Jaane kyun

Dinner time
Sharda came to Sakshi's room to see her condition. She saw that Karan was working on his laptop while Sakshi was sleeping.
Karan: Aare mom aap. Kuch chahiye tha.
Sharda: Beta khana lag gaya hai. Main bus Sakshi ko dekhne aai thi.
Karan: Mom woh sirf natak kar rahi hai aur kuch nahi.
Sharda: Karan tum yeh kya bol rahe ho. Sakshi ko bukhar tha main ne khud dekha.
Karan: Mom kitchen se piyaz (onion) gaib hue hain kya?
Sharda: Piyaz kyun
Karan: Kyunke main ne bhi ek baar aisa hi kia tha keh apne pass piya rakh liay the aur mujhe bukhar hogaya tha ab Sakshi ne mera idea hi chori kia hoga khud toh kuch nahi kar sakti...sirf thapar mar sakti hai ( He said the last sentence very lightly that Sharda did not heard it)
Sharda: Aisa kuch nahi kia usne. Uska sar dard horaha tha, main ne dekha toh usse tez bukhar bhi tha. Aur agar usne natak kia hai toh kyun kare gi.
Karan: Mujhe daant parwane ke liay.
Sharda: Kya matlab

Karan told her all the events that took place from the last night. But he excluded the part when he talked about Sakshi's parents and she slapped him.

Sharda: Lekin Sakshi aisa nahi kar sakti.
Karan: Acha agar aisa hai toh abhi usse uthai aur boliye keh uski mummy aai hain dekhi ga abhi uth kar khari hojai gi.
Sharda: Karan beta aisa kuch nahi hai.
Karan: Phir uthai usse.

Sharda unwillingly called Sakshi but she did not responded. She shooked her and felt her whole body very hot.

Sharda: Karan yeh khud dekho iss sa jism tap raha hai

As soon as he placed his hand on her forehead he felt electric shock all over his body. It was such a nice feeling touching her soft, delicate skin that he does not wanted to move his hand.

Karan: Aare haan isse toh bahut tez bukhar hai. Sakshi. Sakshi. Sakshi.
Sharda: Isse tez bukhar hai aur ab uth bhi nahi rahi toh kahin yeh behosh.
Karan: Main abhi doctor ko bulata hu.

In no time their family doctor had arrived. He prescribed some medicines and told them to take good care of her health. He told them she had lack of sleep and lack of food so her blood pressure dropped and she fainted. If her condition worsen then he had to be admitted to hospital for full treatment.

Sharda whispered in Karan's ear: Main keh rahi thi na keh Sakshi ki tabiyat sach main kharab hai.

Karan felt guilty because of his wrong act.
All went for the dinner.

Sharda: Karan main tumhe khana kamre main de deti hu.

Karan did not said any thing. He was very worried about Sakshi's health. He did not listened to her rather he insulted her and even did not trusted Sharda. His guilt start to kill him inside.
Sharda send the food for him but it was left untouched.

At midnight Sharda came to give him a glass of milk. She saw him massaging Sakshi's forehead and applying cold cloth on her forehand. Food was placed as it was given.
Sharda: Hosh main Sakshi toh Karan ko apne kareeb na la saki per uski behoshi ne yeh kar dia. Raat ke waqt hi hame suraj ki ehmiyat (importance) ka pata chalta hai. Karan ko bhi Sakshi ki ehmiyat pata chal jai gi.

Whole night Karan was by Sakshi's side taking good care of her.
At around 5 am he slipped into sleep. Sun rays peeped from the window making Sakshi waking up from her deep slumber. She felt something cold on her forehead. It was the cloth that Karan left while sleeping. She was very angry yet disappointed from him. She tried to move but felt her hand held by Karan. She was about to wake him up but then his yesterday's voice echoed in her ears.

TUM MAIN EGO HAI
TUM STUBBORN HO
TUMHARA CHARACTER KITNA LOW HAI
TUM AISI HI HO YA TUMHARE PARENTS NE SIKHAYA YEH SAB.

She felt disgusted by Karan. She carefully removed her hand from him.
She was feeling just a little bit better than yesterday. She advanced towards the wardrobe and silently took a bag. Then she placed her clothes and important items in it. She looked at the clock, it was 5 am. She thought maybe no one will be awake so it will be easy for her to escape.
As expected there was no one in the living room so she quietly sneaked outside the house fulfilling Karan's wish.
