Chap 33 :
Announcement of plan landing on Sydeney airport breaks Kalpana's sleep and she wakes up finding her head on Raghav's shoulder. She tries to move but she can't as her hair gets stuck to button of his shirt. She looks at Raghav who is still sleeping. She tries to free her hair silently from his button but it breaks Raghav's sleep and their eyes meet. He helps her to free her hair not removing his gaze from her. She becomes uncomfortable and lowers her eyes and mutters inaudible Thanks' to him.
They land on the airport and the cab from the hotel was waiting for them. They reach hotel and Kalpana was informed that only one room is booked for Mr and Mrs Raghav singhania. Raghav gives her a don't know look and mutters something like - Stupid Sammy'. But he was surprised by Kalpana's reaction when Kalpana accepts the room keys and says - It's okay, Raghav. It is natural that Sammy will book only one room for us.'
They go to their suite. The suite consists of one bedroom with attached bathroom, one hall, one common restroom, a little kitchen and a balcony. Entering into the suite, Kalpana puts cold water on Raghav's plans saying - Raghav, Please don't argue. I will stay in hall and you will take the bedroom'. Raghav just nods his head in disappointment and enters into the bedroom which is designed as Kalpana's taste . He had instructed the manager that he does not want any other arrangement but the bedroom of honeymoon suite must be redecorated as his wife's choice. They get fresh and head for the hospital.
Kalpana goes to Rahul who is pacing restlessly in front of Purba's room. Seeing Kalpana there, he hugs him tightly exclaiming into joy that purba is responding to treatment. Her fingers and eyes had started moving. She will be alright soon. Raghav looks at happy Rahul and Kalpana and mutter in undertone - why can't they meet each other without hugging or touching. Samrat alone was not enough that now this rahul had started the same thing'. Rahul looks at Raghav who is throwing draggers to him with his eyes and goes to him extending his hand - Thanks Mr. Singhania, It is only because of you that purba is getting better. Thanks for all the help.'
Kalpana looks at Purba from the peep hole of the door and gets happy seeing her after a long time. A nurse comes saying that visiting time for evening will end in 15 minutes and only one person can stay with the patient at night. Hearing it, Kalpana announces that she will stay with purba as Rahul needs some rest; he is tired and asks Raghav to take Rahul with him.
Rahul tries to protest and Raghav also tries to make Kalpana understand but Kalpana was adamant on his decision. And then again asks Raghav to take Rahul with him as he must need someone to share his feelings. Rahul and Raghav reach hotel and Raghav asks the manager about extra room but the manager said that their all rooms are booked as he remembered his and Raghav's conversation in which Raghav had asked him to not to provide him an extra room though he asks for. After arguing with manager and not getting room, defeated Raghav takes rahul to his room and Rahul is perplexed to see that hall is decorated for candle light dinner. Raghav looks at the decoration and curses himself as he forgets to ask the house keeper not to decorate room when Kalpana decided to stay in the hospital.
Rahul feels awkward that he just spoiled Raghav and Kalpna's plan. He is about to ask forgiveness from Raghav for troubling him and Kalpana, House keeper knocks on the door before entering.
House keeper asks Raghav curtly - What will you like to have for dinner, sir?' and he asks again - what is for mam..oh sorry sir?' the house keeper stammers noticing Rahul there and a smile escape from his lips. Raghav fumes in anger as he can sense what house keeper is thinking and same does not escape Rahul's eyes and a playful smirk plays on Rahul's lips and he says playfully - Darling, order some salad for me. You know that I like healthy food only. I am already impressed by your arrangements sweetheart' inviting an angry glare from Raghav.
Raghav orders food for both of them and housekeeper leaves the room. Raghav is about to burst on Rahul when rahul speaks - I never knew Raghav that you love me so much. Candle light dinner for me. Wow it's really awesome'. Raghav gets really angry and shouts - what is all this you are blabbering? You know what the housekeeper think about us. Have you gone mad?' Rahul bursts into laughter - I am sorry. I could not help myself from teasing you. Raghav Singhania got stuck with me in honeymoon suite. What more bad can happen with you?'
