Krystle Dsouza

Sweet, beautiful, and affable Krystle Dsouza certainly won many hearts after her spirited debut in Balaji's Kahe Naa Kahe. Krystle, who has a penchant for painting, is currently on cloud nine. Reason: she is playing the female lead in Cinevistaas' Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hain on Star Plus.

In an exclusive interview with Tellychakkar.com, Krystle shares her experience in the show, her love life, hobbies and more. Excerpts:

Tell us about your experience shooting for Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hain?

Oh, it has been amazing so far. The show is being aired on prime time on Star Plus. And I am playing the female lead. It is a big opportunity for me. After my last show, Baat Hamari Pakki Hai, I took a break for a year and went to Canada. My parents stay there and I am a permanent resident of that country. After the break when I came to India, Ek Hazaaron.. happened to me. Now I know what it means to play the lead in a show that is being aired on a big channel. The amount of popularity and recognition I have gained is absolutely overwhelming. Furthermore, everyone in Star is also very kind, helpful and encouraging (smiles).

You started your career with Balaji's Kahe Naa Kahe? Do you want to work with the production house again?

I would love to. Ekta is a wonderful person. At Balaji, each and every actor is pampered a lot. For me, it is my second home.

From Kahe Na Kahe to Ek Hazaaron…How has the journey been?

Hmmm….the journey has been good. Luckily, I did not have to struggle much. Ekta saw my face, liked it and decided to cast me in Kahe Na Kahe. Even with Ek Hazaaron, things were pretty smooth. I am learning a lot as an actress with each passing day and I love to be a part of the TV industry.

You want to anchor shows as well?

Of course. I would like to try out everything that would help me explore myself as an actor and a performer. I think anchoring is a challenging job and I would love to do it.

What about reality shows?

I love to dance a lot. So I would love to participate in any dance reality show. Furthermore, I also like Bigg Boss. I think I have the maturity and the patience level to be in the house. It is a nice show where you get to know more about yourself as a person.

Okay. Do you consider acting is a secure profession?

Ahhh…I don't think so. Deep down, every actor is a bit insecure. You never know what is in store after a show ends. But thankfully, my family is well settled, and if acting doesn't work I will go back to studying. If that also doesn't work, I will go back to Canada and do something (I don't know what). Kuch nahin hua to shaadi kar lungi (laughs). I think being a girl things are easier when compared to a boy. A boy has a lot more responsibilities.

Now, tell us about your love life?

Love life? Right now it's only work, work and work. It's quite sad actually (smiles). Buy yeh, my kind of guy iss duniya mein abhi tak banahi nahin. He has to be committed, handsome, with a good sense of humour, smart, intelligent, well-settled and all in all, a complete man. Now, one man can't have all the qualities, so do teen janose shaadi karni padegi (laughs). I am just kidding. Well, right now my priority is work. When I meet the right person, I shall definitely let you know.

Fair enough. So how do you unwind?

I love painting. It's not like I am a professional and all, but yes I paint whenever I get time. I love to draw abstract and random things. That is I how I unwind.

What are your future plans?

Right now my focus is entirely on Ek Hazaaron Mein…Yes, I also want to act in films if something interests me, but for me, television is the medium to connect with the masses.

Any message for fans?

Please keep watching my show and appreciating my work. Never stop loving me and shower me with blessings and good wishes. I am no one without my fans (smiles).

I have more regard for her now.. Staying away from family.. in a different country.. I know it gets tough at times... disillusionment takes over sometimes.. Glad she is enjoying what she is doing... and flexible about her options in life...

All the best Krystle..

oh nice.. she is a xaverian...😆 so is my bro.. well what I meant is she is currently living away from her family in order to pursue her dreams.. so am I.. in a different country far away.. and sometimes one does start having doubts if all of it is worth it.. but at the end of the day if you are grounded in your dreams.. its all good.. and I defo loved her open options of going back to studying further or taking up other vocations if things didnt work out..

most actors say they have had to struggle.. its rather refreshing to hear someone say it wasnt all that bad of a struggle to get the break..😆I defo liked her positivity..

TellyChakkar articles aren't allowed on I-F...so this post will probably get closed soon unfortunately :(

LOVED the interview...she's a sweetheart!!! Really want to see her paintings/drawings one day...I'm sure she's just as good at that! <3 Not a fan of reality shows, especially BB...so I really hope she doesn't do that but would love to see her anchor a show, if it doesn't interfere with EHMMBH. ;)

OMG, she's a resident of Canada? That's AWESOME, considering I'm in the same place! 😎 🤣 Would love to meet her one day...hope I have such luck! :p I feel her anxiety about staying away though...I know how that can feel *sigh* All the best to KD for everything she does in life...she has the capability to do anything! Lovely interview! :)
