Farcical drama!

Just when you think it can't get worse, they go and prove you wrong!

What is with the desitv channels and third wheels? Why do they seem to think it impossible to run a show without the benefit of one?

I did not bother watching today's episode because I had a sneaking suspicion this was where it was going. I was hoping against hope to be proved wrong but well!

Hardly fifty epis ago, they brought in the fake wife. And now there is a fake rape victim who is arm twisting the King to marry her! Is there such poverty in creativity that they had to play the other woman drama again in such a short span of time? And use something as serious as rape charges to bring it about?

Seriously do these people watch what they make? And they are able to digest it? Cause I sure can't!

What started as a beautiful show is in tatters now! None of the characters are anywhere close to where they were when it all started. But for the superior acting talent, this show would fit right in there with all the regressive saas-bahu dramas! At least those guys are honest about what they are doing and not pretending to cover up the muck with a veneer of period gloss! For how different is show from the usual drivel? The same scheming vamp, the same clueless hero and the same heroine fighting a lone battle!

I would hold this show far more guilty than any of those. Because they've gotten hold of a era in history and not bothered to reference any of the events of the time, they have made a mockery of the institution of monarchy, the system of justice and the list goes on!

Maybe the heroine will win yet again. Maybe she will expose the vamps. Maybe she will prove her mettle yet again! But the thought only induces a yawn for we just saw pretty much the same thing unfold just a couple of months ago. Even the chief vamp is the same. So where is the difference? Of yes, I forgot, the King is not really one by birth! He's just some baby the dowager Queen bought at some brothel! While I am the last to hold his birth against him, I have to try hard to suppress laughter when dialogues like " I am King, I am Queen' fly around! The truth is the King is not entitled to his position by birth and that alone qualifies him in a monarchy. And when the King is no King, how can the Queen be Queen? So what is the fight about even? The evil old Queen Mother is now interested in revenge games when the throne is within her reach? When she has one foot in the grave already? Really?

The conspiracy is about as strong as a house of cards. With a single truth, all of it will unravel. And how long can the truth be kept under wraps? When it benefits both parties to reveal it at the earliest? If dacoit dad gets to know that the evil Queen Mother conspired to get him sentenced to death and the fake rape victim knows that it is she who killed her brother, the evil Queen Mother will be toast! So where is the intelligence when she has exposed herself and her plan to practically everybody other than the King, the Queen and the dowager Queen? And what's with the dimwitted royals not even wondering how the lady who was just about to breathe her last a few days ago has them running around in circles now? Maybe the writers imagine their audience to share the IQ levels of their characters? Or maybe they don't care?!

What is this show about even now? Love? What love? There is no trust on either side. If the King does not trust the Queen's judgment, then the Queen does not trust his ability to handle the truth about his own birth! They both think they know best! And the third wheels that appear at alarming frequency! Sure, the very ingredients that make for an epic romance!

So, if the succession battle is irrelevant and the love story always has a third wheel attached to it, what is my incentive to watch this contrived drama?!

Actually I really didn't watch desi tv shows in Hindi r my native language as they all r same in concept but with diff. actors. previously we used to have diff.genre shows so that we can choose. But the sad part is now a days even though they have different back drops, they come to the same point Saas bahu saga with 3rd n 4th wheel stories. If they don't work we always have daayans, witches etc... so they rule the rooster. For TRP sake they can do any thing.

I totally agree with you the show is going down and really the cvs are expecting the audiences to be stupid...
The appealing factor are the Rana and the Gayatri but they have tarnished his character to a dumb wit fellow and Gayatri, as u said is going to either fight the battle alone or separation ...

ETR2 has gone from bad to worse now. At least other shows had some romantic track that viewers enjoyed before the shows went bad. ETR2 never even gave such opportunity for the viewers.

Exactly, i feel bad for her.She's always cheated by the scripts.I think ST is not responsible for all the mess.I have watched all his shows, whatever it may be, he always gives lead centric tracks and shows beautiful romantic tracks.I hated DD's previous serial as they never showed the original story.But, initially , atleast for 1 year that serial was unique and both the leads were strong and the chemistry was amazing.

In this serial all the actors are cheated in the name of periodic story.
I hate to say this, but, i really hope some miracle happens and they get rid of the current writers especially nilu, or else i hope the show shuts down and actors can look for better opportunities rather than wasting their talent here.

@bertie, I heard from some people that it's nothing to do with the story, it's the personal preference of nilu aunty.She is friend of actors playing avdesh and rageshwari itseems.And after seeing her tweets i am also feeling that she's twisting the story to accommodate these actors.

I always feel bad when people bash creatives.But, i was very happy when people bashed her for her sarcastic tweet.😆She gives such cringe worthy tracks, and if others criticize her writing she can't take it.If she can't take criticism,she should keep quite, why blame others for her mistakes?

IMAO, they've lost the plot in their craze to create drama.

Third wheels work in other shows, because people are connected to the love story of the leads and that story is developed over 100 epis atleast. Well, here they fast tracked that part and brought one thirdw heel and now another.

As a viewer there is nothing for me to connect in this story. both the leads are always being played by vamps and they haven't shown any heroic qualities to cheer for them. It's a yawn! again and again.

@Raj- I had a suspicion about the new entries.These characters are seemingly imposed on the main story, that was sold.

ST's PH's previous show on LOK tanked, when the writer got his friend playing the third wheel married to the FL and twisted the story to accommodate him. May be he should warn his co-creator about the dangers of mixing friendship with plots.😆

I thought this show was about a raja and rani. Not a raja who goes around marrying every girl who cries wolf .
