Part:1
Epi. begins with BRM threatening Sartaj with a knife at his throat to spit the secret out else she'll kill him right away. Sartaj agrees and tells her that Ranaji is his son. BRM is completely shocked at this revelation and asks him to repeat it. He says Ranaji is his son thru a courtesan and this is the secret that Rajmata wants to keep hidden. BRM asks him the complete story and he narrates her the backstory. BRM laughs hysterically thinking Rana IndravadanSingh Dev is son of a robber & a courtesan. She tells Sartaj, she has never heard such great news till date and she wants to gift him his life but in return he'll have to swear his loyalty to her. RM & Gayatri didnt help him and his own son Ranaji is going to kill him. Only she can save him now. Sartaj says but Ranaji will neither listen to her nor him. BRM asks him to not worry about all that and listen to her only; she will save his life and get him out of jail too.
RM is looking after arrangements for Makar Sankranti festival. Gayatri comes there. RM tells her tomorrow is Makar Sankrsnti festival and it heralds the beginning of Basant (Spring) season too. On this day, the King & Queen pray to God for welfare of their kingdom and fly kites. The King is the first one to fly the kite and Queen holds the reel. The Kite signifies the bond b/w husband and wife. It signifies that staying attached (to family) is required to soar high (in life) and the string must be firm enough to hold them together. Gayatri is very worried about Ranaji killing Sartaj the next day and expresses it to RM. RM says she understands her worry but Sartaj is a sinner and tomorrow he is going to be punished for his sins. Gayatri asks why tomorrow on Makar Sankranti only? RM says in Mahabharat Bhishma Pitamah too chose this day for his death because the soul attains salvation if one dies on Makar Sankranti day. She says life always got Sartaj at wrong time wrong place but he is getting death at right day, right time & right place.
BRM is overjoyed. She thinks she got the secret and now will easily get the throne too. She sits on throne delighted and says the throne is the biggest dream of her life. Then she is shown talking to her alter-ego wherein she vows to avenge her insult and destroy everyone instrumental in dethroning her earlier. She vows to acquire the throne and make RM, Ranaji & Gayatri puppets in her hands. Here RM tells Gayatri to not think much about Ranaji killing Sartaj tomorrow and consider it to be fate ordained. A guard informs RM that he has to talk to her in private. RM asks him to talk in Gayatri's presence only. Guard requests her to check on Sartaj immediately. Scene shifts back to BRM where she decides to snatch Gayatri's life for snatching the throne from her and avenge her insult. She laughs saying RaGa and RM should be vigilant now as their decline has begun.
Guard brings RM & Gayatri to jail and informs that Sartaj got a rope somehow and tried to hang himself. RM orders to bring Sartaj down and leave them alone. BRM watches this hiding there. Sartaj pleads to let him die. RM asks him in stern voice to stop putting an act & tell why is he so desperate to die that he couldnt even wait until tomorrow. He says he is atoning for his sins. RM angrily asks why he cant await his death till tomorrow. He says coz he doesnt want his son to commit the sin of killing his own father. With folded hands he pleads RM that he isnt asking to spare him & she can kill him whenever she wants but not taint his son's hands with his blood. Gayatri melts & gives him water. RM tells her Sartaj is faking. He is trying to make her emotional and save his life. He has killed ppl all his life and he couldnt kill himself today is impossible. Sartaj cries and requests Gayatri with folded hands to save her husband from committing sin of killing his own father. He pleads to take his life but save his son. Gayatri is moved. RM isnt convinced. She tells Sartaj to try hanging himself again in the cell if he wants but nobody will come to rescue him this time. She drags Gayatri out and tells her that Sartaj is only acting but Gayatri doesnt agree and says he wants to atone for his sins and is ready to die but doesnt want to be killed at his son's hands. She says they will have to stop Ranaji from committing this sin. RM asks how. Gayatri says by telling him the truth. BRM is watching everything and smirks. RM says Gayatri is making even bigger mistake to save Ranaji from committing one mistake. If she wanted to tell Ranaji the truth why would she hide the secret for 35 yrs. Gayatri says secrets cant be hidden forever and maybe its time for this secret to come out. She too shudders thinking about the repercussions but she trusts Ranaji to understand RM's decision 35 yrs back. RM says, Enough! What if it backfires? Ranaji is very proud of his lineage. He will be shattered if he comes to know that he isnt a Royal blood but a robber & courtesan's. Her dreams that she has painstakingly woven since last 25 yrs, too will be shattered alongwith. She walks off. Gayatri looks on. BRM is glad.
Part:2
In jail BRM asks Sartaj to see how she created rift b/w RM & Gayatri. Till y'day they were Mother & Daughter and today they have turned Mother-in-law & Daughter-in-law. Now this rift will grow so wide that Sartaj can escape safely. Sartaj folds his hands to her that he is a robber but can never be conniving like her. BRM leaves.
Gayatri is passing thru the corridor thinking about telling Ranaji the truth. She sees Ranaji slapping Laksh. Ranaji tells Laksh the respect of ancestors depends on deeds of their descendants. They belong to Royal family of Ameerkot and how will their subjects trust Laksh if they find him conspiring against Ameerkot and helping the British. He says he is not only the King of Ameerkot but protector & guardian of the kingdom too. This is his identity and he wont let his reputation get tarnished by Laksh's misdeeds. Laksh apologizes to him with folded hands. Ranaji warns him to never do this again else he'll forget that he is his brother. Gayatri recalls RM's words that Ranaji is very proud of his pedigree and all hell will break loose if he knows his truth. She gets tensed.
Part:3
Gayatri prays Ambe Maa to show her right path as she has to stop her husband from committing the sin of killing his father but she neither can reveal the secret nor hide it. She seeks Goddess' guidance to save her husband, family & Ameerkot from getting destroyed. BRM comes there and keeps her hand on Gayatri's shoulder. Gayatri wipes her tears and looks at BRM. Faking sympathy BRM says hiding tears wont hide Gayatri's pain. She knows her pain & dilemma too. She too got tensed learning Ranaji himself is going to kill Sartaj and thought that he shouldnt kill Sartaj. Gayatri says Sartaj has committed a crime and he'll be punished for that. She turns to leave. BRM asks what about a son killing his own father? Gayatri looks at BRM, totally shocked that she knows this secret.
Precap
BRM tells Gayatri, she knows what she should do. The Sun of Makar Sankranti will either illumine Ranaji's life or eclipse with darkness of sin of killing his father. In jungle Ranaji tells his troops they searched every nook and cranny but couldnt find Sartaj. He sees a man covered in blanket running and asks him to stop. Sartaj looks back. Ranaji shoots him. He is shocked to see the face of the man he shot.
