| Indian Telly Awards By Kkomal Seth & Gautam Seth Indian Idol, Kaun Banega Crorepati 2, Sarabhai s Sarabhai and Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin, win best show awards India Telly Awards 2005. -Mona Singh and Apurva Agnihotri win best actor awards- -BR Chopra Bestowed Lifetime Contribution Award At Indian Telly Awards 2005- Mumbai 27 November 2005: Veteran film and television maker BR Chopra was felicitated with the Lifetime Achievement Awardfor his contribution to Indian Television in the Fifth Indian Telly Awards presented by Gamier Lightat a glittering ceremony held last night at the Chitrakoot grounds. Chopra was behind path breaking television shows such as Mahabharat. Among the big winners on the night were Indian Idol which walked away witl1he Reality Programme of the year award and also the television programme of the year award. J assi J aisi Koi N ahin pocketed the daily serial of the year award, while lead actors Apurva Agnihotri and Mona Singh won for best actor and best actress respectively.Pawan Shankar who played a lawyer in Star One show SiddanL~ \.vas gi en the award for Best Actor in the TV Critics category while Juhu Kusum Parmar pocketed the same in the female category . The Balaji top grosses of the past four years Kyuunki SaasBhi Kabhi Bahu Thi bagged the best continuing TV show of the year, while actors Hiten Tejwani and Gauri Pradhan topped in the male and female supporting actor categories for the same show. Other actors from the same show such Akashdeep Saigal, Chinky Jaisval won the best male actor in a negative role and best child female actor respectively. |
