PART 13

Virat came back to hospital… he saw her sleeping with a innocent smile on her face. He felt as if all his worriers and sorrow vanished in her bright smile… he sat near her on chair… whole night… watching her….

Next day…. Sun rose with a new shine and warmth for two poor souls… who were together yet separated… manvi opened her eyes slowly…. She felt something heavy on her hand… she moved her eyes and was surprised to see Virat sleeping….resting his head on her hand…holding it tightly…. She kept admiring him…he looked like a blessed child….his hairs were kissing his forehead … he flinched a little when his hairs fell on his eyes…. She moved his hairs. As she was doing it….he opened his eyes and saw her…. With one hand moving his hairs and other in his tight hold… she pulled her both hands suddenly back... An awkward silence filled in the room. They kept staring at each other….

When the sweet silence was broke by Karan's voice… he came with breakfast for manvi….

Karan:- Karan at ur service mam'm…. (Placing Tiffin in front of her)

Manvi smiled looking at him…

Manvi:- thank u so much… chef!!!

Karan:- how did u know I made it??

Manvi:- seeing Tiffin… and I know my friend won't bring outside food for her sick friend!!!

Virat:- hello guys… I m here too …. (Trying to catch their attention)

Karan:- I know… but I came here to meet my friend not u….

Virat:- oh… so I m not ur friend now??

Karan:- Oye… senty mat ho…. I packed breakfast for all three of us…so now u both get fresh…. I will prepare plates for us!!

Manvi tried standing… but she lost her balance… but before she could hurt herself again… virat hold her from her waist and balanced her…. manvi felt as if she would drown in his deep green eyes….. which were more like drug for her…. Karan noticed them …. He smirked….and cleared his throat…. To bring them back from wonderland!!!

Virat:- wait… I'll help u… just hold my hand and walk….

Virat helped her towards bathroom…and then made her sit on couch. He got ready… and all three sat on couch…. Enjoying their breakfast..

Karan:- how's it???

Virat:- awesome Karan…u r too good in cooking…. !!!! Why don't u join chef's position in our hotel…. as u r not interested in Ur current position in company...!!!

Virat spoke munching on alu parathas…. But manvi made small face….

Manvi:- I too want that paratha…. I can't eat this tasteless porridge more…. (Making innocent face)

Virat:- it's for ur good health… just eat it…..! (with straight face)

Manvi:- (mumbling under her breathe) rakshas vadhera!!!!

Virat:- I heard it!!...😆

Manvi bite her lip… here Karan was enjoying them, so at ease with each other after long time….. Manvi looked towards Karan….

Manvi:- Karan…. U did partiality in friendship…. U brought this tasteless porridge for me and paratha's for him….

Karan:- don't worry… I promise as u get fine… I'll take u to dinner date…. K!!!

Virat stopped eating… as manvi agreed on his offer…. Smiling.

Virat:- k…..then…. When r u taking US???!!

Karan:- what!! U will join us!!... For ur kind information I said dinner date…. So u r not allowed!! (Winking)

Virat:- what!!... (Getting angry)do whatever u want….. I m leaving…. Bye!!!

And he stormed out taking his coat ….

Karan started laughing… seeing Virat getting jealous…

Manvi:- is Virat ko kya ho gaya hai??... aur tum kyu itna has rahe ho???

Karan:- u both r big dumbo's…. !!

Manvi:- what!!... u r calling me dumb!!! (Pointing finger on him)

Karan:- ok baba… I m sorry!! (Joining hand) now complete ur breakfast…. I'll go watch out on my friend!!!!... Bye!!!

Manvi: - k… bye!!!

Madan was working in his friend workshop….when he meet his old friend accidently…

Madan:- are… Rakesh…tu yahan??

(rakesh!!!! U here???)

Rakesh:- hey Madan…. Kitne salon baad yaar!!!

(hey madan…. After long time…huh!!!)

Madan:- haan!!!!... kaisa hai tu??

(how r u???)

Rakesh:- I m totally fine!!!! Latur mein uss earthquake ke baad hum mil hi nahi paye!!!... tumhari beti kaisi hai???... usse kuch nahi hua na??

