The Karan episode was an infatuation. She thought she knew him coz they were close friends from university. But there was a lot about Karan she didn't know. That is why she was shocked when she realised how selfish and self serving he is!! She was heartbroken more by the fact that she had been so wrong about him, than the fact that she was truly in love with him. That was not true love!!
But THIS... What she is feeling now with Baldev?? That is most definitely the REAL deal! She and Baldev have seen each other warts and all! She knows what he is like. She never had any illusions about him, like she did about Karan. But recently she has been discovering there is so much more to him.
Even when they were rivals, if needed she could rely on him. (He beat up the guys who teased her. He was supportive after the Karan incident). All this proved that even in rivalry, they had some rules of engagement!. That is why he was so great when he found out she knew about her birth. She leaned on him so much during that period. He understood her.
But now that they have buried the hatched and become actual Friends, it is clear that Veera is seeing an even different side to him than before. He is truly concerned for her, and wants her to achieve her goals. He is there to support her through everything. The way he cared for her when her feet got blisters, was a clear indication of the beautiful heart that Bladev conceals under his bravado and macho guy image!
It is THIS heart that Veera is falling for! This is fatal. Because once she falls in love with his heart, she can never fall out of love with him! Karan was a joke in comparison to what she is feeling now. This is the REAL deal. This time you are gone Veera!!
So yes, Baldev is Veera's first true love! I would say her only true love! Can't wait to see them together as a couple! Their union will not be an easy one. Definitely a "Teri Meri Prem Kahani Hain Mushkil" love story here! The best kind!! :)
