I am not trying undermine the pain of losing hair during chemotherapy. But I also want to say going bald can also be fun.

I liked it when I had my tonsure 6 years back. It is having your head shaved off the hair and I had it in Tirupati Tirumala Devastanam to donate my hair to God. Until I had the shave, it was purely in devotional sense. But a day later, I actually started enjoying the bald head. The head felt so light and nice. I loved every moment of it. I had long hair, so I enjoyed the new weightlessness.

Look at my pic.

you look great!! 👍🏼
i think that in Maanvi's case, she didn't choose this...you're was a choice...so i guess it's easier when you choose to do it for some reason, rather than having it taken away from you...nonetheless, great post!

losing your hair to chemo is more painfull and upsetting rather than choosing to do it. and you had the courage to shaved off your hair in devotion, hats off, but not everyone can do that!!
regardless nice post, how long did it take to grow back?? atleast shoulder length..

The maximum hair growth we can have in a year is 6 inches. So I can say my hair grew at that rate or a little less, but the quality of the hair is longer like I had it previously.

Hope I am not offending anyone here. Please do let me know before it becomes an offensive post. I can remove it. Yaar,I feel too old to get emotional and generally a serious plus fun loving person. But that does not mean that I do not understand how much of hair-loss problem becomes a serious concern to people. We have the whole hair-care industry supporting that.

You look great.

And like everyone said, it's different if you choose to do it than those who have no choice. Maanvi's hair has been her pride and losing her hair is like losing her pride.

Hey Ursula!!
Long time. These days I am not getting much time to watch all the shows I like. The TV buff I am but unfortunately I don't have time. I am keeping myself abreast reading forum news and post. The bald track promos from Telebuzz actually made me interested and so I couldn't help comparing my reality with show's emotional capture.

Thanks guys.

What I must also mention is people's reaction to Bald Head.

While it was easy to shave my hair and I didn't mind my looks, it was frustrating to answer people's questions. The way people react to a bald head can make a conscious person go weak, feel sensitive or an indifferent person like me bored and tired to give out the story. The thing is people show so much concern as if something bad happened. Such interest is totally unwarranted. It forced even a person like me to go for a bandana to avoid unpleasantness to people around me, those concerned eyes; in the initial one or two months.
Then I just discarded it completely.
