I know many of you are upset with how slowly some writers are updating their works (me included) or have left them incomplete altogether but guys...are some of you for real? That doesn't give you the right to bash us writers. The anger is fully justified but please put yourself in our shoes. Not all of us can juggle a personal life, social life, and professional life equally. Requesting for updates is fine, but seriously? Going on to call some writers foul names (you all know who you are) and demanding for updates is hardly anything but appropriate.
Also, I read a comment that kinda irked me which said something along the lines of "if you've started a story then it's your responsibility to finish them". I don't agree with this to a great extent. First off, for a writer, any plot for them is like a seed. It takes time for every writer to water that seed, give it plenty of sunshine, and make it sprout into a beautiful flower. Along the way to get that seed to turn into a flower there are various obstacles and we try to overcome them to the best of our abilities. The term "responsibility" was used to pretty much say "you HAVE to finish it because of us" but here's the thing, take all the famous writers in the world. Dan Brown, JK Rowling, William Shakespeare, James Patterson and etc. Do you really think they began writing their story and finished it without a stop?
A writer's worst enemy is a writer's block. Every writer suffers from them, even the great ones, and they are difficult to overcome. I understand readers here get impatient (I do too) but that gives you no right at all to speak so rudely to the writer. Honestly, if you think that by insulting a writer for not updating or responding will get you an update then I'm sorry to say but you are an idiot. That will only serve to aggravate the writer and remove/discontinue the story altogether.

Another thing I want to touch on is forcing your opinions. I have read these comments on my works as well as several other works. I can understand we all here are RagNa fans and want to see RagNa and maybe you will maybe you won't but does that mean that you begin to criticise the story altogether? I've felt it numerous times where I read some comments and I just think "God..I don't even want to continue this story anymore" because I get annoyed with the lack of open mindedness some people can have. To be a reader is to have faith in your favorite writer, something which I'm sorry to say a few of us lack (not singling out anyone here..these people know who they are). This not only demotivates the writer from writing the story but also ends up affecting those who actually enjoy the story.
To many of you this may sound like I'm ranting and I would like to confirm your doubts that I am. I am beyond enraged to see the attitude of some readers here on this forum against the writers and their stories. EMA forum for me was a special forum because it was home to some of the kindest and welcoming people I knew but it seems as if all has changed as time goes by. Some people here are getting ruder and ruder as they are not getting what they want and if you really want to know why so many people are quitting this forum then here's a tip, go read some of the comments on some of the FFs (not just mine). You all will be surprised to know how many times some of us writers have brushed up our stories just to appease the readers but there's a limit to everything. This rude attitude towards some of the writers here is astonishing. If this continues then do not be surprised if I too bid adieu to this forum in the near future. Granted this post doesn't apply to many of you but there are some of you here and you know exactly who you are.
I may come off as arrogant and ruthless in this post but here's what, I honestly don't give a damn. I am sick and tired of reading such things and getting complaints about my stories. If you have a problem, then please don't read them. Nobody is forcing you to. People can bash me as much as they want for speaking my mind but I have seen this forum losing some of its best writers and I've had it. Some of you will say I sound vain and to be honest when it comes to my stories and my intellectual property yes.
