Hello ladies. My apologies for posting and disappearing, even on the earlier post. Some work or the other generally beckons.Sush, thanks for posting regularly and providing a thread for, from what I see, some very interesting discussion on the episodes.

Missed the epi. 😔
Will get back later after catching up.
I am actually very much OK with RNJ not showing any kind of attraction to Gayatri. For me, that is very important here. Because he has already sworn himself to Sula on and on...feeling for Gayatri at a physical level...however subtle..would make him a hypocrite. Also, RNJ is a smart man- he would be able to read what those emotions are and they wouldn't please him- they would alarm him at this point in time. I like the way they are going about it. His hatred and mistrust rules over everything else...whatever he has felt for Gayatri is too subtle to have cautioned him...
And now he feels repentant...for a long time, his feelings would hide under that label...
Loving this phase of RNJ falling in love...it is so slow and subtle...it has crept on him...like the dusk (positive here) that came unnoticed...the beauty of which went unnoticed by him...and one day, he looks up to find the moon...and swears it is the most beautiful thing he has ever seen...and this would be the most peaceful and happy time in his entire life.❤️
😆
@ chicksoup: Agree with you entirely. It would be a good change if the creatives showed that Sulokshna was indeed a good soul and if they (as voiced by Gayatri) continue to respect the love that they shared.
I really liked the last para. Well put.
@ Danseuse aka Rekha: I appreciate your logical questions especially the one regarding the hired "hit"-graze-the-arm-man.
@ Wooster (may I call you Wooster instead of Bertie?): Very well-written, as always. Perhaps I may be able to revert to it again in a while.
Much as I would prefer that they maintain Sulokshna as a positive character, I can't help but remember a couple of things -- Sulokshna died or disappeared after a car accident and someone who is obsessed with ensuring that she is not replaced in Ranaji's life lurks around the palace. It is far too reminiscent of Rebecca and its adaptation across the border -- Noorpur ki Rani. So, either Sulokshna is alive or one of her obsessed confidantes or someone with other ulterior motives (e.g.: ensuring that Ranaji remains heirless) is roaming the corridors of the palace.
This was brought home by the fact that the lady in black was in the bedchamber during the exchange between the King and the Queen in which he blurts out inadvertently, albeit leaving it incomplete, that "Gayatri is his ...". From the point of view of the creatives, what was the purpose of her presence during that conversation? Will it act as a trigger for some more sociopathic behvaiour?
