I'm not willing to give up on the show yet. Yes I cannot see someone take CC's place, but instead of thinking about it as someone taking her place, why not think about it as someone new coming in. You need to know that someday this would have happened. Kavita Kaushik would have left and a new team would have either come in or the show would have ended. Why can't we think of it as a new show already? Sure the name is the same, but it can be a different movie.

I want to see the new team once. If after their entry I don't like it, only then will I leave it.

The "problem" is that it takes some time for any cast/crew to really "gell" together. I think I watched a couple of the early episodes of FIR and stopped watching. CC's accent was a little too harsh. There was nothing funny going on (to my mind) etc. etc. All these things they managed to fix with a little time (and work).

It may take a while similarly for the new FIR cast to find their legs.

I guess I'll give it a shot for a little bit. (And hope that KK comes back).

Just like I'm giving Tota Weds Maina a shot - even tho' I don't really like *everything* or *everybody* like I kind-of did on FIR.

Exactly...it's not fair to just give up without giving it a chance. At first even I found CC's accent annoying, but slowly that's the thing that I started loving. And given that I am Haryanvi myself, I'm supposed to know the accent, but I was born and raised in Canada so I've never learned that accent. To all of a sudden learn something like that was really weird, but I enjoyed it. Now I want to get a feel for the new team as well. I may have been angry before but not anymore.

Hope we could have a special appearance of the actors like billu, gulgule, gopi , CC,BP etc.

@all- They said that CC would quit and another girl would come as her daughter that means that CC will get married or something..😕

After seven years, popular serial FIR will see a change. Kavita Kaushik, who has been playingInspector Chandram-ukhi Chautala, will no longer be on the show. There will be a generation leap with a new cop coming in as Chandramukhi's daughter.

Sources say Chitrashi Rawat, best known as one of the Chak De! India girls, will in all likelihood be finalised soon. Apart from Kavita, Aamir Aliand Kiku Sharda will also not be part of the time leap. The production house is hunting for Kiku's replacement.

What prompted the change? Says the source, "After seven years, they felt it was time for a change. Also, Kavita is doing another show on the same channel, where she plays a character which is just the opposite of Chautala." Producer Binaifer Kohli, however, did not revert to our SMS.
