Why Ragna is illegal?

Why say ragna marriage illegal?! Just because one doesn't get married in court of law doesn't mean marriage is not legal!! Rags marry Kalpi only because he wanted her to trust him and wait for him a year after this so called marriage to Paaki will come to an end!
For me I believe their marriage is real and genuine because the married in front of god! And in court marriage who do they put their trust in?! After being married one always seeks gods blessings? Why? Isn't it because they trust in god?! So wat is the difference in marrying in front if god and in court when after you seek gods blessings? Why seek gods blessings if you don't believe he is more powerful than anything in this world?!
And far as we can see I'm sure marriage isn't real so why fuss about something which is not real! If one respects god more than court who are we to question that? As far as we know god provides the strongest of blessings and power and what more do we need to seal a marriage other than gods blessings?!
