Hello friends,this is my first ever OS .😊 I've been commenting on the beautiful OSs and SSs you people have written and have been inspired to write one myself.This OS is regarding my two most FAVOURITE jodis our dearest Arnav-Khushi and cutest Virat-Manvi.I really really hope you all will like my first attempt at writing an one shot.
Teach Me To Pray : ArHi-Virman crossover OS
Arnav had been walking across the hospital corridor for the umpteenth time . He could not even stand still for a second leave alone sitting down . How could he when Khushi,his Khushi was struggling for life. Arnav almost looked like a madman---- his hair was unkempt, some of his shirt's button torn, dark red marks on his wrists showed signs of recent bondage, to add to these-worry, tiredness and tension was written all over his face. Suddenly something caught his sight. A young man in his early twenties was standing near something. His hands were folded, eyes closed and he was muttering to himself. Arnav wondered what this man was up to. A strange kind of radiance was their on his face which overshadowed the pain and worry in him Arnav felt. He approached the man and that is when he noticed the idol of the Mother-Goddess( Khushi's devi maiyyan) to which the man had been praying. Unable to resist himself Arnav started speaking---
Ar: Do you think that this piece of carved out stone will at all listen to your pleadings??
Virat opened his eyes slowly.He had been praying for quite a long time now.It took him some time to accommodate his eyes to the light and make out the man's appearance who had just spoken to him.Seeing Arnav's haggard state he realized that the man before him was going through a phase similar to his. He spoke---
Vi: It is not about thinking, it's about faith. There was a time when even I did not believe in all this praying and such things but my Partner changed my outlook on life. She taught me what is the importance of faith in life, what is the importance of Love in life.
Ar: This world is too cruel. It ruthlessly snatches your happiness just when you realize their worth. Certain foolish people worship these deaf deities day and night but get nothing other than pain and hurt in their life like my di and my wife(his voice breaks at this point).
Vi: Maybe you are right but maybe you aren't. Those who pray sincerely always have their prayers answered. You and I feel that they are in trouble but when you look at it carefully you will find that they had never prayed for their happiness as such in the first place,they only prayed for their dear ones' well being which God has taken care of.
Arnav was touched with this reply. He felt that situation has made this man much more mature for his age.
Ar: But can this God of yours give me my Khushi back??
Vi: Khushi??
Ar: She's my wife, my love,my heart, my soul….my life. She took the bullet meant for me and is struggling for life now. She did all of this for a terrible man like me who never managed to give her the happiness and love she deserved. I didn't even get the opportunity to apologize for my deeds (tears form in his eyes).
Vi: My Partner says God always gives those a second chance who sincerely ask for it. If you place your faith on God entirely you'll surely get your chance.
Ar: Who is this Partner of yours??
Vi: Her name's Manvi. She's to me what your Khushi is to you. She's my best friend, my future,….my life. She is undergoing her final treatment for her cancer. If she manages to survive this she'll be cured forever(his face lights up for a second) or else….(tears of pain run down his cheeks and he stops speaking unable to continue).
Arnav feels sorry for this boy. Within this short time he has developed a soft-corner for this boy.He sees Virat calming himself down. He decides to leave.
Vi: So you won't pray??
Ar: Asr never prays.
Vi: Only your love and faith can help you I feel….anyways good luck..
Ar: Good luck to you too.
Just as Arnav reaches the operation theatre, the doctor comes out. Khushi's and his family anxiously stood up.
Doc: (to Arnav) She's in critical condition Mr Raizada….only a miracle can save her…if she doesn't regain consciousness within 24 hrs then we're sorry….
As soon as the doctor leaves, Arnav rushes back to the place where he had seen Virat. He finds Virat still there but this time kneeling down and praying with all his heart while tears are streaming down his face. He understood that Manvi might be in the same state as Khushi was in. Without wasting time he hurried beside Virat and for the first time in his life Arnav Singh Raizada PRAYED to God. Sensing his presence, Virat opened his eyes slightly and saw the person kneeling beside him and a small smile played on his lips in spite of his sorrow. They not only prayed for themselves but also prayed for each other.
With the break of dawn Jeevika(Virat's sis-in law and Manvi's elder sister) and Anjali (Arnav's elder sister) were rushing to the small mandir at the hospital to inform Virat and Arnav respectively about the good news of both Manvi and Khushi being out of danger. On reaching, the sight in front of them rendered them awestruck, there in front of them were Arnav and Virat kneeling on the floor and serenely praying for the safety of the love of their life. Neither Jeevika ,nor Anjali could take their eyes of these two faithful lovers, who loved with all their heart and soul. Tears formed in both their eyes at this extremely touching sight.

After 2 years,
At a shopping mall in Mumbai,
Arnav and Khushi were shopping with little Aashiya, Arnav and Khushi's one year old daughter. At the same time Virat and Manvi were also there shopping at the same mall. Suddenly they came face to face and both Virat and Arnav recognized each other. They could never forget the time they had spent praying together for their love. They walked towards each other with a warm smile on their face. Their surprised partners followed them.
Ar: Hey, hello. How's your life going on? Really nice to meet you again.
Vi: Oh, everything's fine with us. What about you? (his eyes fall on khushi with Aasiya in her arms) Khushi I guess??
Kh: (perplexed) ya, but how do you….
Vi: (laughing)Oh he told me back at the hospital.(pointing at Arnav)…By the way I don't even know your name now I realize…
Ar: Even I don't know yours… But I think I know her. (turning to Manvi) You are his Partner Manvi right??
Ma: Yup, I'm Manvi alright but I've been promoted from his partner's rank to his Life-partner (she giggled while saying this)…
Seeing the strange situation that the acquainted don't know each other's name but know their partner's names, all four of them began laughing. Seeing them Aasiya also started laughing. Seeing such a sweet baby Manvi started cuddling her. She loved babies just like Khushi did.
Ma: Chooo chweeet… your daughter, Khushi??
Kh: Ya, her name's Aasiya. One day you'll also have a cute baby like her, Manvi..(winking sweetly)
Manvi blushed deeply at his.
Vi: Now can we please introduce our own selves or else a time will come when we will introduce each other to our great grand children without ourselves knowing each other.
All of them had a hearty laugh once again.
Ar: I'm Arnav Singh Raizada
Kh: Head of AR industries (she added proudly).
Vi: I see… I'm Virat Singh Vadhera
Ma: The Singer…MY Chep (she was also equally proud of her husband)
Ar: If you are not too busy can you both join us for dinner here at lazeeb's ??
Vi: We would love to
At the dinner table, all of them were happily having their foor and chatting about their lives when suddenly Arnav spoke out.
Ar: I'll forever be indebted to you Virat….
Vi: But why??
Ar: Thank You so so very much for teaching me the power of faith and love…you made me do what no one could ever manage to….. You TAUGHT ME TO PRAY….
