ya,no doubt tara was good,i think she should do a course in opera from LONDON MUSIC SCHOOL and settle in europe where her talent would b justified.
Today was truly a tough call, the boy was also good,& the scare-crow dancers were also good(their concept was innovative).
I also wish to suggest our olympic trainers to train the jharkand watchman for olympics,seriously!.....I think this prog is a great platform for hidden talent for experts from respective section of art to grab such talents and nurture them.u get to c this sitting on ur butt,u experts dont have to roam around india to find these cos of this prog.!!
Now how r u suppose to find talent like jharkand watchman whos economically backward, low profile etc.
Even talents like tara have economic support, support from their parents & even if she was not there today she would nuture her talent by studying music abroad cos she has that status, but guys like jharkand watchman dont.
I just hope that such shows dont endup like a sweet dream and memory for him whereby he'll tell his grandchildren'mai ye show may bambai gaya tha,10,000/- mile the, taliya bhajai gayi mere performancemai'...it should not end there. When his grandkids ask 'ooske baad kya hua?'..he should have celebrating response for that!!!

That's true, but we can't assume that Tara's family is rich. If they are middle-class people, they would think twice before sending her to Europe for music education. Indian parents are quite willing to invest in their children's education like MBA or Medicine (read "lucrative jobs"), but are wary of putting in lots of money for something that is still perceived as a "side-hobby" in this country. Opera doesn't have much popularity in India but thanks to shows like these, the ones who follow this art get a platform to show their talent.

P.S. Tara had such purity and serenity on her face! Talent apart, it's rare to find a persona like that!

Agreed, but i wish & hope that even then she makes it international through some scholarships etc cos 1 thing is for sure, opera culture does not thrive in india & thus if she doesnt take training and make her career abroad she'll merely have to start opera training classes in ,say, colaba, where rich parents from southmumbai will send their daughter for singing irrespective of the've talent or not, just to boast among others that 'My daughter,u know,is taking training in opera u know'...😛
She may earn big time through this coaching too,but i guess her talent would go to waste then.

She is a good singer no doubt.. but it was definitely not real opera.. Her pitch was not high enough in many parts. Although, she does have a good voice and she can sing pretty well.. just the opera bit wasn't truly opera..

If only people in India actually gave opportunity to people like him. He was seriously sooo good. I am sure he would be even better if he was trained well. The only thing is that I doubt the olympic comittee of india actually watches this show and is on a look out for such skills. They only want to put in more sports money on cricket and faltu ka IPL and what not. I wish they would take other sports just as seriously..

ROFL@ bolded part
exactly yaar...cricket iz wayyyy overrated...i tink majority of d ppl frm india dnt knw dat Hockey iz d national game ov india...no matter wat hockey ppl do dey never get appreiciated...d money iz neva invested in hockey so how wud dey practise liek cricket playerz...i tink crickey playerz r paid more dan any ppl frm any sportz...d BINDRA guy whu won a gold medal 4 india wz onli appreiciated for few dayz...even if indian cricket loosez ppl styll cheer 4 dem...
i saw dere were few gymnastic presentationz in dis show..if dey r given full training by d board they can actully get sum medalz 4 india...bt na man whu d heck care abt medalz..itz all abt cricket
