Ha, you're right. Every character in this show does seem to take someone or the other for granted, while being taken for granted themselves as well!

Having said that, it's kind of hard for me to understand this furor over Veera ill-treating Baldev or Veera being judged harshly for her behavior toward Baldev. Maybe this is because I'm more of a VeeBa-shipper than a Veera or Baldev or Vishal shipper? Not sure.

When I put myself in Veera's shoes as far as as the motor incident is concerned, I think I would have reacted similarly. The CVs had her talk about the importance of those motors at least twice before Baldev even went to the market to get them. Even later, I think there was a scene with Veera and Ratan where Veera tells Ratan that with the motors having been bought, a big job had been completed. She was clearly a little stressed and anxious about the motors being bought and installed without any mishap 'cos the Panchayat had given them money for the same, and if anything went wrong, maybe she worried that it would reflect badly on them and the Panch's decision to fund future motors etc.? Even when Baldev surprised her with the clothes, her first reaction was 'Tu motor kareedhne gaya tha ki mere liye shopping karne?'

While she loved his gesture and no doubt thought of herself lucky to have such a sweet boyfriend, she would have been perfectly fine with him not getting her anything. Am I making sense? It was irresponsible of Baldev to delegate such an important job to someone else, especially when the reason for said delegation was something unnecessary and frivolous. (The fact that Baldev is not officially employed by the Krishi Vidyalaya and that he's helping the SS parivaar mostly 'cos of his relationship with Veera is a totally separate issue as far as I'm concerned. He undertook a particular task, and as such was responsible for it's successful completion, irrespective of why he took it up in the first place.)

As for Veera shouting at him in front of everyone else, I don't know if I feel anything about it. I've never looked on any of these characters as being perfect...and to me she reacted out of the dismay and frustration she felt at the motors being faulty. Maybe she could have put it across more tactfully and given him a more honest piece of her mind in private, but maybe this was a deliberate move on the CVs part to create friction between the two so they would have to make up and be spotted by Ratan later. So for me, it's more of something the CVs are responsible for than the character. :D

Someone mentioned in the comments somewhere that VeeBa seemed to be on a more equal footing when they were sworn enemies...I agree! These days, I do get the feeling that Veera doesn't quite respect (or even love for that matter!) Baldev in the way she ought perhaps? I don't know if this is deliberate on the part of the CVs, or a result of shoddy writing or the way DS is choosing to interpret the character though. Plus, I guess as a character, Baldev still hasn't made the kind of growth most of us are expecting.

I don't know. Honestly, these days, I'm not altogether as invested in this serial or VeeBa as I used to be. I skip episodes based on the WU or LU if there's no VeeBa, and try and appreciate the nicer VeeBa scenes when we do get them. Seems to be the most sensible way to watch this serial at this point!

:)

^^^ thats wat I fail to understand too!
Why so much hatred for Veera?! Honestly her reaction when she scolded Baldev was quite expected!
And it was Baldev's fault too that he shifted his own responsibilities to someone's else!
When you take up a responsibility, its ur duty to complete it!
But he didnt think maturely & delegated his own work to someone else!
Saying that I know Veera reacted out of anger, but she cld have explained to him nicely too!
But then again, I try to look at the situation frm both Vee & Ba's point of view since Im a VeeBa shipper & I know both are flawed!
Veera did annoy me yesterday when she didnt appreciate Baldev's efforts of repairing the motors whole night even once!
The fact that she takes him for granted isnt something surprising, but I simply hated her behaviour towards him yesterday!
All this is build-up to Ratan finding out abt their relationship I guess!
And yeah... Baldev has still a long way to go before getting completely fit for marriage... infact both Vee & Ba have to learn a lot in their lives!
An extended separation is a must for them to struggle & face hardships in their love!
Only then will Veera realise his actual worth & Baldev will become more mature with time!

Even I have stopped watching the epi on tv long back!
Only read the LU & then watch the Baldev/VeeBa scenes if they are worth watching!
VeeBa still have so much potential in their story!
If only the cvs think that way & start a proper VeeBa track!
No hopes though! 😛

^^ About this, at the beginning of the scene, when she first enters the room, she's just surprised to see Baldev there. I don't think she expected him to take the matter seriously and so she was all 'Tu yahan kya kar raha hai?' A few minutes later, when he fixes the motor...you see her smiling...she's happy it's been fixed. She doesn't realize he's mad at her until his 'Koi yeh nahi samajhtha ki main galtiyan kartha hoon, par unko sudhaartha bhi hoon' wala dialogue. And then when he storms out, if I remember right, she does call out after him going 'Baldev, sun toh' or something.

I get where Baldev was coming from. This is something I get bugged about in real life as well. I get frustrated when people only focus on all the things I do wrong, while ignoring all the things I do right.

But like Veera, if I was mad at someone for something that was clearly their fault, and then find out that they fixed the problem that arose because of their mistake, but had them storm out and be mad at me 'cos they expected me to understand them better...without even waiting to may be hear my appreciation or whatever...I may be all...Arrey, pehle toh mistake tumhari thi...ab mujhpe kyun gussa kar rahe ho?! Hadh hai! May be more so if the other person was someone really close to me like my family or boyfriend. You know what I mean?

:D

For all you know, when Baldev and Veera talk about it properly, he'll apologize for being irresponsible and she'll apologize for shouting at him in front of everyone considering how important his izzat is to him etc. etc. (which is as it should be) and they'll hug and make up.

(Only to be spotted by Ratan, but that's another story. And going by the spoilers...usme bhi shayad zyada dhamaka nahi hoga if Ratan lets herself be easily pataoed by Nihal and Veera! I want Ratan to not be happy about VeeBa. Let the drama begin! But end main, jo hoga so hoga. I'll just take the good VeeBa scenes as and when I get them.)

Yeah thats wat I said in another thread too... even though I was annoyed at her for this, I understand where she was coming frm!
And both of them are helpless due to their mighty ego! 😆
I behave in a similar way after a fight with my bro... even wen he does a lot for me, he shows so much attitude that I get pissed off & refuse to apologize cos of my ego! 😆
Im like "koi bht bada ehsaan nahi kar rahe ho" 😆
So its normal!
And Baldev has a right to get pissed off too cos its actually true that ppl only remember his mistakes but dont appreciate if he does something good!

But we know that eventually both will say sorry & patch-up... only to be caught by Ratan! 😆
Even though I knw she wont have problem with Baldev as such, she will eventually refuse for the alliance once Bansuri starts humiliating the SS family!
