May be this line is connected to future when Kamala maa messes up the groom and Kalpi find out that Ragav proposed for Pakhi (Kamla maa misunderstanding of course) she might think of this line. There will be twists and misunderstandings before the wedding. We might get the real confession of I love u from Kalpi this way. I see her more aggressive now. I dont think she will take it as easy and she will fight for her love.

I think that dialogue was for future tracks: ie when Kalpi finds out he wanted to avenge Kapoor via using Pakhi!! He would of course care of what Kalpi thinks about that, but at the same time, he will act like he does not care, to ensure Kalpi remains with him!!