(I m totally fine!!! We really lost our contact after that latur earthquake!!!! By the way…how is ur daughter???)

Madan:- fortunately hum dono uss din bach gaye….. !!! or batao tum delhi mein kya kar rahe ho???

(fortunately….we were saved that day. U tell….hows ur life here in delhi???)

Rakesh:- mere khud ka business hai, jo aacha chal raha hai…. Waise tumhe bolna bhul gaya…. Tumhe yaad hai woh tumhare malik mr. aakash patil??

(I own a business…which is running really good. hey…I forgot to tell u…… do u remember ur boss Akash Patil???)

Madan:- haan… pata hai…. Kitne bhale aadmi the…. Meri manvi toh sirf ek saal ki thi….usse unki patni sambhalti thi din bhar apni beti ke saath….

(ya…I remember him. He was really a nice person. His wife used to look after my daughter along her's , when I used to work whole day.)

Rakesh:- unki patni payal patil ki family unki beti ko dhund rahe hai…!!!... aur unke aadmi aaye the tumhare baremein puchte hue mere paas….

(his wife 'payal patil's family is looking for her daughter, and their people came to me looking for u….)

Madan:- kya??!!

(what???)

Rakesh: - haan…. Woh bohot bade log hai…. L'Avenuel hotel ke malik…. Waise tumhe pata hai unki beti kaha hai???

(ha…. They r really rich people…. Owner of L'Avenuel hotel…. By the way do u know where is their daughter???)

Madan thought for a while recalling the incidents… then he reminded….

Madan:- haan… (after a pause)woh log kahan rehte hai???

(ya….. where do they stay???)

Rakesh:- woh log Shimla mein rehte hai!!!...

(they live somewhere in Shimla!!!)

Madan:- thanks yaar!!!...

Madan was very happy… as his all the miseries will be ending soon. He thought of asking handsome amount of money from them in return of the information he have…

Madan saved their daughter many years back from that heart wrecking earthquake. After her parent's death, he took her with him to Delhi…. But he was unable to look after two babies, due to his poor financial condition. So one day he left her in orphanage.

Madan went to that orphanage, in which he left the baby many years ago…. They told him that she was adopted by a couple, when she was two years old. He asked them to give her adopted parents details, but manager refused to give any information regarding her. It was illegal to disclose any information without any proper permission. Madan tried every way but manager refused to tell him anything about that child. He was about to leave….when…

Manager:- there's one way… I can give u her file with all her details… but for that u have to give me something….(evil smile)

Madan:- what do u want???

Manager:- haari patti!!!!...

Madan:- (smiling) how much???

Manager:- 50 thousand rupees!!!

Madan:- what!!! It's too much for a single file…. I don't have that kind of money now!!

Manager:- then come back when u have….

Madan:- k…. but its deal….

Manager:- deal !!!! (Shaking hand)

Karan followed Virat to his office….

Virat:- why r u following me… r u now interested in boys as well??!!!

Karan:- (laughing) don't worry…. Even, if that happens… I will not hook up with a rude guy like u…!!

Virat:- then, why did u come here???

Karan:- did u talk with veronica??? Because, whatever she did yesterday…….

Virat broke his sentence in middle…..

Virat:- I broke up with her!!!!!!!!

Karan:- what!!! Really!!! (Smiling)

Virat was surprised seeing him so happy…..

Virat:- what kind of friend u r…. I just have gone through a break up and u r smiling!!! U should console me… but all u do is being happy on my break up…..

Karan:- Virat.. My buddy….. Breakups are not that bad… because they bring u back from a nasty relationship…. It's actually a good thing!!! Haven't u learned from me… whenever I have gone through breakups I was always happy…. So u too just chill…. And welcome to singles club!!!!!

Virat:- (getting emotional) I didn't expect her to be so selfish karan … she only loves herself. She came back only for her own self….. And I idiot….got in wreath of her tears and gave her a second chance..

Karan:- hey Virat…. Don't blame urself…. It's ok!!... Just forget Ur past and look forward to Ur bright future… maybe someone is made for u…. who will love….only u!!!!

