So, I guess I am also missing RagNa during this past weekend. That's why I was going through their past scenes. Alright, so I will admit - maybe it could also be because I am anxious about going back to Uni on Monday morning so trying to divert my brain from everything 😆
Alright, one RagNa scene always stood out to me. Did I ever mention that this RagNa's store-room scene is one of my favorite scenes?
Why, you may wonder? Well, this scene was so perfectly emoted that I just couldn't help it. It was so beautifully done by the actors that I just can't get over it. Alright, so let me take you on a ride where we will see this scene a little more closely. Let's start from the beginning of the specific moments that I am talking about.
Whenever poor Raghav got a little bit closer to his much-wanted revenge, he was hindered. This time, again, he was stopped by something so insignificant - her hair. Now, it wasn't just about her anymore, it was also about any part of her. It all had power over him, that he was so helpless in front of her. He wanted to so badly race towards his goal, but he just couldn't. Her one hand on his shoulder (a very light touch) stopped him from going. Of course, he would be frustrated 😆
Alas, Kalpi herself didn't have any clue of the dilemma he was in because of her. To her, the whole situation was mind-boggling. I bet the thought in her mind at that instant was: What is wrong with this demented person? Why does he have so many mood swings?
Of course Raghav would be frustrated. That little thing had so much power over him, and she didn't even realize. The best part about this instant? His frustrated expression and gesture. He just couldn't believe himself and his fate.
He knew he couldn't get mad at himself. Asking her if she was alright was never an option because that would be like admitting to himself that he cared. He was already having a hard enough time without the admission of his feelings lol. So, he did what he always does best. He yelled at her. Instead of asking nicely to show that he cared, he masked that with frustration and arrogance. He inquired what she was doing there, and when she said that she got in trouble, the first thing that he said was "Shut up!" As usual, he didn't want to hear that. He had had enough! Every part of his body went to her whenever she needed help. He didn't need to be reminded of that again, especially by her. Again, the truth was blatantly staring him in the face that he wanted it to stop. He wasn't telling Kalpi to shut up. He was telling his feelings and care for her to shut up.
Then came his another famous dialogue: "Tumhe humesha musibat mein phasne ki aur dusro ko phasane ki aadat ban chuki hai." Of course, Kalpi didn't know what he meant, but the audience knew. He knew. Oh, how much he knew - so well too - that having feelings for her and always running to her will only come in between his goal to get his revenge. He didn't choose to develop feelings for her. It happened and he was dreading this so much. When she says, "Mujhe koi aadat nahiin hai sir," he merely scoffs at her for being so ignorant. Of course, she didn't know. He never let her know. But that's another thing that frustrated him. How could she not know how much he cared when he practically ran to her to help?
He was just helpless in this scene because he knew that he could not leave her alone if she was in trouble, even though his main goal was revenge. I loved how he was fighting with himself so much. This scene was so beautifully portrayed. And as usual, lovely Kalpi looked at him cluelessly like he was some demented boss 😆
So, all in all, I just loved Raghav's frustration in this whole scene, because it was just so fun to watch his denial 😆 😆
What about you guys? Which one was your favorite scene of RagNa? And why?
