These days talent shows on television take on young participants (below age 30). But there are many above that age who are as talented. Isn't it unfair that they have no platform to express themselves?-—K.S. Batra, Vashi
Angel eyes:I'm really feeling bad for you now. I can understand how you must be feeling. It's just that most of these shows are to promote 'young' talent. And it's unfortunate that young in this case is only age. Yes it is unfair. But then that shouldn't stop you from expressing your talent. If you're good, nothing can stop you!
Devil lies:C'mon now. Who says there's no platform for you to express yourself. I can think of so many platforms right away. There's the Andheri platform. There's Churchgate platform. In fact Dadar has many platforms! Go right ahead.
My husband and I have enjoyed a prosperous married life all these years. We have two school-going daughters. My husband was an executive till an accident affected his brain, which later impaired his movements. Consequently he lost his job. I have taken up a job which is no problem . But what hurts me is that he has become difficult and violent. All the love has gone from our lives. How do I deal with him? -Archana, Kandivali
Angel eyes: The only way to deal with him is unconditional love. The man has gone through a lot. All the negativity that he has mustered over the years is manifesting itself in violence. Just make him feel special. See if you can get him to enroll in a yoga class. He might not be able to do the asanas too well, but at least he can work on his breathing. That'll calm him down.
Devil lies: Enough of this sympathy trip. He just can't get away by being rude because life has been unfair with him. There is a time-tested method that deals with such cantankerous individuals. No dinner. Three days. And he'll start behaving himself.

Angel eyes: What's wrong with your friends? Just because he doesn't respond to your overtures doesn't mean all of you start questioning his sexuality. Nevertheless, why don't you just speak your heart out to him? At least you'll get a clear answer. It'll put you out of your misery and this whole guesswork business.
Devil lies: Why don't you invite him out for dinner along with another good-looking male friend ? Observe him closely all evening. If your friend gets more attention than you, you have your answer. But make sure he pays for the dinner!
