Who is Chaiji?? Originally I thought she was just some aunt of Sampooran's, not exactly a relative, now she keeps going on and on about how he was her son! Are the CV's trying to change the storyline and make us believe now that Sampooran was Chaiji's son? Makes no sense

Also, wasn't there a spoiler that said that Balwant was going to give up the sarpanch role? That never happened did it?

Sampooran lost his parents, and Chaiji has no children of her own as her husband left her so she treats Sampooran as her own son. In Punjabi families, we say puthar as in son/daughter to basically all our youngers - including nieces nephews. hope this answers your question

thanks, i guess it does answer, but lately she's been saying "mera beta" regarding Sampooran and she never said that before so I was confused

Just out of deep affection for sampooran.she loved him as if her own,& he in return loved her like a mother.
