Celeb Gurukul....is it worth?

I have seen many posts here regarding Qazi-Rupu a disgrace to music and how selecting them was of poor taste. But no one even commented on Celeb Gurukul.

Even if its for a good coz was this needed? Sony could have arranged for more concerts by FG particpants or arranged for some other categories like best voice, best performance, most popular amongst the contestants and asked Janta to vote or buy tickets of those concerts instead of making a hoard of Celebs perform. I am sure they would have made more money that way and the thing wouldnt have lost its charm like this.

They just did it to compete with Stars Nach Baliye (a celeb dance competition). Even if they had done so they could have taken proper auditions I am sure there are a lot amongst the Celebs too who can at least sing decent. Instead of that they gathered all those who have killed in soaps, have no work in hand and made a total joke out of music and a laugh stock. This is really really a retarded brainless act of Sony's.

Many pointed out as what international stars will think when Qazi performs, even many international Rockstars dont have the greatest voices, they just get away by "style". Yes "Style" is the word, and Qazi's Yeh tara Woh tara and several other performances proved that he is not besura may be he doesnt have the greatest voice but he definitely has a different voice and lots of style to make him reach the top.

Have u guyz imagined when Sony BMG will launch an album of one of these celebs? Wht will people say then, who will buy those and if this isnt a disgrace to Indian music, Qazi-Rupu will sound like Kishore and Lata in comparison to them.

Its very sad that when two youngsters make it to the top by their endeavour, hard work and sincerity we become extremely music mided and cirticise every act of theirs instead of encouraging or praising them and when worse of things are done by so called celebs we dont even want to comment.😊

I agree with most for what you said. This is my favourite topic! Haha I make it a point to contribute to Celeb Fg posts and say the same thing. They are dreadful, but worth a laugh! Just close ur ears when they sing.

And yeah I agree if they had to do the show, why give them an album contract also??? PATHETIC.

infiniteattract I realy liked the way you explained why all should support Qazi and Ruppu Jodi and why they deserve it .Sony's show was not about singing only , If it was then why will they ask people to Judge the singer .I mean due respect to all Janta we all have to agree normal person may know which voice is good but he cant judge singers professionally.Sony's show was about singing as well as performance.And Ruppu and Qazi Jodi is best in both so whoever try to put them down need to think twice before writing .

Well I haven't seen Celeb Fame gurukul but looks like they are trying to cash on Fame Gurukul's success .

Celeb FG is the most irritating show I have ever watched in my life. It may be for a good cause but it's a pathetic show...and it would have much better if they involved the real FG contestants (I really miss them) instead of these 'so-called celebrities' who don't know the first thing abt singing. I don't understand how Javed Akhtar and Alka Yagnik manage to sit through the whole show without bursting out into laughter...have they ever heard such horrible singers before?