And they both hugged each other…..

At hospital….

Doctor:- Virat… u can take her home back….

Virat:- thanks uncle…. !!!

Doctor:- but u have to take care of her…. she is still weak…

Virat:- k… uncle I will… if anything necessary… I will call u…. k… bye…

Doctor:- bye!!!!

After getting loads of instructions from doctor manvi got discharged. She insisted Virat to take her home as she was bored in hospital…. So taking special permission from doctor manvi was allowed to go back home.

Manvi was welcomed by all, whole heartedly. Dadu came and hugged patting her back.

Dadu:- I m sorry beta….. u fell because of me…. I shouldn't have rushed going London. I m really sorry…

Manvi:- no Dadu… don't say that…. I m sorry… for making u worry… (Looking towards Virat)

Virat knew that words were for him. He smirked seeing her asking sorry in her own way….

Dadu:- now… u should rest manvi…. It's already late…. (Looking towards Virat)Virat… will u help her till room??

Virat:- ya Dadu… …I'll take her to her room….

Manvi:- by the way Dadu… where's aunty and uncle??

Dadu:- ram is having his art exhibition in Delhi…. So they will come tomorrow.

Dadu:- k… good night beta…!!!

Manvi:- good night Dadu!!!

Manvi came near stairs… she tried climbing stairs but she felt her head spinning. Virat came and held her from shoulder.

Virat:- (getting worried) r u ok… manvi????...

Manvi:- I m feeling as if head is spinning ….Virat.

Virat:- I told u to stay at hospital for a day but u never listen to anyone… wait… I will take u to ur room….

Saying, Virat picked her in his arm. Manvi was stunned seeing him carrying her in his arms. her eyes got wide in shock… Virat smiled looking at her expression. She felt cold chills running all over body... She grabbed his shirt in his fist… and closed her eyes tightly. He kept looking at her innocent face all way walking till her room. He made her sleep on bed. She still had her eyes closed. Virat moved back from her and ruffled her hair as usual… but the moment he touched her skin on forehead…. He felt it hot. He checked her again… she was having fever. She even shivered in cold….. He got hell worried seeing her in that condition. He called doctor immediately.

Virat:- doctor uncle… manvi is having fever… can u please come now….

Doctor:- I m sorry Virat…. It's snowing heavily outside… and it seems difficult to get out of home…. But don't worry… I will tell u instructions… u just follow them…. She will be fine.

Virat:- k…. tell me uncle….

Doctor told him all instruction how to take care of her.

Virat:- thanks uncle…. If anything needed I'll call u again….

Virat came near manvi… she had her eyes closed and was still shivering in cold. He made her sleep properly on middle of bed and covered her with thick blanket…. He ran downstairs to get water…as doctor told to make her drink water regularly.

He came back near her. She was still shivering. He made her drink water every half an hour. She was half conscious…. He kept on checking her temperature but it was still the same. He rubbed her palms and foot to make her warm… but nothing worked.

Virat:- manvi…manvi….please wake up….

He tried waking her up… but she hadn't enough strength to even move. Virat was hell scared for her. He tried rubbing her palms again, but her condition was not near to get any better. His eyes got wet seeing her shivering badly. He thought of last option which doctor suggested him. He felt really wrong thinking of doing it… but it was necessary to save her. He removed blanket …and leaned collecting her in his arms. he whispered in her ears…."I m sorry manvi!!!" and a tear fell down from his eye….

Manvi felt his touch…his smell…. lingering all over her body. It felt like heaven. She pulled him more closer and snuggled herself in his chest …. He felt a sense of happiness….watching her so near to him. He was so intoxicated by her closeness and her sweet smell that he couldn't stop himself. He moved his lips near her….he felt her warm breathes on his lips. He stopped himself and moved his lips on her forehead and kissed her….he covered them together with thick blanket and rubbed her back to make her feel better. He hugged her tightly till she stopped shivering... She moved her face in his crook of neck when he felt her lips lingering on his neck. A cold shiver ran down his spine. It was getting more harder for him every passing second but he controlled himself closing his eyes…… Whole night he slept taking her in his arms… protecting her!!!!!
