Few episodes back, when Arjun asked Corl Abhayankar as to why he wouldn't lead Arjun's expedition, anyone noticed a sense of guilt on his face. Is he hiding something? Could it be that he is not eligible to climb mountains anymore? Or did he also go through a painful experience (death of a team member etc) like Arjun on his last expedition?

Am I the only one who noticed this & feels that there is some secret about Corl Abhayankar? Would love to hear your views.

Yup he is hiding some thing ...

May be someone died who was close to him ...

He went for expedition of mount Everest 6-7 times ...

Surely he has strong reason...

Yes there was a pain in his eyes when he said those words to Arjun.. Seems reason behind this.. It's visible whenever he gives a speech about his experience sort of emotions emotions running all over his face.. As u said, maybe a guilt of losing someone what Arjun had did?? He too announced as this was his last batch strong reason behind? .. Whenever he sees Anjali , there was a emotional kind of pain? Either about his family members, he was alone?? or he had a daughter like Anjali? I'm thinking too much..

evn i felt d same but i wont sae dat its fishy...i guess dats bcoz he failed 4 times while completing the Mt. everest expedition(while d students wer presented his documentary)

I don't think you're thinking too much HAHA. I don't think his pain has anything to do with Anjali, or losing someone like Anjali. I think the Corl looks out for her, because she impressed him with the passion within her, which not everyone has. Arjun is a good student, but he's too overconfident. Anjali's the perfect student he can have & I am sure he would love to train her.

I also suspect losing someone close & that too, because he didn't look out for that member.

Also, maybe its just me but the Corl seems to have double standards. He's known to be strict & to do whatever he wants, but yet he gives Arjun admission despite Arjun's rude behaviour & he also lets the Black Horses off with a mere apology to Raman.

I suspect the same. The loss of someone. Probably due to his own ambitions, he didn't look out for another team member. Let's see what's in store next.