Housekeeper delivers food for Rahul and Raghav. They finish their meal and then start drinking. Rahul in his drunk state : I am sorry. I spoiled your plans' Raghav : I am sorry, I just planed something for me and kalpana though we are here to be with you, to support you . Don't tag me as selfish'. Rahul : I will not. We both know how much it hurt to be stay away from someone we love because of our mistakes. If I would not let her drive that day, that accident would never happened. But important thing is she is recovering. Thanks for coming to help me'. After greeting Rahul goodnight, Raghav goes to bedroom and Rahul dozes off on the couch of hall. Rahul wakes up early in the morning and after getting freshened up, he leaves for the hospital. Rahul reaches hospital and goes to Purba's room. He places a kiss on her forehead and then turns to see Kalpana sleeping. He wakes up kalpana and says her that he is here to take care of Purba. She can go to hotel and freshen up.
Kalpana - I want to stay here with purba. She does not move her hand and blinks her eyes at night.'
Rahul - oh..oh.. she only gestures for me and please leave me and my wife alone for some time.
Kalpana - Rahul' in fake angry tone.
Rahul - Kalpana I know you are here for me and Purba. And I will need you at the time of experiment. I know I will not be able to handle it alone. Be there for me. But till then spend some time with Raghav. Have mercy on your husband.'
Kalpana blushes - I am thinking to take a tour of the city with Raghav. But I will stay here at night with Purba'
Rahul speaks playfully- OK but please has your dinner with Mr. singhania. I don't think he will want me as partner again in candle light dinner'
Kalpana blushes again and gives a smile to Rahul and speaks - Like purba really liked my presence on your second date. I was just there to help her when you did not turn up.'
Rahul - Why didn't I turn up there Kalpana because Samrat locked in me bathroom and according to him, he was not alone in this plan'
Kalpana laughs - I clearly remember how Purba got angry on us knowing the truth. She is just as stubborn as Raghav'
Rahul - You know Kalpana , same thing came in my mind . Your Raghav is just male version of my Purba'
Nurse interrupted their conversation and Kalpana bids good bye to Rahul and comes to hotel. Raghav is still sleeping. She goes to the room and finds the room decorated according to her taste. She stares at sleeping Raghav with love for few moments and comes out of room without waking him up. She goes to washroom to take a bath. She comes out of washroom in bathing suit and faces Raghav who has come out of room after waking up.
He looks at Kalpana who is looking like a fresh flower of morning. The water drops are pouring from wet hair like dew drops on flower. He just can't take his eyes from him. Kalpana can see his love and his desire in his eyes and she lowers her eyes. She becomes slightly uncomfortable. Sensing her uneasiness, he turns around but he still can see her reflection in the mirror which is in front of him. He looks at her reflection for a moment and he closes his eyes though it was so hard for him to not look at her and Kalpana witnesses it. Kalpana looks at him with respect and love. Her love for him is growing day by day and he had her won respect on the day they got married. Still something is missing in their relation - trust or her fear to trust.
Kalpana gets ready. She wears flared blue long skirt with white top and a printed scarf. She just put hoops on her ear and lots of colourful bangles in her hand. She applies just kajal and mascara in her eyes and small amount of lip-gloss on her lips. She is about to put vermillion on her forehead but she keeps the box smiling to herself.
Raghav gets ready in casual t-shirt and denims and comes out of the room and looks at Kalpana who is standing near dressing table. She is looking completely different. He had seen her in Indian wear and western wear but this time she is looking different and stunning in her simple dress. Kalpana looks at him and asks - How am I looking, Raghav'. Raghav who is lost on her beauty can only mutter Superb'. Disappointed Kalpana asks - Is everything perfect? Are you sure Raghav?' and Raghav looks at her surprised and notices she is not wearing vermillion and he comes near to her and without saying anything and lifts a pinch of vermillion from the box and puts on her forehead. Kalpana - Now, We should live, I am hungry and I don't want to have hotel's breakfast. Raghav - You are still imperfect. Give me 2 minutes' and he goes to his room and comes out with a box and open the box and Kalpana looks at anklets which she wanted to wear are lying in the box. She is overwhelmed seeing that he remembered her small wishes. Her love makes her forget everything and she just forwards her ankle lifting her skirt slightly and Raghav puts anklets on one ankle and she forwards her second ankle and he puts second anklet on it. He stands up and comes near to her and whispers in her ear - I don't want to lose you in this unknown city. Be always near to me. I have spend one decade without you but now I don't have strength to stay a moment apart from you. The sound of these anklets will always help me to find you' and his brown eyes meet her deep ocean like black eyes and they get lost into each other's eyes.
