That's the one thing I really appreciated in ETR2...was all those Bhansali-esque dance sequences that Drashti beautifully fulfills!

upcoming show: Ekta Kapoor signs up Shaleen Malhotra and Laksh Lalwani to romance Drashti Dhami for her upcoming show Small screen's super star actress Drashti Dhami is all set to make
a comeback on the big screen after a short break. The beautiful actress was last seen in EK Tha Raj Ek Thi Rani where she essayed the lead role. Drashti's role in ETRETR came to an end a few months back and this left fans of the actress greatly disappointed as they felt that she was the central aspect of the show. However, all Drashti Dhami fans can rest assured as very soon, the gorgeous actress will return to the small screen in another big budget show. News coming around is that Drashti has been signed up by none other than Ek Kapoor for her next show on Star Plus. Ekta Kapoor is the biggest name of the small screen and Ekta and Drashti's collaboration will definitely bring about a super successful project. This is the first
time that Drashti will be working with Ekta and a lot is expected from this upcoming series. The title of the show has still not been announced as the makers are still deciding on it. Besides Drashti, another popular TV actor Shaleen Malhotra has been signed up for this show as the lead actor. Shaleen was quite a popular name a few years back but has disappeared from the small screen since more than 3 years. This will be Shaleen's comeback show after a very long break. Besides Shaleen the makers have also roped in Laksh Lalwani as the second lead actor for the show. Laksh was last seen in & TV's show Adhuri Kahani Hamari and gained a lot of popularity though this show. Ekta Kapoor is planning to launch the show in the next few months and the shooting will begin sometime in September.
Another good news is that the first sequence
of the show will be shot in Austria and the series will be aired on Star Plus.

Ekta Kapoor's upcoming show starring Drashti Dhami, Shaleen Malhotra and Laksh Lalwani to be a triangular love story similar to Pardes It is already know that small screen Czarina Ekta Kapoor is planning to launch a new show on Star Plus which will star Drashti Dhami in the lead role. Besides Drashti, Shaleen Malhotra and Laksh Lalwani have also been roped in for this show playing parallel leads. While the name or rather title of this series has not been finalized yet, news going around is that this new show will be loosely based on 90's film Pardes starring Shahrukh Khan and Mahima Choudhary. Drashti's role will most certainly be inspired by Mahima whereas Shaleen's character would be on the lines of Shahrukh Khan. Laksh will play a role similar to Apurva Agnihotri and his character will be rich, handsome and also a spoilt brat. Drashti's character's name has been finalized as Naina and she will be a simple girl who does not want to get married because
of her bed ridden mother. Naina will then have a prince charming entering her life and she will fall head over heels in love with him. However, Naina will later face a big shock as her prince charming will turn out to be a devil in disguise. On the other hand, Shaleen's character will be a true friend of Naina and the two will ultimately fall in love. Besides the leading cast, a few more actors have been signed up for the show which includes Sangeeta Kapure, Alok Narula and Ruhi Singh. As reported earlier, the initial plot of the show will be shot in Austria and later on the team will move to India to shoot the major chunk of the series. This new show will be Ekta Kapoor's take on super-hit film Pardes and one has to wait and watch how Ekta uses the central plot of the film to weave her own story in the form of a daily soap.
