. Now there's a survivor, however immature she might be, you can't not admire the never-say-die attitude. Course Melanie was another strong character… as was Scarlett's mom (Elaine wasn't it?) in fact I admire most of the women, it's the men I have problems with.
Anyway coming back to the update, I loved how rahul at once catches the reference. We do that a lot in my house, I mean when my mom and I discuss books we end up talking about them like they're real ppl (and so they are...to us anyway) and it's so irritating when ppl go Huh? Or ask you who you're talking about *sigh* 😒.
What can I say about the scene between AR except that it's my heartfelt wish that I might find a Rudolf of my own whom I can spend just such an evening with 😍 (you have no idea how lucky you are with your Rhett Sam…especially since you managed to get hold of one with a baritone as well *damn* I'm turning a very interesting shade of green here… 😉 😆)
My net is acting up again 🤢 but as soon as it gets normal I'll try to listen to the Dean Martin songs you suggested as well as Ankit's song…I'm sure I'll like them as well.
